Project Overview

Our Mutual Agreement is an animatic web series created and developed by myself and my good friend, Jon. The story has developed over the span of three years and we'll be happy to have anyone join. While this is a project I'm deeply invested in, I am a college student with a job, so production will be stalled during semesters due to these processes. Some of these designs are placeholders until I get the full designs done.

Within the world itself, the old gods are real and ever present, watching over humanity and other supernatural beings known as Mythics. Some Mythics, called Mutuals, are blessed by the grace of the gods after experiencing a near death experience. However, the Mutual has to sacrifice a piece of their humanity and return to the world as a different person. The story follows the misadventures of Mikoto Aki, a Mutual who leaves her home in Kyoto and travels across the world after her wife got a promotion. When she reaches the city of San Francisco, she finds work through a famed rapper called Meddle Crow at his exclusive night club, Ragna-Rack as a PR rep and bouncer. She eventually gets tangled up with the infamous “Trilby Thief” due to a secret partnership with him and the rapper, setting off a chain of events that found "The Sunset Investigation Bureau". Along with a colorful cast of characters, they go to solve the disappearance of other Mythics and unveil a global conspiracy.


Requirements for this audition is to have decent mic quality. If you get the part, you will be added to Our Mutual Server, the official Discord for the series. This series is also NSFW in some areas of the story, so if you are under the age of 18, you are not allowed to audition for any of the roles, PERIOD!

  • Call For Script Writers!

    Thank you so much for everyone that auditioned for this Casting Call. It gave me so much joy to see people take interest in the project. We apologize for the lack of updates. Finals week came down hard on our main artist, but now she'll have more time in the summer to get the ball rolling on the script. Which leads us to our call for writers! We'll have the main cast figured out within the week, then we'll put up the call. All writers must link us a sample of their work (deviantArt, tumblr, etc) in order to qualify for the job. I'd like to have the first episode out within the next five years, but I understand that life must come first. That said, I wish everyone good luck and may the gods be with you.

Character Description: Aki "Mick" Mikoto has served the Kyoto Police Department since she graduated high school at the age of 17. Over her 13 years in the force, she was killed in action during a sting operation gone wrong. She was revived by Hecate, after accepting a life extension and was granted immeasurable power. This in turn resulted in a massive lost of life, causing her to leave the force due to public safety concerns. She recently moved to San Francisco, California where she meets famed rapper, Meddle Crow and gets a job offer as a PR representative and bouncer of his night club Ragna-Rack. Though mostly outgoing and perky, Mick isn't one to talk about her past experiences as well as her nature as a Mythic. Her voice has a stern, mid ranged voice, similar to Samurai Jack.

Character Description: Aki’s domestic partner and computer analyst for Project Sunset, a non-profit organization for Mythics in need. She is a Neutral, a Mythic with no divine ties and thus no powers, but makes up for it with her wits. After Aki leaves the force, she became the breadwinner of the two and got Aki to join the organization. The couple moves to San Francisco when she accepts a promotion from her employer. Her role in the bureau is Forensic Tech Analysis, finding evidence in the digital realm. Her voice is mid to high range with a bit of a nasally pitch.

Character Description: The 36-year-old, self proclaimed "King of San Francisco", Meddle Crow is one of hip hop's greatest musicians. Usually accompanied my his best friends and bouncers, Biggs and Wedge, he encounters Aki shortly after she lands and offers her a job at his night club, Ragna-Rack. Though cocky and boastful, sporting blinged out shark tooth grills and a golden Megalodon shark tooth around his neck, he's also kind at heart and is willing to give anyone a helping hand. Crow's patron god is Njord and carries traits of the pelagic thresher shark. Has a voice similar to Snoop Dogg and his singing voice is akin to Usher.

Character Description: The executive director of Project Sunset and an infamous gentleman thief at 42, Malcolm is encountered by Aki after running into her and costing him a tip on a valuable mark. To repay him, Aki has been conscripted to being his apprentice and stealing a valuable painting for him. Though he carries an air of the suave gentleman and superiority, Malcolm is insincere about his feelings and has to always prove a point. Malcolm's patron god is Anubis and carries his jackal-like appearance. He has a refined British accent.

Character Description: A battle mage unlike any other and Aki’s mentor. While skilled in the magical arts, she can be crass and rather perverted in her mannerisms. In the end, she takes training with her students with great pride and hopes for their well-being. Her voice is somewhat gravelly like a female Master Roshi.

Character Description: She is the owner of a local jewelry shop and goes to the SIB to report a case. She is a kind woman who is known to sympathize with the Djinn’s Autonomy Movement and will donate some of her profits to the cause, making her a target for the sahir that are against it. In reality, she herself is an ifrit trying to blend in to prevent capture herself. She has a mid to high range voice. She's got Princess Jasmine's spunk and Raven's sense of introversion.

Character Description: A wight how used to be one of the great gunslingers of the California Gold Rush and was a protector of the people. Centuries after his death, he was brought back into a world that sees him as an outcast and was then cast out in the Mojave Desert. He was later appointed as the Sheriff of Calico Ghost Town, keeping the peace and protecting its inhabitants from marauding bandits. His voice is a low baritone that carries itself like Clint Eastwood and McCree.

Character Description: Max’s stead and team mascot, Shayne is a slime that takes the form of a dragon. He is an innocent soul with a childish disposition. He also acts as the team mediator, dissolving tensions with a big, slimy hug. Like his personality, his voice is a high tenor.

One of the bouncers at Ragna-Rack and Crow's right hand man, Biggs serves as his mediator and guidance counselor. He's mostly quiet but when he does speak, he has a deep baritone voice that commands attention. Although he would like for problems to be solved in a calm and civil manner, he will not hesitate to throw a car at some fool talking shit. For his voice, he would have a soft spoken baritone with a little bit of gravel.
