Project Overview
Hello, everyone! This casting call is for Gothic 2 Returning (New Balance) - it is an expansion for a video game called Gothic 2: Night of The Raven. Gothic 2 is set on the medieval styled isle Khorinis - it includes places like the City of Khorinis, the monastery of the Fire Mages, farms and woods. The expansion itself adds new missions to Gothic 2: Night of the Raven, and also expands it. It comes with new camps, new skills and attributes, such as intelligence, demonology, or shield combat.
In addition to the added guilds, other missions have been added to those already existing in Gothic 2: Night of the Raven.

WHAT TO EXPECT
We communicate primarily through Discord. If you are unfamiliar with it, you can still audition, however, we strongly, strongly recommend participation through Discord so that you can collaborate with your fellow voice actors.
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU
- First and foremost, have fun -- we take pride in bringing together talents in different mediums to create something truly phenomenal, but none of it means anything if the people involved aren't passionate about their craft.
- Please submit clean recordings on prosumer mics (no air conditioners in the background, no fans -- we don't mind performing noise reduction on your files, however too much clean-up reduces the quality of your voice). And speaking of clean-up -- please let us handle the post-production. Don't add effects to your lines -- leave that to our audio geniuses :)
- Feel free to cut your lines to your best/favorite takes.

Davey Kine
Most of the time, he teaches novices about magic. If the hero would like to join the camp, he must put one of his students to sleep with the appropriate spell. That is the only way of grabbing his attention.

Idol Namib is a spiritual mentor - a guru. Context: He finds out that Masiaf's assasins were behind the previous attack of the swampweed collectors from one of their camps

3rd line: "But as far as I know, their Brotherhood has always been based in the territories of the Varant assassins."

Dagot is one of the nine keepers of darkness, and he is always authoritative in his speeches.

Context: After the hero banished the Undead Dragon (Beliar's Avatar) - Beliar being the god of darkness, Dagot, one of the keepers, Dagot, shows up with the intention of killing you.
1st line: "So Beliar's Avatar is dead. Impressive!"
2nd line: "(subtly) You must be surprised to see me here. And you know very well that such events don't go unnoticed by us - the Keepers."
3rd line: "Especially if they were foreseen by us."
4th line: "The meaning of your existence has long been woven into the pattern of the existence of today's world. And no one can change that!"

Farion is one of the Fire Keeper (Fire is associated with Innos as Innos is the god of fire. Innos is the older brother of Beliar, and he's also a god). Farion is an authoritative character and blunt.

Falk is the leader of the hunters' camp. He's a friendly guy who had been trained by his granpda - he's grandpa died ( that's what he believes until he finds from the main character that actually his grandpa is alive, but he is based somewhere - on the West Coast.) Context: The main character comes and surprises, him by giving him the best news: his grandpa is alive!

Cassia is the leader of the thieves' guild. She is very sneaky, calm and autohritative. Context: The main character asks her if there's any task outside of town. That's where she is giving a task of finding a bowl who once belonged to one of the ore barons.

Taylor is an arrogant and full of himself militia-man. Context: The main character meets Taylor for the first time, at Lobart's farm, and as the story goes, the main character will get a task from him, as he has no other choice.

Sagitta, the healing witch, is kind and friendly, and always glad to help the others. Context: The main character is seeking for an elixir capable of altering one' s consciousness.

What is it?
I'm afraid I can't help you. I can't even imagine what kind of elixir would do that.
But I can tell you one thing.
By the sound of it, it seems to be VERY rare - or even mythical I would say.
And such things tend to be very well hidden from people' eyes.
What I mean is, you might find the answer to your question in a place where ordinary people can't reach.
And if there is such a place, I would advise you to look there. I'm sure the Fire Mages would possess something like that.

Serpentes resides in the monastery of fire mages on the island of Khorinis. He is an advisor to the highest of the mages, Pyrokar. He is a man who wants peace. Context: the main character wants to know if the fire mages have lost the power of their magic runes. Sepentes is kinda nervous about this scandalous issue, as he wouldn't know what caused it.

Context: the main character wants to know if the magic runes of the fire mages are still working. Ulthar seems to not know what might have caused it.

Karras is a fire mage who studies all day in the library, is a master in the field of invocation and summoning. He teaches magicians to summon beings from other realms. Context: Karras is pleased by the fact that the main character goes to see him, and he believes that the main character is fit for his mission of finding those 5 books and the scroll. He's eager to get his hands on them so he can understand his ancestors' writings with regards to their magic. He isn't the evil type, actually, quite the opposite.

And that's why you're the only one fit for my mission.
Currently, I' m studying the scriptures of our ancestors - the ancient Mages of Khorinis.
They were also serving Innos, but many of their rituals are unclear to me, and others probably not known at all.
It seems that their magic was very different from ours...
I've already gathered quite a lot of information...
And I know for sure that some of the books I need, are somewhere in Khorinis.
Unfortunately, I can't tell you where to find them, but I truly hope you're smart enough, and you know the island.
You need to find the five tomes, and the scroll containing their explanations. Without that scroll, it would be difficult to understand the writings.

Fingers is a sneaky thief, but also a friendly one. Context: the main character gets to meet fingers again Fingers - the master-thief on a small beach sitting by a fireplace.

Ah, yeah, I remembered! You're the guy I taught on how to pick locks in the Old Camp.
(amused) It takes a lot of work, pal, to have me sent to the other world.
I don't know either. I've sailed, I suppose - how else? We're literally surrounded by the sea.
Well, I do remember something.
When the barrier fell, everyone was rushing to get out of that damned colony.
Most of the Guards and Shadows followed Raven. He was going on about the northwest side of the island.
I didn't like his ideas.
Especially since I didn't just want to get out of the Valley of Mines, but off this island for good.
I had a boat stashed on the eastern shore for such an occasion.
What do you mean? I've sailed. But I didn't get that far as you can see.
A storm came out of the blue - that was followed by a dense mist.
And then I woke up here.

Greg is tough, and intolerant of stupidity. Dry, stingy and rude, he dislikes incompetence, and has no patience with others. Context: the main character finds out that greg, the captain of the pirates has been given the assignment of being the captain of the paladins' ship. They are about to sail for the mainland at once.

Saturas is a wise and calm man. It is difficult to anger him, however once really upset at someone, he is unforgiving and it is hard to regain his trust. Despite this he is willing to put hostilities aside for the greater good. Context: the main character finds an ancient tablet, and goes to ask Saturas if he could read the inscriptions on it.

I'm afraid not. The inscriptions on it are utterly unknown to me.
They all seem to be written in a very old language. And it may take years to study it.
Then find someone who already knows it. I don't see any other solution.

Oddler is a calm and friendly person. Once, he was captured by the orcs - in order to stop him to run away, they have gouged his eyes out. He is now blindfolded and lives by himself in the wilderness. Emotionally, he is still affected about his past experience. Context: the main character meets Oddler for the first time, place where he is building his own hut.

Lee - the leader of the mercenaries

Lee – a general of the Army of Myrtana and an outstanding war commander, closely associated with both kings of Myrtana in Gothic and Arcania series. Framed for murder, King Rhobar II was forced to send him to the penal colony of Khorinis, but would regain his old rank many years later. Lee is a very charismatic leader and smart strategist, known for a described in a book - Battle for Varant. Context: After allying with the paladins, Lee is chosen as leader of the army in the upcoming war with the orcs.

I' ve fought the orcs in almost every corner of Myrtana - all the way from the frozen mountains of Nordmar down to the hot deserts of Varant!
