Pokémon: 7th Generation | An Audio Drama (Episode 1 Casting)

Project Overview

Welcome to the Alola region!

First of all, let's give you a basic description of this show.

Pokémon: 7th Generation is a fan made audio drama where you follow our main character, Kai Allen, as he embarks on a new adventure after moving from his home in Kalos to the Alola region. What will he find? What kind of Pokémon will he meet? Will he become the Alola region champion? Find out in 7th Generation!

You can find our tailer episode on youtube and spotify, as well as the social accounts if you follow this link here: https://linktr.ee/7thgenerationaudiodrama

Now, on to the topic at hand, a casting call for Episode 1!

Before you audition, please note that this casting call is for characters that are being ADDED into the show, not the main cast, as we already have the main cast.

I also may add in extra roles, that part I know is a maybe/unconfirmed, so keep an eye out for my updates!

And please note that people will be auditioning outside of this project in case they don't have an account for this website, so i'll be posting updates about that too.

It will be greatly appreciated if you could have discord as a main contact!

There will be roles listed as "UNCONFIRMED" and that is purely just because I haven't found a good place for them to be introduced into the episode yet, so I have put notes on them saying if they do or don't have high chances of being added, which you'll find most of the time is they do.

Please support us by auditioning for as many roles as you can that are listed here, i will be making regular update posts here to update the progress on the show and casting decisions.

If you have any questions, comment on this project, or add me on discord to flick me a DM: itsnovafr

That's all from me! Good luck everyone!

Team Static! The name of the evil team of pokémon thieves in this storyline. They formed a couple years after Team Skull's disbandment, and they always try to become better than them.

One grunt will be the intro grunt. They'll appear in the intro scene, so they'll probably only have one or two lines.

The other two grunts will be in the first scene and maybe more. I haven't written them to be in any more scenes yet, but they may appear again later on in the episode, or even in the show.

Both genders are fine for this role! Have fun with this one, since they are trying to be better than Team Skull, try and base your voice like them!

  • Hey boss, there’s a transfer boat heading towards here, we think it's arriving from Kalos

  • Hey! What the hell is that? I ain't seen that Pokémon anywhere around here!

  • You're pretty annoying for a kid with just an Eevee.. Bring it on! I won't lose!

Old man Hala! The Kahuna of MeleMele Island, and a fighting type specialist!

I plan to have him somewhere between the mid to late section of the episode, but he will be in there, he may even appear earlier than I expect, but do try your best!

He's pretty much your average wise old martial artist i suppose, so try go ahead with that. If you need a reference, check out his voice from the anime :)

Okay, so in this show, all of the Pokémon (except the ones that just make non man made noises) will be voice acted!

In the trailer episode of the show, we have Professor Kukui's partner, Rockruff, completely voiced by one of our incredible cast members, so I wish to do the same!

Now, for this audition, feel free to do whatever Pokémon you like, but I will supply the partner Pokémon that will be featured if it makes it easier. If possible, try to copy the cries they make in the anime, if not, improvise!

1. Honedge -> Doublade -> Aegislash

2. Stufful -> Bewear

3. Gothita -> Gothorita -> Gothitelle

4. Noibat -> Noivern

That's all the confirmed partners for now, but feel free to improvise!

[Note: even if you see someone get casted for this role, audition anyway if it's still open, cause we'll need lots of talent for this!]

There's a reason this role is listed seperetly than the "Pokémon Voice Actors" role, and that because I wanted to hear auditions for him specifically, so try your best!

Tapu Koko is the guardian pokémon of Melemele island. He's an Electric/Fairy type and he basically looks over the island as it's guardian (it's in the name).

Oh, he also pretty much makes energetic caw-caw sounds, but its better when you hear it.

Role assigned to: Sakami

Lillie is a special one. She's very shy and in the original anime, had trouble interacting with Pokémon, including physical touch. Until of course she came across an egg that later on had hatched into an Alolan Vulpix! I plan to continue her anime story but also somewhat mix it in with her story from the games. But she won't be interacting with Nebby (or known officially as Cosmog), since im changing up the story for my show

Basically, go for a timid girl who is somewhat shy when it comes to pokémon but loves her partner Vulpix, and is also interested in pokémon battles!

  • I... I think I'm starting to understand. That I... I can't just run away forever.

  • I've always loved books, and I've read all about Pokémon.

  • You have to stop mother! Think about all the poor pokémon getting hurt because of how reckless you are being!

BEFORE YOU READ:

[This is another character that isn't confirmed, though there is a high chance he will be appearing. I just haven't got an idea on where to write him in just yet.. but he will most likely be there!]

Ilima (pronouned ILL-EE-MAH) is the Captain of the very first trial in Alola & Melemele, and is a Normal type specialist!

Ilima is basically the dude that will teach you the basics of how trails work, because Alola is different in the sense of how there is no gyms and instead trials & grand trials. I really don't know what else to say about him, he appears at the start and pops up randomly every now and then XD

Ilima is a bit of a wild card, so improvise with his voice! Though you can use the anime as a reference if need be.

  • Greetings! Captain Ilima here. I look forward to seeing the brilliance of your moves!

  • Very well then, off on your island challenge you go! May the future bring you happiness!

So basically I have no special request for this. Just that I would like a female voice to have a couple lines in one of the first scenes in the episode. Just pretty much guiding around and introducing our main character to the island. Use your own voice if you like!

Voice description:
  • female adult

  • Well, it’s lovely to meet you Kai! And a Honedge? I’ve never seen or heard of this pokémon before. Is he native to your home region?

  • Good luck on your journey!

This one is another random extra that only has a couple lines, so do your best! I haven't decided if it's male or female yet, so both genders are suitable for now :)

  • Alola! Have you got a Normalium Z?

  • Sorry kid, I can't open this barrier to you unless you're holding the Normalium Z.

  • I take it you aren’t on your island challenge since you sound confused what it is.
