[OPEN] Shoegaze / Post-Hardcore Songwriter

[OPEN] Shoegaze / Post-Hardcore Songwriter

Project Overview

Status: Instrumentals are currently in the draft/polishing phase. I am looking for a creative lyricist to join the process early. The instrumental track will be sent to the selected collaborator as soon as possible (aiming for the end of 2nd week of May).

The Sound: A heavy blend of Shoegaze "walls of sound" and Post-Hardcore urgency. The track is heavily influenced by the technical and emotional mix of The Fall of Troy and Pierce the Veil. It is built on a D minor foundation with heavy atmosphere, shifting dynamics, and a sense of "Panic and Desperation."

This is a volunteer-based passion project, but I take professional attribution seriously.

I am a musician and vocalist currently building this track. I have the chords, the vibe, and the vision, but I don’t have a "script" yet. I need a writer who:

  • Has a keen ear for music: Someone who can listen to a raw draft and "see" the story and rhythm hidden inside the instrumentals.

  • Understands Dynamics: You should know when the music needs the lyrics to breathe and when they need to be frantic and dense to match the high-pitched, agile vocal style I’ll be performing.

  • Prioritizes Imagery: I’m looking for abstract, raw, and vulnerable writing—think stream-of-consciousness rather than standard pop rhymes.

Feel free to submit your portfolios or samples. I will notify you if you have been selected for the role. Thank you!!!

  • *Say something you think would fit*
