One Stormy Night - Audio Book

Project Overview

"One Stormy Night" is a fantasy audiobook written by me. This book is about two sisters, Isla Taylors (14) and Astrina Taylors (11), who get teleported to a world called Everthrone. A boy named Logan Stolks (15), who befriends Astrina but was once Isla's bully, also gets teleported to Everthrone. In this world, an evil and cruel king, Alster, rules mercilessly. Alster brutally murdered the past king and queen of Everthrone, Grey and Ingrid, so he could become king. In the beginning of the book, Isla is teleported to Everthrone at a different time than Astrina and Logan. This means that for around half of the book, Isla and Astrina are witnessing different experiences. Isla wants to go back to Earth, believing that Astrina is there. Astrina, when she learns that she and Isla are the rightful heirs to the throne since Grey and Ingrid were their parents, wants to stay in Everthrone to save this world. Everthrone is currently filled with sad stories and power hungry people, such as Bales and Ollip (two of Alster's best guards).

Requirements:
1) Ages 13-25 can audition for any role they see fits them.

2) Please have no background noise in your audition.

3) Have fun! Voice acting is an art form so if you truly love this art, you should enjoy what you're doing :)

4) Please audition in this format: ABC ABC.

(A is line 1, B is line 2, and C is line 3. For the second round of lines, try something new or different from your previous take)

Project Info:
1) Contact (if you are chosen) will be through Casting Call Club DMS, Discord/and or Email. If you have Discord and an Email, please provide both in your audition notes. If you either Discord or an Email, please provide provide the one you have in your audition notes.

2) This project will be posted primarily onto YouTube, but I will also be posting clips and promotional content onto TikTok so more people can see the project.

3) I will give every voice actor credit in the description of the YouTube videos. This credit can be your Casting Call Club profile or one of your social media account links. If you have TikTok, I will tag you in the TikToks I post saying that you are a voice actor in this audiobook.

4) There are multiple books in this series so you would continue voicing your role throughout the series.

How to Pronounce the Characters' Names:

Isla: I-la

Astrina: A-streen-na

Kalla: Call-la

Ulla: Yule-la

Ollip: All-lip

Xander: Zan-der

Lona: Low-na

Important Note: The role of Kalla is already taken by me. I love voice acting so I should voice a role in my own project :D

The Narrator is a major role since they say all the lines that are not dialogue. This role can be either Male or Female. The Narrator's voice should be able to convey many emotions such as happiness, excitement, sadness, grief, pain, worry, etc. The genre of this book is fantasy and because of this, I want the Narrator to help the audience be intrigued for every line. I also want the Narrator to maintain the classic professional tone of a narrator.

  • The winds were blowing and the clouds were thickening. All of a sudden, the winds stopped. Rain began to pour heavily and the winds came back almost instantly.

Isla (pronounced "I-la") is one of the main character's of the book. She is 14 and is Astrina's older sister. Isla loves Astrina (pronounced "A-streen-na" very much and is protective of her. She was bullied by Logan, which hurt her deeply. At the beginning, Isla thinks she is saving her life by working for Alster, but the moment she overhears that she's being tricked, she escapes. She wants to go back to Earth to protect her and Astrina. Although she thinks Earth is safer, she gives in to Astrina's plea to stay so they can save Everthrone. When Isla, Astrina, and Logan reunite, Isla is scared of and angry at Logan. Eventually though, Isla sees that Logan has changed through his actions to help her and Astrina.

Logan is a main character of the book. He is fifteen and was once a horrible bully to Isla. Logan changes when he sees Astrina crying after Isla disappearing. He is also the son of Ulla (pronounced "yule-la". Logan is brave and wants to help Astrina and Isla defeat Alster, even though Alster is his own father. He realizes that bringing pain to people is evil and he can't let his father do that to innocent people.

He is a side character.

Ulla was saddened for many years because her only son (Logan) mistakenly entered the portal to Earth that she summoned for Isla and Astrina. When she sees Logan again, she is very protective of him and never wants to lose him again. She is a side character.

Bales is the evil and power hungry head of the guards. He tricks Isla into thinking that he and his guards were not going to kill her, but his plan ends up backfiring. Bales gets so caught up in craving power that he starts to think humans are not beings, but are simply just pieces in his puzzle to power. Bales also kills his own sister, Kalla (pronounced "call-la"), without realizing it was her until moments too late. Astrina convinces him to turn good and right as he agrees, Ollip (another cruel guard) kills him.

At first, she is defensive when she meets Astrina and Logan, but once they offer to find a Moreberry for her, she is eager to house them in the fairy kingdom for a night. She's clever, and although she appears kind for housing Astrina and Logan, she has an ulterior motive. She has a much larger role in book 2.
