One Shot Wonders

One Shot Wonders

Project Overview

One Shot Wonders! A Dungeons and Dragons actual play where we try and test popular D&D One Shot Adventures so you don't have to!

I am actively looking for actors to be the players in our adventures. This show is a rotating cast and not a huge commitment. Recordings will be made around peoples schedules once players are chosen. Each adventure should be around max 3 sessions at about 2hrs a session- though I try to get it done in one.

Experience with Dungeons and Dungeons isn't necessary. What I am most interested in is improv experience, mainly working the ability to work with people to build a story. Good audio quality is a must.

Some things to keep in mind:
-This will be live tapings with the possibility of live streaming sessions. Improv experience preferred, and DnD experience a plus, but not necessary.
-The ultimate final product is a podcast, as well as video podcast as a by product. Sound is extremely important.

Please let me know what equipment you use and if you have any improv and/or dnd experience.

Should the show become successful, I hope to pay actors eventually.

We will join a discord server to discuss schedules and upcoming adventures.

  • Casting Done! (For now) Invites sent Privately

Thank you all so much once again for auditioning! I have sent private invitations to those I wish to advance forward with. You were all wonderful and it was a tough process because of this. Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me.
  • Final Day

Hello Everyone, As the projects casting call time comes to a close, I will be reviewing all submissions and thank you for your patience! I hope to start messaging those that I will be able to work with. Fantastic work, everyone. It takes a whole lot of courage to put yourself out there and take the time to submit an audition. I thank every last person who did so. Unfortunately I have a certain standard I need to stick too for the quality of the project. Best of luck to you and your future! I am open to any and all questions, should you have any for me. Thanks again, Tyler
  • Text/Info you submitted with audition

Apologies to those that gave info or wrote something down with your audition. When I am managing the project and reviewing auditions on my side, it was not appearing.
  • General Update and Next steps

Hello everyone, and thank you for your wonderful work! The final deadline is fast approaching and I am so excited to be working with such great talents. Lucky for me there will be plenty of opportunity to work with many of you- as I have said, this will be a rotating cast. After the project deadline has finished, I will be sending messages to those that I wish to work on the project with a discord link. To all that join, you will be in the sort of Improv/audition episodes, called- One Shot Wonders: Off Book. These will be edited and published depending on content and how the sessions go. The main reason for these sessions is to make sure we will work well together. I will schedule sessions with 3-4 people at a time where we will have a totally improvised adventure. Your characters are the only thing that may be pre-generated. At the top of the episode introduction, you will present your character and a brief character description. This series will continue along with the main series One Shot Wonders, where we will run popular published one shot adventures.

Show me what you got!

  • It's my job to put myself in other people's shoes. Even if they are, in your case, large, clunky, and, I don't know, probably full of snakes or something. I'm scared too. I'm scared that one day, the muses will stop speaking to me. Because who are we... When we can no longer do the one thing we were put on this Continent to do?

Give it a go!

  • I run into dilemmas all the time. Situations where it's hard to judge, hard to know what's right, make a decision. This is not one of them. You disgust me. And deserve to die.

Give it a try.

  • Perhaps I should’ve teleported you two miles higher? Breathtaking, that view! To die for, really.

  • I Agree With Every Word You Said. We Are The Future. But ... Unfortunately, You Killed My Mother. This Is What We're Going To Do. I'm Going To Count To Three, And I'm Going To Move The Coin. One. Two. Three.

What do you got?

  • People generally fall into two categories; the living, and the dead. Unfortunately my associate here is going to force you out of the former for a brief ten to fifteen excruciating minutes whence I will put you into the latter. This is however, assuming you are uncooperative which I most definitely hope you are. So please, don't tell me what I want to know, I would much rather ask your corpse.
