(ORIGINAL PROJECT DESCRIPTION)
Opossum! is an animated miniseries that follows the life of Blake, an anxious opossum just trying to make it through university. Follow them and their friends through all their misadventures in the bustling city of San Francisco!
One of my big goals with the series is to bring light to my experience with anxiety in a silly way with silly little animals! I truly want other people to be able to visualize what people like me go through on a day-to-day basis, and how we overcome it!
This is my first time attempting something like this, so bear with me as I figure out the ropes.
Making my own series based on my characters has always been a dream of mine, and I'm so excited to finally be doing it! It’s still in the early stages, so everything you currently see could be very different by the time production gets going!
Here is the discord for series-related announcements, people interested in the project to interact, and maybe even some events! https://discord.gg/GCESNUM47D
Having a discord is required for participating in this project!
There are plenty of roles available to be filled to help make this series happen!
Voice actors (highest priority)
Animators
Editors
Musicians
Sound designers
And writers!
There is no exact date as to when the pilot episode will be finished by, we're just taking it slow since this is my first project like this.

Brief character description: Ximena is a 43-year-old Mexican prairie dog, and is the adoptive mother of the protagonist, Blake. She's a very tired person, who has trouble expressing her emotions. She’s very traditional in her beliefs. She works as a nurse, which greatly contributes to her constant exhaustion.
What I'm looking for in a voice actress: It is highly preferred that you speak at least some Mexican Spanish to play this character! I would also prefer that her voice actress be a Latina. Being closer to her age would also be preferable, but that's lower on my priority list. Please let me know if you check any of these boxes when you submit your audition!
Voice description: very monotone and tired. Not particularly high or low. I, unfortunately, don’t have a headcanon voice for her to give you an example. The changes in tone between emotions should be fairly subtle, except for angry and surprised.
Writing a little bit about yourself along with your audition is appreciated and encouraged!
Please read both the English and Spanish lines!
Lines:
English:
Neutral: What brings you in today?
Happy: Oh... thank you.
Angry: Come back here and clear your table!
Sad: I… I’m so sorry...
Surprised/scared: Oh my god!
Español:
Neutral: ¿Qué te trae aquí hoy?
Contenta: Oh... gracias.
Enojada: ¡Ven aquí y limpia tu mesa!
Triste: ...Lo siento mucho...
Soprendida/asustada: ¡Ay dios mio!
