Project Overview

OFF-ROAD is a private project, meant to enhance the feeling of a creative writing project. Due to the fact OFF-ROAD will only be shared to a few people and not publically posted, there won’t be a lot of attention to it. This would merely be a side project the voice actors will forgot about once done with it. OFF-ROAD  will hopefully be short, if all goes to plan. Though, I may want to call on the voice actors again if I want to do a second part to the series, which would also be short. 

OFF-ROAD, to describe it, is like a YouTube vlog but it’s only audio. It follows the banter and conversations of Rene and Ezra as they travel around countries and explore the activities and sights the country has to offer.


I will reach selected actors through the CCC message system and talk about way of better communication. I hope that Discord can be used, as it seems to be a popular communication method on this site. But if that doesn’t work, please offer other ways to communicate and be able to send audio files. Thanks :)

  • END - Roles Casted & Thanks

    Hi! Thanks to all that auditioned for the roles, I was very happy to hear everyone's voices and also the fact that people actually auditioned. This is my first project on CCC and probably will be the only one for now. I have now cast the voice actors for each role, and a great congratulations to them! Unfortunately, production has been a bit slow on my side. Along with 'OFF-ROAD', I do other projects with these characters and a bunch others. I also have other life things to deal with, but it's not a problem. By the time full communication is open between the selected and I, things will hopefully be rolling. To selected: Please contact me, either through the CCC chat or find me at my Discord, Octocat. If Discord doesn't fit you, I'm sure we can find another option. Again, another thanks to all those who auditioned. Everyone was very good but through analyzing and trying my hardest to decide, it all has to be settled. Good luck with all future auditions! Rene, a Filipina-British teen, lives in Birmingham, UK. She’s a lover of language and travel, devoting her time to learning tongue upon tongue and seeing the word as she travels it with her father. In this series, OFF-ROAD, Rene portrays a more upbeat and playful character, different from her usual serious and somewhat threatening stance. She enjoys banter with her travel buddy, Ezra, as well as teasing him. Though with this playful attitude, she still has a snarky bit to her, naturally.

Because Rene has a passion for language, it would be perferred if selected voice actress could work on certain phrases when asked. If a phrase is writing in Russian, I ask that the actress practices that one phrase to get the pronounciation down. Nothing more than phrases, don’t worry. If one can’t get the pronounciation down, no worries. One shouldn’t spend an abundance of time on pronounciation.

I also ask that an English accent isn’t too present, just lowkey. But it’s not too important.

  • Really? Why can’t we go to a petting zoo instead of that cave? Reluctant tone

  • Once you reach the end, you get shipped to the country that speaks your target language and you have to live there for a month. Cue laughing I’m kidding, I swear. 

  • And if you call me a bitch, make sure to put baddest in front of it. proud and chill tone

Ezra, a Hispanic-Japanese teen, lives in Australia but use to also travel around the world with his aunt. He tired out from it and decided to take a break from it but he’s back to it, once Rene asks him to join her on traveling across countries. He harbours a love for change and new things, food, and challenge. He has a curiosity for language, inspired by Rene, and he’s on his way to learn another language. 

Ezra is playful all around, he’s only serious when he has to be. He teases Rene whenever he can. While playful, he’s calm and adventurous, ready for anything scary or exhilarating that comes his way. 

Like said, Ezra is part Japanese, and because he spent some time with his full Japanese aunt, he has picked up on some slang and phrases. These may be used and I ask that selected actor will spend time working on pronounciation and such. If one can’t use it well, no worries. One shouldn’t spend an abundance of time on it. This will also be applied with a few Spanish phrases, as his father is Hispanic and use to teach Esra words and phrases.

  • Hey, you ever used Duolingo? What happens at the end? curious tone 

  • Too bad you’re vegetarian, this steak is amazing. Somewhat muddled, as if food were in mouth; also somewhat playful tone
