ACE ATTORNEY RAP BATTLE: Manfred Von Karma
Project Overview
Hi. My name is Ciaran. I own the YouTube channel “ZodiacKiaran” where I create Rap Battles, similar in vein to Epic Rap Battles of History. I work and collab with many other creators and VAs in a community of other rap battle makers. I like my Rap Battles to feature high quality performances with relatively accurate portrayals of the characters in the matchup, and that’s where I need your help.
I am looking for a talented voice actor and rapper who can accurately portray the voice of Manfred Von Karma from the Ace Attorney franchise. The voice I am looking for is based on his voice in the Ace Attorney Anime Dub, which is very low, intimidating, and very dominating. As far as the accent goes, a low adult male British accent might be most suited for this role.
Requirements:
- Low, powerful voice (preferably British, male)
- High quality microphone and recordings. I will not accept cheap quality microphones such as garageband/guitar hero mics. Anything from Blue Yeti/Snowball or even higher quality is acceptable for me as long as the recordings are high quality and are easy to mix.
- While not mandatory, knowledge of Ace Attorney or having watched the Ace Attorney dub would be helpful in capturing the essence of Karma’s character, as I am looking for a good portrayal of character in this rap battle
- Experience in rapping or performing in nerd core songs/raps (If you have featured in any such content, please link it to me so I can know what I’m working with)
- I’m looking for a VOICE ACTOR who can characterize the descriptions of the character I listed here accurately, and isn’t just reading off lyrics and simply saying what’s there. I’m looking for personality and someone who can jump into the character when recording the lyrics.
- When recording, I’m looking for a main single VOCAL LINE wav. file and a separate single BACKUP VOCAL wav. file. That means record the main vocals first, and for further emphasis in the lines, certain lines will require a single backup vocal line that goes underneath the vocal line. DO NOT send me .wav files for literally every single bar you record separately, otherwise you will end up sending me 80+ different wav files.

Manfred Von Karma is known in the Ace Attorney universe as the undefeated king of the prosecutors. He has never lost a single case in his 40 years as being a prosecutor and has only ever taken one day off in his entire career. He is serious, dominating, intimidating and takes no foolishness from anyone in court, and will literally do anything in his power to keep his winning streak, even going as fas as fabricating evidence, destroying evidence , or even harming or killing people to get his way. He is ruthless, and talks in a boisterous, loud, commanding, and threatening voice. He takes no shit from anyone even the judge, and goes as far as frightening the judge by telling him how to do his job.
I’m looking for a voice that characterizes all of these elements and I would recommend watching the Ace Attorney Anime episodes “Turnabout Goodbyes” if you need any assistance into how to capture this role.
