Overtime - Valdivian's [REDACTED]
Project Overview
Valdivian’s [REDACTED] is a science-fiction scripted anthology fiction podcast set in The Afforest, a diverse galaxy from a distant future infested by the techno-feudalist entity known as Valdivian. Each episode subscribes to a different sub-genre and tackles a range of thought-provoking topics. While some episodes are humorous, there is a consistent theme of darkness and dystopia reflecting modern problems through the lens of speculative fiction. There will be six episodes across the first season.
We are currently casting for the episode "Overtime" which follows Regi and Ronnie who quite literally work while they sleep, paying off debts via renting out their subconscious. Content warnings for the episode titled “Overtime” include: death, death of a loved one, unethical medical procedures, psychosis, mental break-downs, grief, drug use and drug addiction, unethical working environments and work practices, hallucinations, and derealisation.
This series is being produced at a rate of two episodes per production period, meaning that casting is being carried out in sets. If you would like to be considered for future roles regardless of if you’re cast in this episode, please contact us. It may be the case that while the roles available now don’t suit your voice type, others further down the line may be the perfect fit. The deadline for auditioning for this set is 5th August 2026.
Episodes will run an average of 20–30 minutes long, and actors cast will have anywhere between one and ninety-eight lines. All recording will be completed remotely. This is an unpaid, non-union production. Actors will be credited in the episode, in the episode description, and on our website.

Regi is the main character and is in his late 30/early 40s. Non-North American accents only, Australian preferable but not obligatory. He uses he/him pronouns and has a gravelly voice that speaks of years of smoking. While primarily emotionally unavailable, Regi does experience grief, a mental breakdown, and a loss of sense of self and reality in the episode so he requires range.

(Dismissively, trying to be lighthearted) You know how it is though, Ronnie… 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it'.
(Stern) No. That's final. I'm here to settle my debts. Not going down the escape rabbit hole. It doesn't lead where you think it does…
(Whisper shouting and holding back tears) Ronnie, this isn't funny! Open the door! I'll scan myself in if you don't!
Ronnie is the second lead and is in her early 20s. She uses she/her pronouns. Non-North American accents only, scouse or broad Irish preferable but not obligatory. She’s precocious, far too smart for her own good, and has a young person’s sense of invincibility. She’s full of energy and has an ironic sense of optimism, but she does have her emotional moments towards the end of the episode.

(Angry) He is fucking still! Look at him! He's not going anywhere! (Back to Regi) Goddammit Rej'… (Sniffles) Not the med-unit…
Dude, you're gonna miss roll call! 'mon, get your saggy ass up and dressed!
(Sarcastically) In the flesh! Haha! You look like you've just seen a ghost! (Beat) What you doing in my room anyway? Got lost on the way to work?
A feminine AI voice. Open to interpretation.

GeneID match. Worker m85981000371, confirmed. Scanning vital signs, confirmed. Scanning hardware, c-confirmed. Identity, confirmed. Weekly news file shared!
Eytak is a supporting character in their 40s. Open casting, any pronouns. They are a criminal with a hard exterior hiding a soft heart. They care about Regi but can’t really afford to display affection, and assume the role of an older sibling figure.
