Pixel Exodus (A PlayStation Heroes Story) Main Cast Wanted!

Pixel Exodus (A PlayStation Heroes Story) Main Cast Wanted!

Project Overview

This is the main cast auditions listing for now. Once I have these roles filled, I will then update the listings by sequenced season and episode. I have some main roles already filled for Season 1 (Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time) so if you don't see them in the listing, don't worry about them.

With each episode's roles filled will bring me to reopen this project after setting up the next episode's roles for auditions. Remember: I will always update in this project, so be on the lookout for new episode auditions.

Just a quick note that AI will not be used for ground-up work like creating characters, backgrounds, voice acting, nor story-writing; everything will be done by humans alone. The only time AI will be used is through my script-writing: for grammar correcting and revising character personalities from media involved. I want to respect the artists and voice actors for their hard work.

If you have questions about the project, you can ask me here or in the DM.

Cleo Venezuela (F)

cast offsite

Character Description:

At the age of 7, Cleo Venezuela was introduced to the video game hobby by her parents: E.J. and Sofía Venezuela. Her parents would alternate between their jobs and their time with Cleo - their promise to never leave her feeling alone. One day her mother disappeared during her turn to go to work, and it left E.J. to pick up extra shifts. Cleo's auntie and E.J.'s family friend, Charlene, volunteered to take care of her while the father took off for his business trips. But then he suddenly disappeared too, leaving Cleo to fend for herself under her auntie's care.

25 years later, Cleo received a belated birthday gift from her father that would, in turn, send her into the video game universe of Sly Cooper. Now she comes to realize that, after translating a jumbled message, her father is alive. In order to find him, she must play the game to the end.

Voice Inspiration:

Her voice is based off of Zoe Saldaña's roles: full of optimism, curiosity, and determination like Maya [Maya and the Three] while she has a fierce attitude like Maria [The Book of Life].

M.A.I.M.

Role assigned to: GGamerVA

Character Description:

Created in the Virtual Interaction Testing Amenity, the Master Articulation Intelligence Module - acronymed as 'M.A.I.M.' - was the first AI Character created with its very own universe to test interactions and gameplay in the real world. M.A.I.M. considers E.J. as their father, and they wanted to make him proud with their ability to learn and improve on their performance. One day, there was a malfunction in the system that led to M.A.I.M.'s unstable capability in self-control during a test run. E.J. had to shut down that universe for safety measures, imprisoning his creation inside, and proceeded to implement a new security measure.

Little did Venezuela know that M.A.I.M. wasn't really imprisoned, but more likely biding their time to seek freedom - within the digital world, and outside of it.

DO NOT ACT DESPERATE WHILE IN FEAR. IT WILL GRANT THEM ENTRY.

Voice Reference:

M.A.I.M. has this psychotic outlook in 'removing the obstacles' in their way with a tendency of enjoying company or being excitable ['The Major' in Van Hellsing], but when bored or dead serious they will sound nonchalant or dark in digital nature ['Jurgen' in TellTale's Sam and Max (S2 and S3)].

  • (excitable) Hallo, Le Paradox~! Ahh, to meet you at last! Zuch an honor…

  • (serious) So in serious consideration, you made the right call in being distrustful with the mausgraues genie.

  • (dark) Not only will I find out about it right away, but everybody’s lives here shall become obscure by my coding. And you wouldn’t want that to happen…do you…?

Ezekiel Javier Venezuela (M)

Role assigned to: Pandahman

Character Description:

Preferably 'E.J.', Ezekiel is captain of a data security team and lead director of "Project Diamond". He created the first physical-interactive video game he would later gift his daughter for her quinceñera gift. In order to test the system, E.J. had to create a mini universe and the first AI character; the Master Articulation Intelligence Module. There was a malfunction with the AI, which later resulted in safe-guarding the permissions security to prevent the AI from getting out.

Years after completion of the project, E.J.'s team had dissipated one-by-one into obscurity, and he wound up taken hostage by the antagonist of the very Sly Cooper sequel universe he made. Le Paradox's plan was to bring E.J.'s daughter to their universe and use her as a means against him, to extract the Escape Code. As a last resort, E.J. sent out a coded message to the Cooper Gang's very own brains - hoping that his daughter would receive his message through Bentley.

Voice Reference:

I see E.J. as a head-strong man who would protect his family by any means necessary. His voice is a combined reference of serious captain [Capitan Salvador in 'Dead Men Tell No Tales'] and a fighter/inventor for an agency while being a family man [Machete in 'Spy Kids'].

  • (narrating his letter to daughter) Feliz quince cumpleaños, Cleo. Te amo mucho.

  • (tearful reunion, happy) ...I always knew that you were a smart girl, mi precioso diamanté.

Beatrice Batlavia (F)

Unpaid

Character Description:

As the daughter to a Bulgarian veteran, Beatrice volunteered to work for E.J. in her father's place due to his mobile function being incapacitated. She was tasked to create a temporary security measure for the workplace, to which she implemented a firewall that restricts coworker access by their DNA sample. E.J. approved of this DNA sampler, impressed with her ingenuity. Years later, she was found in the Wild West level in the Sly Cooper universe as Red Eye Robles's partner for the shoot-out competition. Upon further questioning, Beatrice explained that she was incognito until she could regroup with her actual work partner. In a last minute decision, Beatrice decided to assist the Cooper Gang when they are in the process of leaving the Wild West time period.

Voice Reference:

Beatrice's character is based off of Sharon Stone in The Quick and The Dead, and since she grew up with her father she picked up on his accent [closest I could find is 'Zarya' from Overwatch]. To be honest, I would've liked to have her sound Slovanian or Russian, however this is a better route to take for the story due to research on country allies.

Evinrude Batlavia (M)

Unpaid

Character Description:

After the M.A.I.M. incident and majority of his crew disappeared into a slow obscurity, E.J. hired Evinrude years later as a motion capture model and test run associate. Before the test run, E.J. gave Evinrude one fatal rule: The game must be played as is, otherwise the dialogue and challenges can change - for better or worse.

The test run with the finalized draft was a success, but neither E.J. nor Evinrude made it out. Le Paradox found out about Evinrude's assistance in the motion capture for creating a couple playable characters in this universe, so he made use of associate as his personal soldier; he hypnotized him [thanks to Miss Decibel's musical entrancement] and intentionally pulled him physically from the source to keep him enslaved in his mind. Little did he know that Evinrude would meet E.J.'s daughter; the very person who held the key that would cut him free from being a puppet.

Voice Reference:

Evinrude is someone who goes through the plan in detail with a serious outlook in consequence, and outside of detailing an operation he's known to be quite witty and (sometimes) full of sass. His voice is somewhere close to David Tennant, and the personality hits closer to The Twelfth Doctor in Dr. Who.

  • (serious) I confirmed that Le Paradox is trying to extract the game’s Escape Code, but I’m unsure how long E.J. can hold back.

  • (warning) These people are all NPCs and AI first and foremost. This game is already on a set plot. If you spoil what would happen to any of them it’ll alter the course and dialogue.

  • (sass) So you should know that I should *not* be around this big, red, glowing, daunting button...! I do crazy things, like press it.
