Project Overview
During the summer festival five years ago, two girls met at a mysterious tree and saw two glowing spheres. Now, these two girls, Sarah Bloomfield, ace pitcher on the school softball team; and May Eagleton, who prefers sketching over stargazing--are chosen by the spirits of flowers (Flappy) and birds (Choppy) to restore the Seven Fountains and save their worlds from Dark Fall. Together, they are Pretty Cure.

Sarah is the athletic heroine of the series and is a member of the school's softball team. Much like Natalie Blackstone, she is a cheerful sporty girl who loves sweets and hates studying, but has a bright and easygoing personality. Her alter ego is Cure Bloom and later Cure Bright, with powers representing the earth.

May is a transfer student in Sarah's class. She is a quiet artist who loves drawing and has awareness of the surroundings. Her alter ego is Cure Egret and later Cure Windy, with powers representing the sky.

Once a denizen of Dark Fall, Kendall is always together with Minerva, who guards the Fountain of Sky.
In an attempt to steal the Pretty Cure's spotlight, she attends Yellowfields Middle School with her friend in an attempt to drive Sarah and May's attention. The two eventually team up to help the Pretty Cure in taking down Dark Fall.
