Virizion is a very popular Pokémon among the Post Town inhabitants, even though she has turned them all down at some point. The Mukmai first meets her after rescuing Dunsparce. Dunsparce had gotten lost looking for a crystal to give to Virizion as a gift, because he wanted to be her friend. Virizion turns him down, saying she doesn't have friends. This hurts Dunsparce's feelings, causing him to run away. After rescuing Dunsparce again, she asks to join the team. The Mukmai's Snivy immediately accepts, much to Emolga's chagrin. Virizion proves to be a calm and collected addition to the team, rarely outwardly expressing her emotions, but she changes as more and more is revealed about her past with her last friend, Keldeo. She later admits that she likes Emolga.

A friend of Virizion, and a Magnagate savant. He was imprisoned in Glacier Palace, and there he wrote a letter to Virizion telling her that they weren't friends anymore. This letter caused Virizion to stop believing in friends. After being rescued by Umbreon and Espeon, he apologizes to Virizion for writing the letter. He joins the Mukmai's team after the Mukmai Pokémon returns to the human world.

The protector of the Bittercold. Kyurem forsaw the world's destruction and sees it as his duty to protect that future. He actively uses force to stop the Mukmai from destroying the Bittercold, but when defeated later on, he comes to face that, maybe, the determination of the Mukmai is enough to change the future.

A former carpenter, became a con artist with his Mukmai Scraggy after he was injured. He initially conned the Mukmai Pokémon and their Snivy, but is defeated in battle when found out. The Timburr Brothers attempt to convince him to return to carpentry, but he refuses. It is only after the Mukmai Pokémon and his Snivy persist at getting Gurdurr to build their house for them when he finally is convinced to return to carpentry. He builds facilities and prepares land for use in Paradise, though he can later do other things such as upgrade and repaint facilities.

A criminal from the west, and Gurdurr's former partner. After the player, their partner, and the Timburr Brothers defeat him (and some force by Quagsire, who Scraggy is very afraid of), he opens a shop in Paradise where he acts as the Move Reminder and Move Deleter for the game. He spends most of the game making snarky remarks to other Pokémon, specifically the player Pokémon and their partner, but eventually apologizes after the player Pokémon and their partner defeat the Bittercold and save the world.

He sells the land that will become Pokémon Paradise to the Snivy Pokémon. He later helps the Mukmai and partner build their house, and then opens a shop in Paradise, where the Mukmai can rearrange their team members, and also buy items. He is the one to reward the player after outlaw missions.

Quagsire is first encountered when the Mukmai's partner takes them to him to help the Snivy buy a deserted plot of land from him. From there, he helps the Mukmai and the Snivy build their Paradise in various ways. He opens up a facility called, "Quagsire Assembly," near the entrance to Pokémon Paradise. which allows the Mukmai to organize their team, delete recruited Pokémon, buy cheap items, and change the team leader during the aftergame. He also sets up a Request Board where the player can take requests, help Pokémon, and gain materials.

Quagsire appears in Café Connection sometimes, saying, "I can't let evildoers slide, hmm? So I punish them thoroughly. Mm-hmm." He is connected with a Vaporeon.

Runs the Request Counter, where job requests can be accepted and canceled.

Azumarill's service is job requests. Handing him a job request will cause him to open the request gate and allow you to go on the mission. He may also tell you about certain objectives that need to be fulfilled to go to a dungeon. By speaking to him after accepting a job request, you are given the option to have Azumarill cancel the job.

If playing Companion (Multiplayer) Mode however, Azumarill will wait for all Mukmai to accept the mission.

Swanna (Japanese: スワンナ Swanna) is a character in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity. She owns and manages the inn at Post Town. She allows Umbreon and Espeon to stay at the inn as long as they pay their bills. She is often referred to as the 'signora'. She seems to be the unofficial leader of Post Town.

They offer to make him stronger in a simple way. One of the brothers then suspiciously adds, "You do have Poké, right?" to which Dunsparce replies "Yes," and follows the brothers to Desolate Canyon. Later, Quagsire tells the Mukmai, Snivy and Emolga that he saw Dunsparce talking to a couple of suspicious Pokémon before all three headed to Desolate Canyon. The Mukmai and their Snivy decide to go to save Dunsparce, with Emolga tagging along.

Meanwhile at Desolate Canyon, Dunsparce suspects there is something wrong, and the brothers reveal that there is no quick, simple way to get strong, and tell Dunsparce to hand everything over. Dunsparce tries to run, but the Pawniard Brothers surround him with their gang, which consists of 2 Galvantula and 2 Venipede. Suddenly, the Mukmai, Snivy and Emolga appear, who even the odds slightly, but the player is still outnumbered. Then all of a sudden, Virizion comes with Gurdurr and the two Timburr and now it is the Pawniard's gang that is outnumbered. After being defeated, they flee, never to be seen again.

Galvantula's body consists of a head and abdomen. Its head is yellow on top and light purple on the bottom. It has two large, blue, forward-facing eyes with black pupils, and four, smaller, simple eyes sitting in a 2x2 pattern on its forehead. It has two long pedipalps connected from the underside of its head, which are blue and hairless on their lower half and covered in thick yellow fur on the upper half. Galvantula's body is covered in yellow and light purple fur on top with blue fur under its abdomen. Four tufts of hair sprout from under its abdomen and grow upward. Two large tufts sprout from the left and right of the rear, while two smaller ones sprout from each side. The fur on its back is light purple and with three thick, yellow stripes running up from its rear. Despite being based on a spider, Galvantula has only four legs. Each leg is connected to the head by a blue upper half. The lower half is covered in yellow fur and forms a bell-shape over its blue, conical feet.

Galvantula, and its pre-evolution Joltik, are the only Pokémon that can learn Electroweb by leveling up. Galvantula in particular likes to use electrically charged silk to ensnare prey. The electricity stuns the victim, allowing Galvantula to consume the target at its leisure. Its pedipalps are very strong, allowing Galvantula to hold down unruly prey. It also uses electric webs to defend itself from threats. As seen in the anime, Galvantula is not particularly aggressive unless provoked. If bothered, it may attack in groups. It has been shown to be extremely caring and protective of its pre-evolution, Joltik, and will aggressively find ways to help it.

Venipede is an insectoid Pokémon with a pronounced hump on the upper portion of its body. Its thorax and head are mainly magenta with black markings that consist of rings on its shoulders, a band around each antenna, and an upside-down 'Y' on its neck. A prominent ridge leading down to a pointed tip splits the top half of its head, and its lower jaw is black. It has round, heavy-lidded eyes that bulge away from the head slightly. Venipede’s dark green abdomen is segmented, and it has four pairs of stubby black legs. Two short feelers banded with black extend from its hindquarters, which it uses in addition to its antennae to explore its surroundings and detect prey by sensing air vibrations. Venipede is brutally aggressive, and its bite injects a poison strong enough to paralyze large bird Pokémon.

After building the shop and changing the Paradise's theme, it will ask to join the Mukmai's team. Meloetta has two alter egos depending on its forme.

Patrat is a rodent-like Pokémon that resembles a chipmunk. It is mostly brown with a tan stomach and face. It has a large pointed tooth that sticks out of its mouth. Patrat has a flat face, and its cheeks are very round. Patrat has cheek pouches that it uses to store food. Its ears are small and pointed. Its head has a black band that covers the eyes, which have red irises with a yellow ring and black pupils. Its feet are small and black with three toes. Its long tail has scruffy white tip, and is usually standing up straight. This tail is used for communication; its tail is raised when it sees an enemy. Patrat is very conscious and wary regarding its surroundings and is always on guard. The anime shows Patrat living in tunnels.

Ducklett is light-blue, duckling-like Pokémon. It has two feathery tufts on its head that connect at the bottom, forming a V-shape. It has a darker blue, feathery underside which makes it appear as if it were in mid-moult. It has yellow, webbed feet and a small tail. Ducklett lives around ponds and rivers. It is a talented diver and can spray water from its feathers for self-defense. The foe is distracted by the spray, allowing Ducklett to escape.

Rufflet is a small avian Pokémon with a blue body. A large white plume of feathers covers its head and three tail feathers extend from its lower back. The feathery ruff extends down past its neck, covering the upper third of its body. Its face is blue with five pointed tips, resembling a mask and crown in contrast to the white feathers surrounding it. Extending from its forehead is a large feather, which is red on the lower half and white on the upper half. The split between the two colors on the feather resembles a zigzag pattern. Rufflet's beak is short and wide, with large eyes on either side. Each eye has a thick black iris with a small white pupil. Its yellow legs and feet are large in comparison to the body. Each foot has four digits: one backwards, and three forwards.

The thick, black talons on its feet are strong enough to break even the hardest of berries, and crack Shellder to consume their insides. Rufflet is extremely aggressive from birth and knowingly provokes opponents larger and more powerful than itself, including its own parent to gain acceptance. It sees this as a means of quickly getting stronger.

Roggenrola is a roughly spherical Pokémon discovered a century ago in an earthquake fissure. Its body is blue and covered in large, smooth facets. It has a hexagonal, yellow artifice in the center of its body, leading to a hexagonal opening that functions as an ear. Roggenrola has a brown, rocky oblong atop its head, and similar brown rocks that serve as feet. Its body houses an energy core; due to compression underground, both this core and Roggenrola's body are as hard as steel.

Roggenrola is born deep underground, and compares its hard body with that of Geodude and Carbink. As stated by Cilan in Where Did You Go, Audino?, Roggenrola has sensitive hearing and can hear sounds that are inaudible to humans. It tends to follow the sounds it picks up with its lone ear, panicking if these sounds cease.

Excadrill has a dark brown body with diagonal, red splotches. Three markings are on its front, with two under each arm, and two on its back. It has short legs with small, narrow feet, each containing three toes. Its small white face is long and thin, tipped by its pink nose. Its eyes are set back, on either side of the bridge of the nose. Under them, on each side, are two thin, red stripes. A large blade roughly twice as large as its face extends from its forehead. The top of the blade contains two smaller blades, resembling fins. Its arms are thick and have three large blades instead of fingers, with two smaller blades on top of the middle ones. On its knees, halfway down its arm, and just behind where its forehead meets its face, are small red spots.

Excadrill can straighten its entire body, allowing it to spin like a drill. It has the ability to cut through iron and steel plating. It uses its excellent digging abilities to build complex tunnels for its nest at more than 300 feet (100 meters) below the surface. Its tunneling can be both beneficial and harmful to humans, as it can help workers with its swift digging prowess, but it can be detrimental to underground structures, such as Subway tunnels.

Chandelure is a Pokémon that resembles a sentient chandelier. It has a striped, round head, and round, pupil-less yellow eyes. There is a ring of small, black spikes on top of its head with a tall, purple flame in the middle. From a black spike below its head, black arms curl upward. These arms are tipped with purple fire. Chandelure's fires do not burn its victims physically, instead burning their spirit. After hypnotizing its opponent by waving these flames, it absorbs the victim's spirit.

Salamence is a quadruped, draconic Pokémon with a long, tapering tail. It is primarily blue with a gray lower jaw and thickly scaled underside. There are red markings on its throat, the underside of its tail, and stripes on the inner surface of its legs. Additionally, there are raised red ridges above its eyes. Three flat fins protrude from either side of its head, possibly acting in the same manner that a Canard would on an aircraft. It has two pairs of pointed teeth, one in the upper jaw and one in the lower. Each of its short legs has three claws. This Pokémon’s powerful desire to fly triggered a mutation that allowed it to grow large, red wings. As an expression of joy, it flies around and releases blasts of fire. If enraged, it loses all sense of self and flies into an uncontrollable rampage, destroying everything around it until it tires itself out. This Pokémon is found living in rough terrain.

As Mega Salamence, its wings meld together into a single huge, crescent-shaped wing. According to the anime, the hard, yet very flexible properties of its wings allow them to be used as blades in mid-air battles. Its face, neck, body and tail are narrower, and its tail is noticeably shorter in length. The ridges above its eyes are now far less prominent, and it no longer possesses the thick, gray scaling over its lower jaw. Instead, the smooth red flesh underneath has been left exposed, increasing its streamline appearance. The upper pair of fins resting on the sides of its head are now elongated and tapered. The lower pair has not changed much. However, the middle set now take the form of quarter-arches, spanning towards the bridge of the nose. The remnants of its shelled underbelly have been drastically transformed into a segmented, more aerodynamic, vest-like armored frame. This frame encases its chest and shoulders with the pieces interlocking whenever Mega Salamence tucks in its front forelegs.

The stress of Salamence's vaunted wings becoming misshapen in its Mega Evolution aggravates it to the point of rampaging. This fuels its already brutal nature and makes it likely to turn against the Trainer who raised it. Because of this, Mega Salamence is feared as "the blood-soaked crescent". Anything and anyone in Salamence's path gets sliced in two by its bladelike wings, posing no interruption to its flight.

Gigalith is a blue quadruped Pokémon, with various spiny, crystal-like red features jutting out of its body. Its limbs have gray joints and are topped with red crystalline features, with the two claws on each limb being similar features. It has a red eye inside each ear. Several of the crystalline features are present on its face; three below its eyes, one in the middle resembling a crest, and other crystals to the sides of its head.

It compresses energy in the core inside its body that is enough to blow away mountains. It can also store sunlight in its orange crystals and shoot powerful energy from its mouth, though it loses this ability at night or during rain. It lives in caves and tunnels deep underground. Gigalith is a popular partner for construction workers.

Crustle is an orange Pokémon resembling an insect or crustacean. Its most distinguishing feature is its enormous shell, which resembles a cut-away block of sediment with multiple layers and strata visible. The tips of its pincers and six feet are dark gray. It has two glaring yellow eyes. Crustle possesses a straight tail that is concealed underneath its shell. It is very strong, to the point that it can carry heavy rocks for a long time, even through arid lands where it resides. It fights members of its species over territory in battles which can become very vicious. If its shell breaks during such a fight, it loses. When Crustle's shell breaks, it will become.

Dwebble is a small, orange hermit crab-like Pokémon with large pincers. It has dark, oval-shaped eyes supported by eye stalks. It has a hook-like tail that is concealed underneath the sectioned chunk of gray rock it uses as a shell. This tail is possibly used to keep the rock in place or to carve itself a new home should its old rock get lost. When finding a rock to use as its shell, Dwebble inspects the rock to see if it can be used, then it digs a hole in the rock's bottom. It can expel a corrosive spray from its mouth to dissolve or mend rocks. This spray can ease carving. If the rock breaks, it won't calm down until it can find another rock to replace.
