Reddit Commentary Video Editor + VA
Project Overview
Hi everyone! This is a casting call for video editors and voice actors for a reddit reading channel. I'm casting for both VA to read posts off of subreddits but also people who can edit the videos. For video editors, it doesn't matter how long you have been editing for or what software you use, just as long as you are competent and can have it formatted so it can be uploaded to youtube. It also doesn't matter how much voice acting experience that you have, just as long as you can speak clearly. At first this will be a side project, but when it gets monitized the earnings will be cut and split fairly between everyone. Earnings from each video will be split between those who were in the video, though if it becomes hard to keep track of it will just be split equally every week or two and will be done through paypal.
WHAT TO HAVE IN YOUR AUDITION
I will primarily be communicating to everyone via discord, so please when you submit your audition add your discord in the description. My discord is Bluejay#4181, so expect a friend request from an account by that name. We will be looking for multiple voice actors and editors, though only 1 role for each will be there. Don't worry about 'not being good enough' because thereis a good chance that you will be chosen. It is also important to
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU
First, we want people of multiple different backgrounds and editing styles, it really doesn't matter.
For editors, when submitting a completed video, have it formatted in a way where it can be uploaded to youtube. Please also make sure that everything is synced up. It is expected that you complete editing a video within a week, though I am willing to extend that time as I have never edited before.
For voice actors, you can choose a subreddit or two that you want to read off of and that can sort of be 'your thing'. Please try and have little to no background noise, and an ok quality mic at least (so that your voice can easily be heard). You can take multiple takes so that you can get your best recordings.

The budget is just for starting off as I can't garentee payment after a certain period of time. It is reccomended that you do a few different voices (e.g. karen, child) just in case. Demo reels are welcome. For this audition, remarks and thoughts shouldn't be added, though when recording reddit stories feel free to add them throughout and after the stories if you want to ge something out, just try not to interupt the flow too much. I work at a hotel as front desk. It was a busy night like every other weekend. This hotel guest, a geisinger nurse, came up and asked for towels. I said no problem and went to get what she needed. As soon as I walked away she starts screaming at my coworker “What is wrong with her” “Why is she like that” then as I come back out of the room with her towels she says “If she’s ever dying. DON’T call me, I’ll let her die” word for word. A nurse, whos ethical code is to help people said that about me. I am very upset about this and management does not care at all. I’m upset I have to continue let a woman who just said she would let me die, walk all over me and continue to be ignorant. Idk what i should do.
The fact someone, A NURSE, has so much entitlement she decides who she lets live and die based on whether she likes thom. That’s crazy to me. But I’m upset and didn’t know where I should share this.

The reason for the zero budget is because there wont be any payment until the channel gets monitized.

The reason for the budget is that it wont be monitised for a while, though when it is you will be payed. Your job is to help find interesting reddit stories for the narrators to tell and comment on.
