Partygoer! The RPGMaker Horror Game

Project Overview

What even is a "Partygoer"? Partygoer! is an RPGMaker Horror Adventure game about.. Well. Going to a party!

Who's party? Your birthday party! But you get lost along the way and shenanigans ensue.

The game has you go through all sorts of bizarre, wacky areas, such as an entire town, a carnival, a nightmarish underworld, and your friend's house.

But why the Casting Call? In short, I feel like the game's atmosphere and experience would be much elevated by some good, fitting voice acting!

I've always had in mind some sort of voice acting for the game, but since the original version was made under 6 days, it just wasn't feasible. Now that I'm turning this into a full game, it's possible! I believe that it would make the player's experience that much more interesting, since the player can get a lot more attached this way rather than if the characters were just dialogue in a textboxes!

IMPORTANT PS: I might add some more roles later, as currently I am not sure how many people would be interested in supporting this project, so I might add a few more later on!

The Main Protagonist, Sticky

Role assigned to: Runic (Sn8kezz)

This would be the lead role. The main character is a young adult by the name of Sticky, (though players will be able to change the name to whatever they want!)

DIRECTION:

The character itself is a young adult, and they would sound tired/a little depressed. They are pretty serious, playing the role of the straight man in any wacky situation.

  • I don't think this is my gift... is it?

  • I'm not sure what's under this but I can't help but feel utterly.. repulsed. I want to leave.

  • It's not opening. There's not even a damn door knob on this! This isn't even a real door, it's painted on!

Colin would be a major side character throughout, appearing at the spots where you save the game. In the video provided for example, he would have all sorts of dialogue before he lets the main character get some rest and save their progress. He's a big yappaholic, he can talk pretty much for hours about whatever comes to his mind. He has a calming, charming attitude.

  • ..You know this place is perfect for sleeping. I'll watch your back so you can get some rest!

  • It's good to pause every once in a while and just really think, have you drank enough water today?

  • I dunno.. What do you want from me? 'Ya think I make good "bean money"?

A rusty robot who lives in the junkyard. It tries it's best to help Sticky, even if it doesn't work exactly like it used to. It's voice is upbeat, not very robotic, a tad zany. Sort of like Pathfinder from Apex Legends.

  • Oh? Are you lost? I can give you some directions!

  • I wonder what that humming is.. or where it's coming from.

  • I think it's best if we don't go THAT far.. I've only lived here for a couple hundred years. Things change!
