Project Overview
Siblings Mike and Marie King are fresh out of school, ready for summer. However, their plans change when they quickly discover that they might not be alone in the universe - or even in their very neighborhood. Join them as they set out to uncover one of Earth's most well-kept secrets.
Welcome to Project STELLAR!
You may remember us from way back when. It's been a long time coming, but our first episode is finally up, and will soon be followed by the next two. But that's not what we're here for. We're here for another set of auditions for the next part of our series! We have a very diverse set of characters planned out, so we encourage everyone to audition for anyone.
If you’re cast:
-This is an unpaid project. We’re doing this to have fun. Enjoy yourselves.
-Please have Skype! Rehearsals will be held over Skype.
-The rehearsal times are determined by you, the actors. When you see that you’ll have free time, we'll set up a time to work.
-Rehearsals will be recorded for your benefit, as well as for editing purposes. It lets me get a feel for the timing of the lines.
-There isn’t a deadline for rehearsals, only for getting your lines in.
Regarding Auditions:
-Audition for as many characters as you like. This is recommended so we can hear the extent of your vocal range/emotion.
-Please submit clean recordings. That means use noise removal.
-Multiple takes are welcome.
-All accents welcome.
-These are not the characters' real names.
-Please use your natural voice, at least for the first take. Don't play the "character", play the person. If you want to do something outside the box, that's fine, but let us hear you first. If auditioning for the older/elder characters, a touch of "age" is welcome in the voice.
-Please make sure that your microphone can handle loud sounds/effort noises. Yelling, grunting, etc.
-There is adult language used, but if you are cast and are uncomfortable with it, we will adjust accordingly.
-You will be considered for roles that you did not audition for.
You can drop your auditions here, or send them to [redacted]. Just put each audition in a separate mp3 or WAV file and label them as YourName_CharacterName.

UPDATE: Thank you to all who auditioned! We will be making our selections and sending out emails within the next week and a half, so please keep an eye out. Only those who are cast will receive an email. The cast list will be posted by June 12th.
If you are not cast, this is not the end. We will be holding auditions for new characters as the series progresses, and we encourage you to audition again when the time comes!

A sweet, puppy-faced teenage boy who is head-over-heels for his girlfriend, Divya. He is a very kind, easygoing person, and will give anyone a hug if they need it. He's never afraid to try new things, and is looking forward to graduation in the coming school year - one step closer to seeing the world!
I don't think I'm naive for saying that I love her. My age has nothing to do with it. Even if we weren't dating, I'd still love her. She was my best friend before she was my girlfiend. And even if we decided that we didn't fit this kind of relationship, I don't think we'd ever stop being friends. Ever.
Girls, c'mon, I just wanted to drink my smoothie in peace, watch some generated waves, not listen to you fight. Can't you do this another time? Another day? Please? Look, Div, there is nothing wrong with her height. Tori, she is not a reflection of her parents' wealth. Okay? So let's just chill - okay, no one's listening, that's cool.
Let me see what I can do, okay? I know a guy I used to run with - yeah, from those days. We weren't friends, but we looked out for each other. I'll give him a call, see if he can get us some info. But, uh. Don't tell Divya - no, I know you would never, but it's just that she has a habit of getting wind of anything I'm trying to do. Keeping things secret is really difficult. So...try, okay?
Hispanic. A bright, cheery, social kind of guy who likes to know everything about anything and everyone. He's a gamer and can sometimes be a little over-enthusiastic (read: hyperactive) in what he does, but he is fiercely loyal towards his friends. He just graduated high school and is preparing for his first semester at college as a physical therapy major. He is best friends with Tori, but if he had to pick a second friend he'd be stuck at the end of the world with, it would be Mike.
*Openmindedness required if cast.
I assumed you'd died a horrible death because you didn't answer my texts, but you're pretty alive right now, so I can yell at you without guilt: Dude, you didn't answer my texts!
Hey, she's is the only one who'll help me survive my first year at McDermott. I will kiss all the ass I need to if it keeps me alive - what do you mean, what about Tori? Apparently being best friends means leaving me to fend for myself for the "learning experience". She'll have her eyes glued to her computer, I just know it.
You didn't know? Rudi got busted. Apparently his parents found out he threw a party while they were gone. What's worse is they found out he was growing weed in the backyard! No police got involved, but I hear his parents destroyed the entire stash and grounded him to eternity. I always wondered how he was able to supply nearly every party he went to. There's a rumor going around that someone snitched on him to his parents.
Assorted roles; some are named. Age ranges from late 20s to 60s.
Another bear attack. I'm sorry, I'm going to have to ask you to go home...the kids over there are the only ones that managed to stick around. They said the bear chased the rest into the woods...you should go home. It's alright. We'll find him.
Oh, well, you and your brother are welcome to stop by any time; you know I always have a plate of kolaczkis on the table if you're interested. Or if you'd like lunch. You know, Aaron likes to gripe if it's not seasoned correctly, so I need a new pair of mouths to tell him that he's gone senile in his old age.
Yes, we just got back into town. It was a nice little trip; my sister just had her second child and...oh. No, I wasn't aware that he threw a party while we were away. Dear, did you tell him that he...that's what I thought. Well, thank you for letting me know.
Japanese-Hawaiian. A kind, sweet girl who tries to socialize to the best of her ability without drawing too much attention to herself. She's lonely, and the Kings might be able to help her out. A rising senior in high school, just like Mike - who may or may not have a huge crush on her.
Shut the door, please, I...I just have to wash the chlorine off. I, uh, can you grab my backup pair from my purse downstairs, the dark brown one with the tassels? It's in the closet by the front door. Actually, just grab everything, my purse, my shirt, my, my, um - I'm sorry, I just...help me, please.
No, no. I want to, I really do. You don't know what it's like, sitting with people like you all day and just being what I am. Half-and-half. Like a carton of coffee creamer. I don't belong to either side, I'm an entirely different category. I can't talk to anyone; there's no one like me in the vicinity.
You need to calm down right now. You're not doing yourself any favors by getting angry, and you're not doing him any favors either. Now, I said I'd go with you, and I'm going to stick with my decision - however suicidal it seems. If you think I'm not scared too, then you're crazy. So let's go before I lose my nerve completely and leave you to be eaten by the bear or...whatever it is.
An open, honest, somewhat rude-mouthed girl who doesn't take crap from anyone. Robust and tough, she's a bit on the short side, but anyone who tries to use that as an insult will probably get their ass kicked. She's a hardcore gamer and Jose's best friend; also Marie's roommate at college. She and Divya don't exactly see eye to eye.
You? Beat me? Oh, that's a good one, a really good one. C'mere, take a seat, pick up that controller, I dare you. Do you know what I do, missy? I do my studies, and then I sit in front of this TV and kick my best friend's ass. And sometimes he kicks mine, but that's not the point. The point is, you will not beat me. You cannot beat me. So sit down, shut up, and let's play.
José, does this look like the face of someone who cares? Does it? No, really, take a good look. Closer. Closer. Good. Right in the eye. You know me, right? You see anything in there - no? Well, I'm shocked, I thought for sure that I had something there. Now move over.
Guys, I don't think this is a very good idea. Seriously, it's late, it's dark, and this is a straight up horror movie scenario. It's like no one learns from those films. Hello? Guys? You know, the black guy always dies first - Mike, I'm looking at you. Marie, you're a viable candidate - no, I will not shut up! Can we go? I'd like to go. Is no one listening to me? Okay.

So anyway, I told my parents to clear out, so they took a trip out of town, and now I have the whole house to myself - wanna smoke? No? Your loss, man. It's from my personal store. Nothing better than homegrown, ya know?
Yeah, we know them. Mike works at the pool, but he sometimes hangs out at Marie's workplace, the Coco Calico Cafe. It's just on the corner of Rockbourn and Balmfield, the one with all the hormonal teenagers and zombie college students. Can't miss it.
Listen, would you apologize to her for me? I know he can be a jerk, but he's not like that all the time. Look, I'll have a talk with him, I promise. But go make sure she's feeling alright. I think she got hurt when she fell in. She wasn't looking too good.
Indian. A prim, bossy sort of girl who is dead set on becoming the new MD addition to her family, as soon as she graduates this hellhole that is high school. Although most people see her as an ice queen, she does have one soft spot: her boyfriend of four years, Luke. As far as she's concerned, their future is set.
No, dear, not that belt, it doesn't work with the dress. Trust me, this is not my first party. It might be Rudi's party, but even I know better than to show up to one of his looking like a rag doll. Now, take this, and this, and...this, and go try it on - just do it.
I've heard it all: she's just another rich kid riding on the coattails of her parents' money, oh, she's going to grow up and be a doctor, get even richer, she's only doing it for the money, her family only does it for the money. Do you expect me to defend myself after all these years? Lash out? Please. There is no new insult under the sun that could get to me...Tori is another matter entirely though.
No, actually. I think this is a stupid idea. A bad idea. Do you even know what you're getting into? From what the Kings have described about their earlier...encounters, it sounds pretty dangerous to me! This is our senior year, Luke. We have college to think about, our futures. We can't afford this distraction.
