Project Goals:
Emerald City: The Rise of Eros is a cinematic fantasy audio drama that blends immersive storytelling with themes of mental health and personal growth.
The series explores real-world struggles through a fantastical lens—examining the challenges people face, highlighting moments of vulnerability, and offering insight into how we can reshape our perspectives. It aims to show the balance between what we can and cannot control, and how to find strength and clarity when the world seems to stand against us. It is focussed on emotionally grounded performances
Project Storyline:
Set on the magic-rich plane of Rifterria—where the flow of mana has spun out of control—unpredictable surges now tear through reality, teleporting individuals across vast distances of the mystical sea. These chaotic forces have also twisted the natural world, transforming animals into monstrous predators that constantly threaten Emerald City, where humanity clings to survival against creatures that now see them as prey.
The series follows Sophia Starlight, a bodyguard assigned to a project designed to summon powerful humanoids from other worlds to protect the last surviving sanctuary—Emerald City. One such arrival is Eros, a morally complex warlock whose mysterious past and extraordinary abilities begin to disrupt the city’s fragile balance of power—both in warfare and politics.
As Eros aids civilians, battles rift-born creatures, and maneuvers through a city divided by four rival military factions and vast inequality in magic and technology, he begins to forge a legacy that blurs the line between savior and manipulator.
Blending high fantasy with introspective drama, Emerald City: The Rise of Eros invites listeners into a world of survival, self-discovery, and emotional healing.

Character Description:
Orin Lioncrest is one of the four Chairmen of Emerald City. He strives to be wise and level-headed but often finds himself drawn into conflict. Standing seven feet tall, he is an older, large, and powerful man who carries a strong sense of protectiveness and a burden of guilt from his past.
He speaks in a deep, calm, and steady tone, using his measured voice as a means of maintaining control—both internally and in the eyes of others. Orin is a respected community leader who values his people deeply, forging strong personal connections within his district and willingly making personal sacrifices for their well-being. However, he remains wary and skeptical of outsiders.

The previous voice actor for Orin Lioncrest was unable to fulfill the role. The linked example reflects the voice style I originally had in mind, and I will prioritize submissions that capture a similar tone and presence. However, you’re also encouraged to submit both a prioritized take (matching the reference) and an original interpretation if you have a unique vision for the character.
