Project: Splatoon 4
Project Overview
There is no doubt that Project Splatoon 3 was single-handedly one of the greatest things to happen in the Splatoon fandom! So, we wanted to do a Project Splatoon of our own.
At first, we ran into a few issues: how do we make music? Or how do we get vocals, when one of us can't sing? And what do we do about this awful-looking logo?
Eventually, I had the idea to come here and submit a project. So, now, we ask for your help! Together, I'm sure we can create a Project Splatoon that's just as popular as the last!
Some things to note:
-This project is unfortunately unpaid. We have not much money to spare at the moment, and in any case we don't all have much trust over sending our bank details to random people on the internet. Besides, this is mostly just a passion-project. So we ask that you audition out of the goodness of your hearts (and perhaps your need of a side activity out of boredom.)
-No information will be shared about the project before it is released, and you will not be allowed to share any info with anybody online, to prevent anybody stealing our ideas. Only people who are casted will have info shared with them. If you share info with anybody online, you may be kicked from the team. (You are allowed to share info with anybody irl, provided it isn't some random stranger on the street lol.)
-You will be completely credited, with all your role/roles being listed as well.
-You are allowed to sign up for more than one role! If you know how to come up with ideas AND sing, you can sign up for both! We just ask that you follow the guidelines for each role you're signing up for.
-Providing a Discord account or email is optional.
-Please include a portfolio of your work in any audition except for the Singer. This could be a Google Doc of a link to your work, or the most intricately designed portfolio if you want. We're not picky!
-This will NOT be made into any sort of game. We are simply doing this for fun, and as more of a proof-of-concept kinda thing.

We all know Splatoon fans mostly focus on the music, which is why songwriting will mostly be the heart and soul of the project! We need songwriters (we're not picky!) to help us write songs.
Some things to note:
-We will most likely have VA's all sorted out! Which means we will most likely* not need you to provide vocals for us.
*you may have to provide vocals, only if we don't get enough voice actors!
-You will be writing about 3 songs.
-We will be hiring multiple songwriters, so that we have different music styles!
-Most of the songs will be up to you, but we do have a few ideas for songs ourselves! (mostly the main theme, don't worry!)

Let's face it: the logo I made sucks. It looks pretty basic, and lacks that Splatoon feel. So, your job will be to draw a new one!

We have a basic idea of how our Story Mode should go, but we need you to help us fill in the blanks, and improve several aspects of it! We also need you to help us come up with ideas for the project in general, to help us make it unique!
Please note:
-You ARE NOT ALLOWED TO STEAL/COPY OTHER PEOPLE'S IDEAS for us. If we find out you plagiarized ANYTHING, you will be kicked from the project and removed from the credits (we will also not be using any of your ideas.)
-You must be willing to submit at least 1 idea.
-We are hiring multiple people, so don't worry about the competition! (if there even is any lol)

Splatoon songs just aren't the same without the voices that sound like they're being drowned in a lake! We need you to provide lyrics for the amazing songs our composers will be submitting!
Please note:
-You must be able to make your voice sound like the Splatoon voices! (e.g. warbly, wavy.) There are many free programs where you can do this, such as Audacity and Bandlab.
-You must be willing to sing 1-2* songs.
*We're only saying 1-2 because we're guessing that's pretty much how much how many songs will be submitted, max. If this project gets as popular as we're hoping, however, you will be singing about 3.
-You must have little to no background noise. You could go into an empty room, have a good mic, etc. I myself submitted my first VA audition (on a different website) in a closet on my phone.
-You must be able to sing random gibberish.
-You must be able to sing slightly fast.
-Any voice pitch and accent is able to audition! High, low, it doesn't matter to us!
Any Splatoon song! (you can sing with or without the music, we don't mind!)
My Splatoon art skills are much better than my logo-drawing skills, but more minds are better than one! We need you to help us create art for this project! Remember: art is one of the most important parts of this project!
Please note:
-You must be able to imitate the Splatoon artstyle.
-You may be assigned just one drawing, or several. That depends on how many people audition.
-Most artstyles can audition, as long as it's CLOSE to the official Splatoon artstyle!
-NO AI ART is allowed. There will be NO exception to this, and ALL work submitted must be your own.
