RECAST - The Emperor's New Groove [Pacha+Family]
Project Overview
Project Idea Conception
The Emperor's New Groove is one of Disney's movies that sticks out the most. The characters are some of the most strange, diverse... and just plain out fun that Disney has been able to produce in a while. I thought, seeing as there are no fandubs for the movie that go over more than one scene, I'd start a casting call for it. Note: The final product will be an audio file, available for download. (This file can be played in sync with the movie). Due to copyright I cannot upload/obtain the original movie. The audio file will contain the voice acting, sound effects, and music. For those who may wish to edit audio, I've left an audio engineer slot open for those who may want to contribute to the project in that way.
Project Goal
1. Be dedicated. If you're joining this project, be aware most lead characters have between 200-500 lines. This means complying with deadlines (which I will distribute after casting).
2. Have clean audio. For this project character accuracy is the most important aspect to getting cast, however static, echoing and peaking are things I want to avoid.
3. Have discord. Although not required, I want each member of the cast to be engaged with each other and the project.
I look forward to working with all of you, and I wish you luck on finding the role that's right for you! Remember, no matter how small the role is, each role is very important!

Kuzco (Emperor Kuzco) is the protagonist of the film. He is the emperor of the Kuzconian Empire in Peru, known for his arrogant and saucy personality. When his ruthless behavior gets him transformed into a talking llama, Kuzco slowly comes to realize the error of his ways.
Line Count: 300~
Will you take a look at that? Pretty pathetic, huh? Well, you'll never believe this, but that llama you're looking at was once a human being. And not just any human being. That guy was an emperor. A rich, powerful ball of charisma.
Time to check out the ladies! Is that all you've got? What is he babbling about? He's like the thing that wouldn't shut up.
Hey, listen, Pacha, you know, what I said to you back at the diner, that--that-- I--I didn't really... (Pacha: So...you tired of being a llama?) [Sniffles] [Crying] Ye-ee-ee-es! [Sniff]
Pacha is the humble villager who resides with his family in a small brick hut on top of a hill. Kuzco wants to claim Pacha's land for his own purposes. Kuzco and Pacha slowly learn to respect each other as they make a treacherous journey back to the palace in attempt to save Kuzco's life.
Line Count: 220~
Uh, excuse me. I'm here to see Emperor Kuzco. You see, I got this summons-- Yeah. My family has lived on that hilltop for the last 6 generations. When the sun hits that ridge just right, these hills sing. [Worried] What? Uh...uh... um...I don't understand how this could happen. But where will we live?! W- Wait- NO!
Oh! Was Mom baking again? Heh. Don't tell her I said that.
[Gasps] [Gasps] [Inhales] [Sighs] Your Highness. Your Highness, can you hear me? Oh, boy. Come on, breathe. Breathe! Ohh. Why me? Ooh! All right. [Inhales] Ohh!
Yzma is the main antagonist of the film. She is an evil sorceress and the former adviser to Emperor Kuzco. After being fired from her longstanding position, Yzma becomes obsessed with killing the emperor, and makes numerous attempts to do so with the aid of her dim-witted assistant, Kronk.
Line Count: 150~
It is no concern of mine whether your family has... What was it again? (Peasant: ...uh, food.) Ha! You really should have thought of that before you became peasants. We're through here. Take him away. Next!
To the secret lab! Pull the lever, Kronk. [Kronk Pulls The Letter] WRONG LEVEEEEEEEEEERRRRR..............
Aah! Why me? Why me? Why, why, why? [Yzma's interest is peaked] Oh! uh...uh, talking lama? (Nervous laughter) Do tell!
Voiced by Patrick Warburton, Kronk often serves as Yzma's hapless henchman, but he is genuinely good-hearted and friendly at his core.
Line Count: 180~
Listen, you guys. You're sort of confusing me, so begone! Uh, or, uh, you know. However I get rid of you guys.
Faster! Faster! Yzma, put your hands in the air! Whoooo-hooo!
Oh. Hey! Hey, you! Hey! Excuse me. Excuse me. Stop! Pardon me. Excuse me. Sorry about that. Comin' through. Hey, you with the cart! Uh-oh. This is not good. Uhh. Hope that doesn't come back to haunt me.
Chicha is the wife of Pacha. She is wise and has a positive attitude on life. She has fun playing dumb when Yzma comes knocking pretending to be Pacha's aunt.
Line Count: 30~
I heard that. OK, everybody, move aside. Lady with a baby coming through.
So, remind me again how you're related to Pacha?
Shh! It's OK, it's OK. Tipo, calm down. It was just a dream. Your dad's fine. He just went back to see the emperor.
Tipo, the son of Pacha and Chicha, is an expressive, caring child.
Line Count: 25~
Dad's home! Dad, Dad, Dad! Look at how big I am! We were all measured today. Ew! [Giggles]
[Extremely Expressive] I had a dream that Dad was tied to a log and careening out of control down a raging river of death!
Nuh-uh. Nuh-uh. Nuh-uh. Nuh-uh. Nuh-uh. Nuh-uh.
Chaca, the daughter of Pacha and Chicha, is an mildy quirky, yet caring child.
Line Count: 20~
What? Tipo, get out of the way. It's my turn again. Measure me.
That's not as impressive as my loose tooth. See?
[Proud] Well, in my dream, Dad had to kiss a llama.
She is a waitress at Mudka's Meat Hut, a restaurant in the jungle. Although her role is small, it is very important.
Line Count: 10~
[Sighs] Welcome to Mudka's Meat Hut, home of the mug... [rudely interrupted] ...of meat. What'll it be?
[Yells to the kitchen] Three pork combos, extra bacon on the side, two chili cheese samplers, a basket of liver and onion rings, a catch of the day, and a steak cut in the shape of a trout. You got all that, honey?
No problem, hon. We do that all the time.
Voiced by the late John Fielder, (Piglet in Whinnie the Pooh) Rudy is an elderly man who threw off the emperor's groove.
Line Count: 10~
Well, I... I threw off the emperor's groove. His groove! The rhythm in which he lives his life, his pattern of behavior. I threw it off, and the emperor had me thrown out the window. Don't throw off his groove! Beware the [ghost like whale] grooooove.
Oh, it's not the first time I was tossed out a window, and it won't be the last. What can I say? I'm a rebel. [Playfully throws weak punches at Kuzco]
Sovereign and straight to the point.
Line Count: 10~
I'm sorry, but you've thrown off the emperor's groove.
For the last time, we did not order a giant trampoline.
The Record Keeper is a nervous middle aged man. He is constantly plagued with the stress and responsibility that comes from keeping the records and events of the palace in check.
Line Count: 10~
Aah! Your Highness, it is time for you to choose your bride.
Oh, yes. Oh, no. I mean, perhaps--
This peasant is terrified of the palace, yet his visit determines life or death for his village. A nervous character.
