Project Overview
Same Time Tomorrow is a slow-burn psychological romance set in a seemingly normal high school environment based in the year 2016. As time goes on however, the environment they live in gradually reveals itself to be false.
The story follows a student who begins to notice small inconsistencies in his day-to-day life. As his awareness grows, he discovers that the world he's living in isn't real, and there may be a way to escape.
However, his growing relationship with a girl becomes a central conflict. They have been best friends since they were little. What begins as a simple friendship slowly becomes something much more, giving the MC a reason to question whether leaving is truly the right choice. She becomes the person who makes this false world feel real, offering him comfort in a reality that feels wrong.
Unknown to him, she has always been aware the world they live in is false. However, she is unable to reveal the truth to any person. Any attempt to explain what happened, exposure the nature of the world they live in, or guide someone toward escaping causes the day to reset; erasing all progress and returning everyone back to midnight.
Because of this, she is forced to hide the truth from the person closest to her. Her attempts to keep him from discovering the reality around them are not driven by selfishness, but by fear. She knows that if he finds a way out, she'll be left behind; trapped inside a world with things and people that slowly deteriorate.
As the MC gets closer to uncovering the reality of their world, their relationship becomes a growing conflict between the two desires: his need to find the escape, and her need to hold onto the only life and connect she has ever known.
