Rain World Short: The Monk and The Rain Deer
Project Overview
Greetings to all! This is the first casting call I had that was related to Rain World, so this is like a test to see how many people are interested!
This was planned to start out as a form of a storyboard/sketch, and it may become a full short. I'm not entirely sure. But this may change.

The Monk has been through it all. Lizards, Vultures, Worm Grass, Centipedes, everything. When they meet a friendly Rain Deer, they figured that the creature could help them cross the Worm Grass. For this role, we are looking for someone who can play The Monk in a child-like manner.

Rain Deer, I’ve heard the term used before, and I wanted to ask you about it. What is… ascension?

Yeah… my sibling Survivor was with us trying to get to shelter… and then they... fell. I fell in after them and now I don’t know where she is.

The sibling to The Monk. They seem to be the lost puzzle piece in The Monk's life... for now. For this role, contact is not needed as the lines here are their only lines. Your audition will be used in the final product.

The Rain Deer that Monk encounters is one of the more respected ones. But their high ranking does not mean that they don't feel pity for others. This one seems to be a bit more... calming. We're looking for someone who can portray them with an ethereal-like atmosphere.

Oh, greetings, Slugcat. I will surely help you cross these fields of Worm Grass. Plus, it's a good thing you asked me, others would've probably ignored you.
Ascension. Well... I could go on about it. But... you've got a long way to go before you have to worry about it. It... will mark the end of a chapter in the history of the world. In other words, it can be memorable. I'm not saying that like... maybe... nevermind.
You say they call you "The Monk"... I can see where they get that from. You seem so peaceful. Maybe because of it... other creatures sense it and leave you be.
