PortalTale (An Undertale AU project)
Project Overview
Me and my friends are working on a concept called PortalTale.
It is unlike other PortalTale's you may have heard of.

We might do a fandub of the actual game, if we get an artist we might make a comic, and last but not least, if we feel creative enough, we might just make a multi-chapter story on Ao3 or Fanfiction.Net.

Sans is the Atlas of the project! Instead of doing "puzzles" with his brother, he'd rather just take a million naps. He eventually starts working with him, and stops being a lazybones... But later, Sans starts to realize the kind of guy Error is..... Because of this, he gets more and more motivated to complete the test chambers, as he wants both him AND his brother to get out of the facility as SOON as POSSIBLE, before something bad happens...
Beats me, bro. Honestly, I'm more concerned about how much work i'll have to do.

Listen, Papyrus, I feel like somethin's wrong. This guy that is guiding us, seems like he's practically trying t' kill us. You sure he's a good person?
Undyne has a spitfire personality, and is very impatient. She will sometimes go into a rage. Explains why she fights everything in sight. In this project, she will appear as a voice on a loud speaker later in the game, along with a similar character who may be not what they seem.

Froggits are the turrets. They will try and attack US! Pap/Carrot, and Blue (If he is with him). Not really anymore information on this. It's pretty simple.

Unlike in Portal, our test subject, US Papyrus/Carrot, can speak. I didn't really like the idea of him being a mute. This character will also have a major role, just like Blue and Error. he is mostly confused about where they are, and what is happening, but when he learns what is happening there, he feels almost nothing but annoyance....And a little anger.
Hot..Water?......Bro, what are you even talking about?
..Wait....Brain damage?.....We don't have brains...You could've just said i have a bit of amnesia...

This character will keep talking about space, and will never shut up about it. He will appear later in the project, and is always excited. Need i explain more?

Gaster is the Fact Sphere, and almost all of the facts he says are false. The others know this, yet OT!Papyrus is too focused on space to even listen to Gaster at all. He appears later in the project.
He will most likely kill you. Violently. This is a bad plan. You will fail.

Alphys is the Oracle Turret/Defective Turret of the project! She will try helping along the way, as she had previously worked as a scientist in the facility before Error went insane. However, now she is (basically) a mechanical version of what she used to be. She still wants to help US Pap get out of the facility, and provides information for him.But this is all later, when Blue is taken away from talking to US Pap.

Mob! Sans appears later in the project. He has a sort of chill personality, and he is pretty lazy for him being the Adventure Core. He knows Outertale! Papyrus, and Gaster, and hates both of them..well...not completely..

Storyshift! Chara is a escaped test subject, meaning they found their way to the old tests, and stayed there. They never really need any food. Besides, they have lived without it. When they find US Pap/Carrot in the place where the old tests were, they will try to help. Afterall. They know all the tests like the back of their hand. (I know the creator of Storyshift has confirmed that Storyshift! Chara is male, but i am going to make it female for this project, because there isn't nearly enough female roles)

Ya know...It's kinda funny how your brother went insane. Doesn't seem like him at all. hm? How do i know his personality? Not important.
..... So......... That broken voice recorder is Error? The guy who went insane and killed all those scientists, is now a voice recorder? *small laugh/chuckle* That's hilarious...
P-body is known as THE GREAT PAPYRUS in this project! He (tries) to solve puzzles with his brother, Sans, In the hopes that they will reach the end! Of course, Papyrus has a neverending excitment, and it doesn't help that he is solving puzzles! Even though they are actually test chambers....He still sees them as puzzles....If we get a artist, we might ask to make side comics of Papyrus and Sans doing test chambers.But that is IF we get an artist. If we don't. there will be extra chapters in the story, which will be labeled as such.
Where's the human, Sans? And why is everything so high tech?
So..... I just use this device....changing these gateways with these buttons...to solve puzzles?...AMAZING! THE GREAT PAPYRUS APPROVES!
SANS! STOP SLACKING OFF, AND HELP ME SOLVE THIS PUZZLE! I CAN'T DO THIS BY MYSELF!
Error in this project is as glitchy as always, with a hint of passive agressiveness. They will constantly lie to the test subject, and make the test chambers harder and harder to pass. They call US Pap (The test subject) a "Filthy Glitch" throughout the test chambers, and will stop at nothing to prove that Blue is a idiot, moron, or, in Errors words, "A worthless part of the Multiverse."

Well done! Here come the test results.. "You are a horrible person...." That's what it says.... I wasn't even testing you for THAT........

Blue will play a major role in this project, as Wheatley in the game is a main character. He is upbeat, energetic, and there for his brother. However, when Blue replaces Error, Blue goes heywire/insane, and disregards that his own brother is the test subject. He will try killing his brother in various ways later in the project, as he will become corrupt.
Most test subjects do experience some.. cognitive deterioration..after a few months in suspension... Now...Brother.... you've been under....for...QUIITE a bit longer...And it's not out of the question that you might have a VERRRYYY minor case.. Of serious brain damage..
Okay.. Papyrus... My brother...look.. I wasn't gonna mention this to you, but , uh, i am in some pretty hot water here...
