OutCasts Comic Dub
Project Overview
Hello, and welcome to VoFT's casting call for the dub of the webcomic OUTCASTS.
If you are unfamiliar with the comic OUTCASTS, it is a short webcomic by Soproxi that you can read here.
CONTENT WARNINGS : OUTCASTS uses strong language and heavy themes that could be considered triggering to some. With that in mind we prefer that you read the comic first before auditioning. Triggers include: Blood, Death, Racism, and Transphobic Language
Our goal is to dub the entirety of the comic so actors need to be committed to record their roles for the entire story, but unlike other project we do for VoFT we will not be doing any fan content dubs, just the source material. That means that after the dub is complete actors will not be required to reprise their roles. Something we do require from our actors for this project is the portrayal of strong emotion in some scenes. This includes crying, yelling, etc, so keep that in mind before you audition.
Included with the descriptions of the roles are characters and people the creator of the webcomic has described that these characters sound like, but please note, that perfect impressions are not required, they're just there just to give an idea of the kind of voice wanted for each character.
For your auditions, please record the provided audition lines at least twice, each with a different delivery, and are not required to introduce yourself in you audition.

8-Ball is a normally depressed and moody character.
The creator has said that 8-Ball would sound like the music artist bo en.

Isaac is a (literally) hot headed and emotionally driven character. They are trans masc so having a tran voice actor for this character would be ideal.
So what exactly are you going to do while we sweat and do YOUR work you overgrown pixie stick?

Giuseppe is one of the youngest members at the circus. They are gender fluid so they can be voiced by either a male or female actor but it'd be prefer that the actor has the flexibility to sound more feminine or masculine depending on how Giuseppe is presenting, but for the majority of the comic they present as male.
The creator of the comic imagined that this character would sound like actor Jack McBrayer (Wander from Wander Over Yonder, Fix it Felix from Wreck it Ralph), so a soft and gentle, high pitched male voice is ideal.

It’s very hot today and I wanted to stay cool like the pretty ladies that I see in magazines and wear a cute sun hat and a very nice dress!
WARNING : if you are auditioning for this character PLEASE read the comic first. Miggy/Muggy uses strong language that not everyone may be comfortable say and recording.
Miggy normally is a soft and overly cutesy character but he has another personality, Muggy, who is hostile and cruel.
The creator has described Miggy sounding like Kermit the frog, and Muggy sounding deep and distorted.

No Soul is optimistic but serious. He's a foreigner so he's doing his best to understand the others while hiding out at the circus despite Miggy not wanting him there.
He has a Russian accent, and higher range voice.
What do you mean when you say “he hates people from Zlo” What grudge does he have against my region?
Wat? Why would I laugh? Wat purpose does making you feel bad? More bad? Yes. What is the purpose of making you feel more bad than you already are?
Bo is usually pretty nice, and tries to avoid conflict, but is capable of being mean and blunt when he wants.
The creator has describe Bo as sounding like Double D from Ed, Edd, and Eddy

Ringo is like a big brother to anyone he meets and cares deeply about his friends.

Dis ain’t no wig, kid! This right here is 100% genuine hair! I bleached, permed, and dyed it all by myself! I really love the whole clown look, so why not live it, right? Exactly!
