Rascal Does Not Dream Of Bunny Girl Senpai FANDUB!
Project Overview
This is an abridged fandub series of the anime "Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai"! For those of you unfamiliar with the series: The seemingly normal life of Sakuta Azusagawa, a high school student changes drastically when he meets a wild bunny girl that seems to be invisible to others. Puberty Syndrome-a rumored mysterious syndrome that only affects those in their puberty. Our plan is to make this an abridged/fandub, due to the high demand of this show being in an English dub!

Please ensure that your microphone is capable of recording your performance without picking up overwhelming background noises thank you!
You will be required to put in the effort and express your emotions as you play the character. Rember it’s your voice! You are your own character! It’s impossible to mimic a voice actor! You are your own character. Since you have both become one.
If you are cast be sure you enjoy this project and gain more experience in voice acting!
DEADLINES AND AUDITIONS
The deadline for auditions is December 10th, 2021. There are currently no plans to extend this deadline, as the full episode one script is ready to be released to voice actors. We’ll notify voice actors/ announce who has been cast for these roles by December 11th or 12th! I am planning on sending out the OFFICIAL Discord server on the same day!
WHAT TO EXPECT
Expect to be warmly greeted by myself, Opal. At this point, you’ll be part of our Bunny Senpai Family, where you’ll get to interact with other voice actors from around the globe, all of whom offer a wealth of experience and knowledge.
We communicate primarily through Discord. If you are unfamiliar with this application, you will need to have the app to audition and to be cast!
Because YouTube will set a copyright strike on my channel if I post the entire episode on my channel when the whole episode is done I will post a clip on my channel then have a link in the description to access the whole episode!
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU
First and foremost, have fun -- we take pride in bringing together talents in different mediums to create something truly phenomenal, but none of it means anything if the people involved aren’t passionate about their craft.
Please submit clean recordings! (we don't mind performing noise reduction on your files, however, too much clean-up reduces the quality of your voice). And speaking of clean-up -- please let us handle the post-production. Don’t add effects to your lines -- leave that to our audio geniuses :)

Please submit your recordings as one .MP3 file to We do occasionally ask for line re-dos, but we do this sparingly and only after great consideration - we realize your time is valuable, and we won't ask for anything we can't work around in edits.
Lastly, since we are planning on doing the entire season. We'd like to cast people who will be able to stick with us for a while. (maybe we might do the movie..)

Voice Actor
Sakuta's most iconic trait is his consistent deadpan face and manner of speech regardless of his emotional state. He will often voice whatever he has on his mind with a calm demeanor. Sakuta is a socially isolated and calm individual as a result of his ordeal with Puberty Syndrome. While he states that he is not bothered by what people think about him, or care about trying to fit in and be accepted by his classmates, he does admit that rumors about him are sometimes quite painful to hear and that his indifference comes from a feeling that it is pointless to try and go against the "atmosphere"-the social order of school, and tries to hide from it. Nonetheless, he states that he doesn't care if the whole world would hate him, as long as one person would need him, and isn't hesitant about defying social norms.
Despite his anti-social demeanor, he does show care and compassion for those he cares about, especially those who suffer from bullying or the Adolescence Syndrome like his sister and himself.
Sakuta is also not afraid to show his perverted side and will often make blunt and straightforward lewd remarks to the girls he interacts with. However, these comments are mostly jokes he directs at others and is by no means ill-intended.
All in all, Sakuta's personality can be summarized as being incredibly selfless, kind, and helpful, but also very snarky. He's often blunt, honest, and straightforward with Mai, and he enjoys making lewd jokes that leave her flustered. Ultimately, they both love to tease each other, and they have very similar personalities: both are quick-witted, with a sarcastic streak, yet very kind and helpful, with an immensely good heart, and always do what's right.
"I feel having two friends is more than enough. I just have to be friends with them for the rest of my life."
"I don't mind if I only had one person. Even if the whole world hated me, I could keep living if that person needed me."

Voice Actor
Mai is a serious individual, especially around Sakuta Azusagawa. She can be considered as a type B tsundere: she isn't harsh by default, but she can be easily annoyed and come across as somewhat snappy or violent when Sakuta does or says something lewd. She usually responds to Sakuta's openly lewd remarks about her by pinching him, slapping him, or stepping on his foot, but can also be flustered just as easily and her tsundere act fails. Mai tends to ignore and stuff unpleasant feelings down rather than deal with them. Sakuta often points out that she is "dishonest", often lying about her feelings. She and Sakuta enjoy teasing each other, but despite her snarkiness, she's pure-hearted and even shy around Sakuta's jokes.
Mai is very sensitive, polite, levelheaded, helpful, and kind. She also has a very soft spot for Kaede Azusagawa, Sakuta's younger sister. Mai is also very intelligent, she's implied to have very good grades and even helps Sakuta study at one point. Though Mai can be somewhat harsh and strict towards Sakuta at times, and call him a pervert or an idiot, she is genuinely affectionate and kind to him as well, and often says that she loves him more than he thinks.
Before her invisibility was subdued by Sakuta, she harbored deep anxiety over the possibility that she could be forgotten entirely. She was also quite sensitive over the topic of her hiatus, as she still harbored bitter feelings over the circumstances which caused them; these feelings have now subsided since she started acting at another agency. Because of her anxiety, she used to be somewhat distrustful and pessimistic, still remaining a very compassionate person.
All in all, although she's emotional and sensitive, Mai is a really nice and kind individual. Notable examples include when Mai denounced the hospitalization incident as false for Sakuta's sake, and when she gave Kaede a dress both as a gift and to at least spark interest in returning to the outside world.
She's also very selfless, sacrificing herself to save Sakuta from being hit by a car, and even becoming Shoko's heart donor. Still, Sakuta manages to get back in time to save her.
Overall, she can be described as very similar to Sakuta: they're both quick-witted individuals with a sarcastic streak, yet very kind and helpful, with an immensely good heart, and who always do what's right.

Pre-amnesia
Kaede originally had a kind, yet cheeky personality which granted her little difficulty with social interaction. She regains this personality after completing her list of goals.
Post-amnesiaEver since Kaede lost her memories and gained a new personality as a result of Adolescence Syndrome, she shut herself away from the internet and the outside world in general and developed a phobia of strangers, as shown when first meeting Mai Sakurajima. Kaede is soft-spoken, cheerful, loved pandas and had a strong will to go to school. She is a bit clingy to her brother, and tended to refer to herself in the third person.
Big Brother has given Kaede so much happiness. She loves him now, has always loved him, and will always love him.
BUT HALF OF KAEDE IS MADE OF OF FEELINGS FOR YOU!

Voice Actor
Rio is a stoic and blunt girl who possesses substantial knowledge in science, including chemistry and quantum physics. She has a sharp sense of humor and is even more sarcastic and straightforward than Sakuta. Before experiencing it herself, she was unwilling to believe the existence of Adolescence Syndrome, but she did acknowledge the abnormal phenomenon it induces and connects them with various scientific theories and principles. Despite her stoic nature, Rio also shows various emotions such as love, as holds affection towards Yuuma, as well as anxiousness. She's also genuinely kind and loves her friends.
Rio is implied to have experienced a form of neglect, as shown when Sakuta visits her house, she tells him her parents are usually abroad because of work. In addition, she has no siblings, which further proves that she chooses to be alone as this is her comfort zone that she unwillingly developed thanks to her lonely childhood. Although, this loneliness is what gave her the courage to approach Sakuta first when they were in the same class, as she saw him as an outcast just like her.
The second Rio Futaba behaves nearly identically to the original, but she has taken a hobby of posting risque photos on social media as a form of "self-mutilation" and to have an objective look on herself.
Nothing less from you, Azusagawa. Such a rascal.
If you're referring to puberty syndrome, I believe I've already said it before, but I don't believe in it.
The theory is that the existence of something is confirmed only when it is observed. Surely you've at least heard about the cat in the box, right?

Unlike Saki Kamisato (Yuuma's girlfriend), Yuuma is a charming and friendly person who cares for the well being of others not for social gain but for good intentions as a friend as he is usually the one to approach social outcasts like Sakuta Azusagawa, containing his character as a nice individual.

Saki's primary concern is her popularity at school, shown when she confronted Sakuta Azusagawa and told him to stop hanging out with her boyfriend Yuuma Kunimi, as Saki assumed Sakuta's status as a loner would lower Yuuma's reputation and hers as well. In later episodes, it's revealed that she has a sister that she's often compared to by her parents, implying Saki developed a low self-esteem because of it, which can explain why she is very protective of Kunimi's image and her own, because her own self-image in her eyes is already fragile.

If Yuma proceeds to hang out with the class loner, his popularity will plummet. I'd feel sorry for him if that happened

While Fumika is surely passionate about her job, she is very reasonable. She agrees with Mai to prevent leaking Sakuta Azusagawa's picture of his scar in exchange for an interview with her later.
