Hello everyone! I'm looking for some voice actors. This will be auditions for a Pripara fan dub! This project is non-profit and purely for entertainment purposes. At the moment, I'll only be dubbing 1 episode (the first episode of the first season), so it'll be a short project. But, If I find some time and dig up some motivation, I'll see if I can dub another episode. I am mainly looking for feminine voices, preferably young sounding, as most of the characters are in elementary school.
Even if the characters are quite young, please only audition if you are 13 or above! If you are under the age of 13, please ask a parent or a guardian for their permission to participate. Being under the age of 13 can also lower your chances of getting casted. If you are younger than 13, remember, do not share any personal details, such as your age, name, etc. on the discord audition server.
What is Pripara? Here's a brief summary!
Pripara is an idol anime, with around 5 seasons in total. The main protagonist is Manaka Lala, who is in 5th grade. She's seen idols perform on television, but has never thought of becoming an idol herself. The deuteragonist of the series is Mirei Minami. She is the head disciplinarian at Paprika private academy, the school the characters attend. The tritagonist is Sophie Hojo. She is in seventh grade (in the first season). I accidentally stated "ninth grade" in the video, apologies for that :'D Sophie is a very popular idol, and everything she does is deemed as cool, even if it's fainting on stage. Those are the main characters of season one! If you wish to learn more about Pripara, watching around 3 episodes will be enough to give you an idea of the anime.
Here are the voice acting requirements--
1. try to minimalize any background noise in your audio file. audio quality will affect your chance of getting casted!
2. live auditions are accomplishable! this is only available in the discord server, so if you wish to audition live, please join the server! you can audition live and also send an audio/video file in as well, in fact i highly recommend doing so, since i don't have great memory.
3. if you aren't comfortable with other people hearing your voice, you can dm me your audition!
4. remember to be respectful! please don't judge anyone for their audition.
5. have fun! voice acting is important, but it's also important to enjoy want you're doing!
If you get casted, I ask of you to submit your lines on time. If you are busy, we can negotiate and work out an extension. But if possible, please always submit your lines on time!

Lala Manaka (真ま中なからぁら) is the main protagonist of the series and a 5th grader at Paprika Private Academy. She is a lovely-type idol and her preferred brand is Twinkle Ribbon. Her catchphrase is 'Kashikoma!'(かしこまっ!) (in English, 'Capisce!'). She should have a high-pitched voice. Keep in mind that Lala is only 10-11 in the first episode. Therefore, she should sound slightly child-like.
(energetic) "Good morning, Nao!"
(happy) "Kashikoma!" (you can say "kashikoma" or "capisce", but both is preferred)
(loud) "Um, does this belong to anyone here? Mirei the idol! Mirei, you dropped your bag!"
Mirei Minami (南みれぃ) is the deuteragonist of the series. She is an 6th grader at Paprika Private Academy. She is a pop type idol, with her preferred brand being Candy Alamode. Her catchphrase is "Pop, Step, Get You!" (ポップ・ステップ・ゲッチュー！ Poppu Suteppu Getchū!) and tends to end her sentences with '~pri'. She is also the head disciplinarian at Paprika Private Academy. Mirei has two voices. She is often more serious at school, as she is the head disciplinarian. But at Pripara, she has a bubbly personality and her voice will sound somewhat higher than her voice outside of Pripara. in general, her voice doesn't sound too different. She just has a brighter and happier personality whenever she's in Pripara.
(serious) "Rule 3243 of the Paprika Private Academy: do not run in the hallways."
(angry, frustrated) "What have you done-pri? Not being able to perform for my audition is the worst-pri!"
(happy) "I'm Mirei! 'Pop, step and getchu!'"
Kuma (Birthname: Klaus Henrik Poncetta Von Vogel Strobel Cash De La Manecca the Third) is a mascot character in PriPara. He manages Mirei's, Sophie's and Laala's PriPara team - SoLaMi♡SMILE. he also tends to end his sentences with 'kuma'. he has a deep voice, although it doesn't sound completely masculine. almost like someone with a deep voice trying to speak with a higher pitch. he's similar to a comedy relief character.
(relaxed) "There, there. Just leave this to... (change to a higher pitch) me, the number one scout in all of Pripara town kuma."
(angry) "Got it-kuma! And stop with the 'pri pri' nonsense kuma!"
(mocking) "Got it kuma. (slightly happy, motivated) Whatever, with my number one manager's gorgeous and mildly wild charm... hey you, young lady over there, how about a little performance? (deeper pitch) Eh? You're too nervous to respond to someone so handsome? (back to higher pitch) Ah, how about you, lovely young lady? Or you, charm-- (he get's whacked in the face with a bag, so this is where the line cuts off)
Gloria Ookanda (大神田グロリア) is the headmistress of Paprika Private Academy and the first antagonist of the first half of season 1. She has an eccentric personality.
(strict, serious) "We will now perform a Priticket inspection. Pripara is strictly forbidden for our elementary schoolers. And so to prevent illict Pripara activity, I, your principal Ookanda Gloria, will see to the confiscation, the unerring confiscation of any and all Pritickets!"
(searching) "You all positively reek of Pritickets! (lowers voice) Reek, I say."
(loud) "You there!" (happy, somewhat evil) "Taste my custom-made vacuum! You have pritickets, don't you?"
Meganee Akai (赤井めが姉ぇ) is one of the supporting characters in PriPara and a staff member at Prism Stone. There is more than one of her active in PriPara. She has a calm voice, although it sounds slightly monotone. she should sound somewhat supportive, as she is an assistant.
(happy, welcoming) "Welcome to Prism Stone!"
(thinking) "Oh? oh, Mirei entered Prism Paradise from the gate a while ago."
(explaining) "That will handle your registration to the world of Pripara."
Himeka Manaka (真中 ひめか) is the mother of Lala and Non Manaka (Lala's sister) and the wife of Mr. Manaka. She currently works as a chef at the Manaka family restaurant, Papa's Pasta. she sounds quite calm despite the fact that she has a loud voice. hmm, let me rephrase that- 'when she isn't shouting, she sounds quite calm.' she should also sound like a mother. this is because she is one.
(scolding) "Lala! Quit making a ruckus right after waking up and eat your breakfast!"
(angry) "Who are you calling loud?"
(calm) "Not that I know of. Here's the focaccia." (remembering, realizing) "Oh one other thing! We're out of tomatoes, could you get some quickly?"
Mr. Manaka is Laala & Non's (Lala's sister) father and husband to Mrs. Manaka. He is the owner of Papa's Pasta. Lala's father seems to be friendly, calm and hardworking. He only seems to be calm when eating at the table with his family; however when cooking, Lala's father becomes quite cheerful and talkative, although he only talks to himself. He also likes to mix his speech with words relating to Italian food (eg. Ariga Tortilla).

-- in the subtitles, he says "welcome hominestrone". minestrone is actually a thick soup of Italian origin made with vegetables, often with the addition of pasta or rice, sometimes both. Common ingredients include beans, onions, celery, carrots, stock, croutons, and tomatoes. did i get the information off of wikipedea? yes :) if you're planning on auditioning, you can say both "welcome home" and "welcome hominestrone" if you'd like.
(happy, sing-song voice) "Welcome home!"
