We are looking to cast more actors for Project Shuriken's Naruto Abridged, we are going into Season 2: The Chunin Exams and are looking to fill more spots in the cast.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be 18 years or older
Must have a high quality microphone. [This means no headsets, XLR is not required but is helpful]
No AI Voice Generation
RULES TO KEEP IN MIND!
-Do not go off script, it is distracting for when we go through the takes and it will show us you're not following/reading these instructions.
-You may audition for as many characters as you want.
-Put your best audio forward, we would prefer the file to be down to one take per line, you may submit multiple takes. We are not just judging your acting ability, the voices as well.
-No silly accents.
-Approach these characters like you’re seeing them for the first time.
(This does not mean we will discount direct impressions, we just want to see fresh takes, so have fun with it and experiment)
-We recommend listening to japanese and english voices for inspiration, but this is not ironclad either. Feel free to draw from what feels right to you personally. Experiment, you have time before the auditions are due.

What we’re looking for:
We want to hear a relatively low bass-like voice for Jiraiya. We’re interested in seeing your own interpretation of the character. Something boisterous and proud.
“Whatever you’ve heard about me, it was for research. I swear.” [avoiding an accusatory question]
“I’m a goddamn sage!” [proudly proclaiming]
“Summoning Jutsu!!!” [shouting]
What we’re looking for:
We are looking for a voice that can alternate between serious and silly. It does not have to resemble the Steve Blum voice, you are allowed to play with the tone and pitch. We are looking for something unique, put your own personal touch on it.
“Sasuke… Let the darkness take you.” [sinister tone]
“You’re paralyzed with fear.“ [sinister and loving it]
“Summoning Jutsu!!!” [shouting]
We want to hear a relatively normal voice, our interpretation won't steer too far into mean girls territory. We are looking for a higher pitched feminine voice. There will be times where a more emotional acting range will be needed.
"Hey cutie, looking good today." [Flirting at someone]
"Ugh! Fine I'll do it myself!" [Frustrated]
“Mind Transfer Jutsu!” [Shouting]
Give us your best evil girl voice.
“Can you hear the bells?” [Threatening with a gleeful demeanor]
“You're as good as dead.” [Confident in her victory]
"Ha! That won't work on me!" [Cocky and arrogant]
Kurenai needs to sound like a sweet and comforting parent.
Her tone is going to whiplash between gentle parent and angry mama bear.
"I'm very proud of you, all of you." [Kind and affirming]
"Kiba! Drop it! I said drop it!" [Reprimanding Kiba like a pet]
[Sigh] "This team is going to be a lot of work..." [Dejected and tired]
Anko ought to sound as reckless and loud as Naruto, but older.
We're looking for that signature rasp but in a female voice. Closest example being Revy from Black Lagoon.
“Alright you maggots! Let's take some legally mandated exams!” [shouting at a room of students with enthusiasm]
“Get in line newbies! You're going camping!” [Demeanor of a drill sergeant]
"You're going to die first newbie" [A blank faced threat/tease to a beginner ninja]
