(original animation short) a ghostly encounter
Project Overview
Hello everyone,
I'm looking for 2 character voices for a short animated movie (5 to 10 mins) that's currently in preproduction. We're talking 2D animation (after effects) with some 3D elements.
The story is about a meeting between a farmer and the ghost of a long dead king + the king's valet. It's treated in a somewhat philosophical way with a hint of absurd thrown in for good measure.
Please note that I'm not a native English speaker so once the roles have been filled I'll be open to suggestions from the actors on dialogue if anything sounds odd.
If you need more details about the roles let me know, I'll be happy to clarify.
Deadline is end of jan 2016.

"ghost" of a king/god. Majestic and suffering, he's gone mad with the passing of the centuries. Jumps randomly between inquisitiveness, despair and anger.
(confused, then commanding)
No. Yes. When did I get here? Who are you? Come closer!
(self absorbed monologue, rather energetic)
No helpers. The creator took all helpers from the world. Were there helpers in the past? I forgot. Why
did I forget this?
(in pain)
I was! Atreon, the god of thunder! Adriel my love! Come back to me!
the king's majordome. faithful servant, struggling to ease his master's afterlife. wears a mask, so the voice might sound a bit muffled (to be done in post)
(protective, jumps out of a bush) No sir! Don’t do it!
He loved life so much, sir, that he refused to die when his time came. He’s been like this ever since.
Oh no, I reminded him.
farmer, simple, down to earth, stern character. Accepts the apparition of the "ghost", after an initial shock.
Um, I’d rather stay here, for now.
Wow, I would want to die too, after nine thousand years on a stick.
