Project Overview

⚠️ Poppy's Sanctuary is PG-13 for scary sequences, mild language, violence and some pretty sensitive topics. Proceed with caution if you plan to audition! ⚠️

After escaping from an abusive relationship from his future consort, young Felis Moonclaw meets the Smiling Critters, who happily accept him into their circle of friends, even going under the alias 'Catnap' because of his ability to put people to sleep with his special red smoke.

During a nighttime conversation he has with the leader of the Smiling Critters, Apollo Dawninghound (Dogday), Felis lets it slip that he wants to build a Sanctuary for people who have struggled with different forms of abuse, mainly for children who have faced the indignant wrath of society at many intervals.

But with the Sanctuary comes many different challenges for the Critters: A group of abusive parents trying to get their kids back, old faces from Felis' past and even a shady organization looking to tarnish the reputation of the Sanctuary itself.

However, knowing he has his friends by his side, Felis is determined to see things through and come out the other end victorious. But only time will tell how long he can remain positive under the pressure and tell himself that everything will be fine...

    Everyone did such an amazing job and I have never asked for a better crew than them! Absolutely grateful for them and their involvement in this project! Even still, more openings for the project will come soon, I'll be sure to leave updates!~

    All the art was done by me, including the title animation you see at the beginning of this video, which took less than an hour. XD But it was still worth it.

    And also don't close out the video towards the end, it teases at another project, an audio drama that will be in production soon, so keep your eyes peeled for a teaser trailer~ :3

  • Role Updates

    I will be making my decision on some of the characters soon~ On the 13th, some roles will be announced, but no need to worry!

    **There will be more opportunities before the deadline, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for updates! I might add on roles for artists and editors if need be!

    So far, all the submissions have been wonderful in their own way and we still need auditions for Paisley and Calysta, just a heads-up.

  • DEADLINE EXTENSION: September 30th

    I've been seeing a lot of great auditions thus far, but I've been thinking of extending the deadline so that I can get more people on board with auditioning so....maybe....end of September, I'll give y'all time~ Hope this is acceptable~

The determined leader of the Smiling Critters and the Watchdog of the Sanctuary. If he ever sees anyone without a smile, he does whatever he can to give them one. Despite having a rough childhood, and dealing with Dane's (childhood bully) antics, Apollo’s fiery perseverance remains, and is expressed when confronted. Underneath that fiery exterior, Apollo is known to be gentle and give support when needed in the worst of times; not just to his friends, but to the Cosmiteers and the children that reside within the walls of the Sanctuary.

But don't let her sweet demeanor lead you astray; for underneath that caring facade is a protective mama bear that aims to protect the children that have been hurt and wronged in their previous lives. When not in defense mode, she is a maternal figure, enriching her loved ones with the affection that need and want it, if they decide on it.

Grown up from her southern roots, Paisley is the definition of an expert when it comes to all sorts of different foods, making her an honorary foodie amongst her friends. A genuine sweetheart with a big appetite and amazing work ethic, the Farmhand cares for the well-being of her friends and even the children, trying to ensure that they get the proper nutrients to tackle each day.

The radical dude of the Smiling Critters and the Wild Card of the Sanctuary. Known to pull off all sorts of crazy tricks and even pranking people, Talon is the very definition of unexpected. Because of his reputation, trouble certainly is one of his closest friends, even if some of what he does isn't his fault or was harmless. Aside from being a prankster, he does whatever he can to help his friends when they need him the most, that is, if he doesn't prank them first.
