Object show: object overdrive copy

Project Overview

Project Title: "Object Overdrive"

Project Overview:

Welcome to Object Overdrive, an animated object competition show where quirky, anthropomorphized objects face off in wacky challenges for glory, hosted by the unpredictable -6 and the bubbly Strawberry Milk! This high-energy, fast-paced series features a colorful cast of objects with distinct personalities, battling it out in zany competitions filled with humor, suspense, and unexpected twists.

In each episode, the contestants take on wild challenges designed to test their skills, wit, and teamwork. Meanwhile, -6 and Strawberry Milk bring their unique brand of chaotic energy, creating a show full of comedy, surprises, and unforgettable moments. From dramatic eliminations to crazy showdowns, Object Overdrive will keep you on the edge of your seat!

Tone & Style:

The tone of Object Overdrive is lighthearted, comedic, and fast-paced, drawing inspiration from the world of object-based competition shows like Battle for Dream Island, but with its own bold, high-energy style. Expect exaggerated expressions, hilarious antics, and characters with vibrant personalities. The animation will be dynamic, with a focus on comedic timing, action-packed moments, and character-driven interactions.

The visual aesthetic will be colorful and fun, with exaggerated movements and a world full of personality. The design of the characters, challenges, and environments will bring a sense of excitement, creativity, and unpredictability to every scene.

Characters:

-6 (Host): The eccentric and unpredictable host of Object Overdrive. With a sharp, dry wit and an affinity for dramatic twists, -6 keeps the show moving with their mysterious presence and humorous commentary. They’re always looking for a way to stir up trouble and keep things interesting.

Strawberry Milk (Co-Host): The bubbly, optimistic co-host who balances -6’s sharp edges with warmth, humor, and enthusiasm. Strawberry Milk keeps the mood light and helps guide contestants through the madness with a smile and a positive attitude.

Contestants: The show features a diverse group of anthropomorphized objects, each with their own unique personalities, backstories, and motivations. From sassy everyday items to quirky gadgets, the contestants’ relationships are full of rivalry, alliances, and comedic moments. Each episode will see new challenges, new alliances, and unexpected eliminations.

Roles Needed:

To bring Object Overdrive to life, we’re assembling a talented team of creatives, including animators, writers, designers, voice actors, and more. We’re currently looking for:

Storyboard Artists to create the visual blueprint for each episode, highlighting key frames, character actions, and the flow of the competition.

Concept Artists to design unique environments and settings for the challenges, ensuring each one is fresh, exciting, and visually engaging.

Character Designers to bring the cast of quirky characters to life, creating designs that reflect their personalities and add charm to the show.

Background Artists to design the vibrant settings where the challenges unfold, giving each location its own unique flair.

Animators to bring the characters to life with dynamic movement and expressive animation, keeping the pacing fast and fun.

Video Editors to cut and refine each episode, ensuring smooth transitions, perfect pacing, and a visually exciting final product.

Musicians to compose original music that complements the show’s tone, from intense challenge themes to lighthearted moments.

Audio Engineers to manage sound design, mixing, and mastering, ensuring high-quality audio for voice acting, sound effects, and music.

Writers to craft humorous, character-driven dialogue and develop creative challenges that keep the show fresh and entertaining.

Directors to lead the creative vision of the show, ensuring consistency across episodes and guiding the team through production.

Storyline:

In Object Overdrive, a diverse group of anthropomorphized objects are thrown into an over-the-top competition, hosted by the sarcastic and mysterious -6 and their cheerful co-host Strawberry Milk. Each episode brings a new challenge that tests the contestants in hilarious and unpredictable ways. The stakes are high, with unexpected twists, eliminations, and rising tensions as the characters navigate the wild world of Object Overdrive.

The show focuses on both individual performance and group dynamics, with alliances, betrayals, and personal rivalries playing a central role in the drama. Whether it’s a challenge of strength, wit, or creativity, each episode keeps the contestants—and the viewers—on their toes.

Team Collaboration:

We are assembling a team of passionate and creative individuals who are excited to collaborate and contribute to the development of Object Overdrive. From brainstorming unique challenges to refining character arcs, we’re looking for talented people who are ready to bring their ideas to the table and help create something truly special.

Negative 6 (host)

Deferred: Profit Share

He/him

Personality:  -6 is eccentric, dramatic, and easily frustrated, sometimes with a short temper. They have a bit of a nihilistic view, often wondering why contestants even try because “everything’s just subtraction in the end.” Despite this, -6 gets oddly attached to the contestants and has moments of unexpected kindness. They often speak in math terms, even if it confuses others.

Quirks: Sometimes speaks in negatives (like “un-good” instead of “bad”), has a habit of ranting about the "pointlessness" of certain challenges, and occasionally "glitches" when too frustrated, leading to random score deductions or rule changes mid-challenge.

Secret Soft Spot: -6 may be tough, but they secretly admire contestants who keep trying despite setbacks. They might even secretly boost scores for contestants who impress them, but they'll deny it if confronted.
