One Piece: LaughTale Arc LEAKED (April Fools 2024)
Project Overview
Hello everyone and welcome to this funny One Piece project that I'm working on for April Fools Day 2024!
This project is for a YouTube "animation" that serves as an obviously fake leak for the future LaughTale arc of One Piece! The script for this video has been completed and all that's left is to get the audio and visuals sorted out.
This is new territory for my channel, so if it is received well than I may recycle some of the voice actors and actresses that I cast for this project for a future One Piece project!

His name is Luffy! (That's Monkey D. Luffy) He's gonna be King of the Pirates. He's made of rubber! How did that happen? Yohoho he took a bite of Gum-Gum.
This role is open to men, women, and anyone between or beyond the gender binary. The most critical aspect to the role is whether or not you can capture Luffy's crackhead youthful energy. Even though this is for a comedic video, I'm still trying to cast these characters as authentically as I can. That said, I highly reccomend trying to ignore both the official sub and dub when forming your own take for Luffy. I wanna see how you guys interpret Luffy.

Hahaha! Sorry about that, Franky! I’m just too excited to slow down! We’re so close to the One Piece!
Yeah… They ordered a cherry pie once… And they got my brother thrown in jail, but- I’m still mad about the pie thing.
This is too hard to keep track of. How are we supposed to organize all this?
One of the main villains in One Piece as well as the master of Off-Screen Haki. There is also something wrong with them. We don't know what, but something's not right.
I'm primarily looking for some evil sounding guys for this role. If you can't nail that evil laugh, then that may hurt your chances of getting cast. Even though this is for a comedic video, I'm still trying to cast these characters as authentically as I can. I highly reccomend trying to ignore both the official sub and dub when forming your own take for Blackbeard. I wanna see how you guys interpret the character.

Everyone's favorite pathetic man-failure! Buggy the Clown is the embodiment of comedic relief and failing upwards. You don't have to be scary, just go as big and bold as possible!
The main quality I'm looking for here is the ability to be eccentric yet charming. For Buggy, you have to get as close to the line bordering obnoxious territory without going over. Not an easy task. Even though this is for a comedic video, I'm still trying to cast these characters as authentically as I can. I highly reccomend trying to ignore both the official sub and dub when forming your own take for Buggy. I wanna see how you guys interpret the character.

Well of course YOU would say that. But- But- WHAT ABOUT YOU, LUFFY? Aren’t you always saying that your dream is to be King of the Pirates?
Ladies and gentlemen! Give it up for the Haki-Man who has done absolutely nothing since Chapter 1! Red Haired Shanks! He's just cool like that, I guess.
You just gotta be calm and collected, but don't think that limits you to being a stereotypical deep-voiced macho man. There are a lot of different ways to play this character. That said, I would kind of prefer if you tried to make him an Auzzie. Even though this is for a comedic video, I'm still trying to cast these characters as authentically as I can. Well Buggy- As much as it surprises me to say, I’m impressed! Though I have to ask- How did you get all of them to listen to you?
Luffy’s friends are right. We’re not making any progress being reductive here. Right?
Yeah we’re good. ALRIGHT! Does everyone here know who they're fighting first? ("YEAH!") Very well! Alright men! Let’s go kill ourselves!
He fights with three swords at the same time. Does this make him cool? Does it make him stupid? Many people are discussing this.
Regardless, this may very well be the hardest role for me to cast. I don't think I've ever heard a voice for Zoro that has 100% clicked for me. So don't be afraid to try anything and everything here. Even though this is for a comedic video, I'm still trying to cast these characters as authentically as I can. So yeah- I highly reccomend trying to ignore both the official sub and dub when forming your own take for Zoro. I wanna see how you guys interpret the character.

This happens everytime we visit an island. I don’t get why you’re surprised.
I think I might have found the One Piece before I got back here, though. Turns out it was a big rock.

So I just now found out that Nami has apparently never been given a full name? It's just Nami. Weird. Anyways- Nami is the only thing holding the crew together. She's the group mom, but not by choice. Pray for her.
The main thing you gotta focus on with Nami is making sure you give her voice a very slight sharpness to it. Despite being well put together compared to her crew, she's still rough around the edges. Even though this is for a comedic video, I'm still trying to cast these characters as authentically as I can. Usopp is silly and funny. It's hard to go wrong here as long as you're tapping into the cowardly energy that we all love.

I'm on the fence as to whether or not I want Sanji to have an accent or not. You could make him English, British, or French. Whatever you think works best so long as it isn't the 4Kidz accent.
