Non Rail Vehicle roles available for Islandside Adventures

Zug is an ambitious, young tug who is Z-Stacks Fleet #4, and one of the switchers of the same fleet. He is usually seen working with Zip, He is used for a wide variety of tasks around Crotoonia, mainly in Gridina Bay Harbour. Compared to Zip, he certainly is intelligent and practical, but he is not as smart as the other tugs. He comes up with devious plans for him and Zip to use (although the plans usually fail). Despite being best friends with Zip, Zug basically commands him, who's too frightened to make any good suggestions. Zug's capabilities range from the towing of barges to liner docking operations. Zug is sneaky, cowardly and he needs the other Z-Stacks around for courage. Zug is a scheming sort of tug, though his plans rarely if ever work as planned. Zug is intimidated by the main Z-Stack Zorran and has a tendency to be somewhat nervous and jittery around him. He speaks with a Midwest Estonian accent. His voice should sound like Nigel Anthony 

Captain is a brave motorized lifeboat from the popular t.v. series Thomas & Friends. He is a part of the search and rescue team, His voice should sound like Keith Wickham. This role has been casted to : A YouTube user called Railfan #1

Isobella/Isabella is a Sentinel steam lorry, who worked for The Sodor Construction Co., but now works for The Crotoonian Construction Co. She's very touchy when it comes to her vanity. She has no original voice.

Brunswick is a barge that always looks for thrills and chills from the show Theodore Tugboat. He has no original voice actor. Should have either a North American or Canadian accent

Pugwash is a visiting mini sub that often travels with Stewiacke all over the world in the show Theodore Tugboat. She dreams of one day being a great undersea explorer. She has no original voice.

Skip is a skip-carrier from the show Bob The Builder. He often takes garbage to the dump. His voice should sound like either U.K. Colin  McFarlane or U.S. William Dufris. This role has been casted to : A YouTube user called The Dom Toon Channel

Pearl is an oyster barge from the classic show TUGS. She usually works with Sunshine and Little Ditcher, dredging for oysters. Her original voice is unknown.  This role has been casted to KAKelly

The Tower is from The Little Engine That Could (2011), and in charge of the Crotoonian branch line, The Dream Fleet Line. Her voice should sound like Whoopi Goldberg

Carly is a new shiny gantry crane who worked at Brendam Docks on Sodor and now works at Celgreb Bay Harbour. Carly is a bubbly crane who is happy to help out. She is friendly and is able to make friends with almost anyone. While she can be a bit over-enthusiastic about her work, she only wants to be really useful. Her voice should sound like Lucy Montgomery. This role has been casted to : A YouTube user called Melissa Taverner

Sumsy is a maroon, yellow striped forklift that greatly resembles Trix. She often works at the packing sheds at Gridinia Bay Docks. Her voice should sound like either Kate Harbour (UK) or Lorelei King (US). This role has been casted to Acutie.

Caroline is a vintage car (owners on Crotoonia for Islandside Adventures has yet to be confirmed). Caroline enjoys taking leisurely drives along the beautiful countryside. She dislikes being pushed along too fast, as it will overheat her engine. She is very calm in nature and appreciates the engines. She loves the occasional picnic where she is parked for the duration. She used to think railway engines were silly, until she discovered how they can save the wear and tear on her wheels.  She has no original voice. One suggested accent would be Texan, if possible

Lionel is the brown senior helicopter in the series, also known as the "Aircraft in Charge". He does not take kindly to Budgie, Pippa, or especially Chuck causing trouble and making themselves nuisances, but he keeps things in order with his patient but firm ways. His voice should sound like Jeremy Nicholas.

Beresford is a rolling gantry crane who once worked at a canal on the mainland and works at Grofflen Harbour. He used to be usually very lonely having no one to talk to, with engines often passing through with other work. His was once rather aggressive way of getting to know new engines makes it hard for him to make friends. Now, he's much happier as he has lots of friends who would often stop by even just to say "hi". His voice should sound like Colin McFarlane. This role has been casted to : A YouTube user called Railfan #1

Typhoon and Monsoon are a pair of tugboats twins. They are very mischievous, like Bill and Ben The Tank Engine Twins, but they are very strong and able hard workers like Donald and Douglas The Scottish Twins. Their favorite day of the year is April Fools day. They love playing pranks on other, (much like the Harry Potter twins Fred and George).

Roscoe(who's an O.C. specially made for Islandside Adventures) is a tugboat. He came to Crotoonia after his old harbour in Australia closed down.  He may be an old tugboat, but he knows how to have fun, and come up with jokes, like one of his fellow tugboat and dockyard friends, including Charlie. This role has been casted to : A YouTube user called JLRosieFan98

Marcie (who's an O.C. specially made for Islandside Adventures), is a tugboat. She came to  Crotoonia after she was removed from the coast guard fleet back in San Francisco.  Reason for this is that she tends to be grumpy(which is most of the time). She's hardly cheerful, except when she's doing small jobs by herself, like barge towing.

Rena (who's an O.C. specially made for Islandside Adventures), is a tugboat. She came to  Crotoonia after being built in California. She's sassy, like Stella, but cares about her vanity, much like James and Harrison. And like James, she can be lots of fun.

Ginny is a tugboat. She came to  Crotoonia after being retired from harbour work in Florida, due to being old. Now, she does barge towing along the Crotoonian coastline, so she doesn't strain her engine.

Heriet is a hovercraft that transports passengers and vehicles back and forth from the mainland(Virginia) to Celgreb Bay's car loading dock. He's often really full of himself and will often show off to the others, whether they're engines cars or even tugboats, which often lead him into trouble. He has no original voice.

Helga is a pontoon plane that delivers emergency supplies to the Search and Rescue Center on Crotoonia from the mainland. She's a friendly plane and takes a liking to Harold and Budgie, the two helicopters that are part of the search and rescue team, She sometimes helps out with some rescues when she's visiting Crotoonia.. She has no original voice of her own.

Siegfried is a steamboat that works on the Grofflen Canal taking passengers back and forth from Grofflen to Chipperton Wharf and back again. He was all full of himself when he first came to Crotoonia, bragging constantly about how the river is the only way to travel,  until he ran aground. He's rescued by Thomas and Tillie and now he's friends with them. Now, he respects all manner of travel. He speaks with a Cajun accent. He has no original voice.

This fire tug has no official name at the moment. He, like his boss The Fire Chief/The Fire Tug, he helps fight fires all along the coast line. And like The Fire Chief, he also comes from Bigg City Port. He never speaks in TUGS, so he has no original voice.

A big booming bulldozer, Byron works hard to keep things level on site. His job is to level out the ground with his big blade so that the site is nice and flat for buildings to go on. His pride for his ground clearing skills can make him a tad bit pompous and conceited at times, but he likes to be really useful. His years of experience makes him very wise, and he's always reliable and enthusiastic towards work. He has no original voice.

Johnny Cuba is a notorious and violent tramp steamer gangster. His strong accent indicates that he is from Australia. His voice should sound like Nigel Anthony. This role has been casted to A vine

Bedford is a small bell buoy from The Big Harbour in the show Theodore Tugboat. He usually marks the dockside at the Bartlett Bay Salt Mine, but sometimes he's moved elsewhere for a period. He should sound either North American or Canadian

Scuttlebutt Pete is a faceless dredger from Bigg City Port. He's also a notorious gossip - hence his name. He highly enjoys voicing superstitions, especially when there is fog around. His voice should sound like Nigel Anthony

Tex is a super large oil rig that was rude to Theodore and George. He refused to have his anchor cables checked before a storm, which nearly made him crash. He was saved by Theodore and George, after which he learned humility and told them stories of the ocean. Now, he's a lot friendlier. He has no original voice

The Horrid Lorries, individually referred to as Lorry 1, Lorry 2 and Lorry 3, are three small lorries who were incredibly rude to the engines.  They have no original voice. This role has been casted to : A YouTube user called Mr.MerlinFan02

Zebedee is a conflicted Z-Stack. He is the number 2 Zed-Stack tug and Zorran's right hand tug. Despite working for the Z-Stacks, there is little malice in him compared to his colleagues. He is usually seen working with Zak.  His voice should sound like : Sean Barrett. This role has been casted to : A YouTube user called GeebMachine.

Nautilus is a Navy Ship from The Big Harbour. He helps run the Crotoonian Naval Base alongside Bluenose The Naval Tug. He has no original voice.

Digby is an old cable ship who is always getting stuck somewhere out on the job. Digby has a Newfoundland accent.  He has no original voice.

Skiff is a feisty, fun-loving little boat with a very upbeat and positive attitude, in spite of the fact that his former captain, Sailor John, was not very nice to him. Sailor John bossed Skiff about, but no matter how loud he shouted or how hard he stomped on his deck, it never seemed to dampen Skiff's spirit. Skiff remained keen to make up again and genuinely thought of Sailor John as his friend, at least until John revealed his true colours. Skiff treats every day as an exciting new adventure; he likes to see the best in everyone and think of the world as a wonderful place. This leaves him vulnerable to persuasion to the point of appearing gullible. His voice should sound like Jamie Campbell Bower. This role has been casted to : A YouTube user called NostalgiaDude1998

Isla is a Flying Doctor's plane who is always ready for an emergency and has helped many in times of need, but doesn't like to brag about it. She often delivers medical supplies to and from the mainland and sometimes helps out with emergencies when she visits Crotoonia. Her voice should sound like Rachael Miller.

Sea Rogue, also known as the Pirate, is a tug who worked Up River at the munitions factory close to Bigg City Port. While he is known to wear an eyepatch, this doesn't necessarily make him a pirate. Some green-eyed tugs once kidnapped his uncle and threatened to scuttle him unless Sea Rogue stole barges for them. The pirates were later caught out by Ten Cents, Sunshine, Grampus, and Sea Rogue himself, who devised a plan to capture the two villains. Sea Rogue had been previously mistaken as the pirate himself, hence his nickname and he later forgave the Star Tugs for ever thinking that about him. He then returned to a peaceful life with his uncle(who is retired in a maritime museum in San Fransisco) Up River. Sea Rogue's appearance was quite intimidating, especially his eye patch, a typical pirate trademark. He was a blackish-blue tug in colour, and he did not seem to work for any particular fleet. However, the Mi symbol on his stack suggests that he works at the munitions factory, as the same symbol is seen on factory and warehouse doors. Of course, nowadays, while he does help with the deliveries of munitions and dynamite from the factory located at Chipperton Wharf on Crotoonia on occasion, he will often help out with the work in Celgreb Bay, alongside the Starfleet and the Ocean Tug & Salvage Co. team. He speaks with a West Country accent. His voice should sound like Nigel Anthony. This role has been casted to : A YouTube user called JLRosieFan98

Thumper is a heavy-duty quarry machine with two arms and caterpillar treads. He is used for loosening rocks. He is laid back in approach with a "cool dude" attitude, though he can come across as accident-prone. His manner is cool, and no job is too big for him. His old work place, The Sodor Mining Co. AKA Boulder Quarry was closed down some time after the events in the Thomas & Friends episode, Rusty And The Boulder, so he was brought to Crotoonia to help work at the Cliffstone Mountain and Baseline Quarries. He has no original voice due to him never getting a speaking debut. Although, an impression of Brian Drummond as George in the series Dinotrux would be a fitting tone for Thumper, or at least something close to it.

Ace is a Mega Machine. He was owned by Conrad The Contractor and now is a part of The Crotoonian Construction Co., owned by Bob. He usually lives and works in The Cliffstone Mountain Quarry alongside his fellow Mega Machine friends, Thud and Crunch, as he like them are often too big for most of the builds The Crotoonian Construction Co. usually do. He’s best friends with Scoop. He used to be a film star before he became a full time digger. His voice should sound like either Ben Miles (UK) or Brian Drummond (US).

Thud is a Mega Machine. He was owned by Conrad The Contractor and now is a part of The Crotoonian Construction Co., owned by Bob. He usually lives and works in The Cliffstone Mountain Quarry alongside his fellow Mega Machine friends, Ace and Crunch, as he like them are often too big for most of the builds The Crotoonian Construction Co. usually do. He has the same personality as Spencer does from Thomas and friends. And like Spencer, Thud often gets a little full of himself and is a little rude to others, which often leads him into trouble. But in the end, he does own up to his mistakes and apologizes for his actions. In the UK dub of Bob The Builder, Thud speaks with a heavy Scottish accent but in the US dub he speaks a eastern Bronx accent. His voice should sound like either Dustin Demri Burns (UK) or Brian Dobson (US).

Crunch is a Mega Machine. He was owned by Conrad The Contractor and now is a part of The Crotoonian Construction Co., owned by Bob. He usually lives and works in The Cliffstone Mountain Quarry alongside his fellow Mega Machine friends, Ace and Crunch, as he like them are often too big for most of the builds The Crotoonian Construction Co. usually do. He doesn’t  talk, just a growl like grumble or grunt.

Shifter is a zippy little accident-prone forklift truck who causes chaos with his energetic enthusiasm. A raised load can cover his eyes which means He can’t see where He's going, something that always comes as a surprise to him as He is constantly amazed when things get muddled up or dropped, but He always remains cheerful. He’s often seen zipping around The Crotoonian Construction Co. yards either moving goods into the supply sheds or helping load up anything that carries freight like freight cars or flatbed trailers in the loading bay. He has the same personality as Kevin from Thomas and friends. His voice should sound like either Rasmus Hardiker (UK) or Sam Vincent (US). 

Ace "The Racer" is an Australian rally car, who can be a bit full of himself. He thinks he’s cool and clever too, and expects the admiration and support of everyone around him. If it’s not about him, he’s not likely to be interested. Ace is a thrill seeker, who lives for speed and loves to drive dangerously. But he’s not as brave as he’d like you to think, being rather frightened of both wild animals and water. Ace is a dreamer who sees the world as his oyster. If he could only get over himself, he might become a nice guy. His voice should sound like Peter Andre.

Lillie Lightship is a special and much-loved lightship that was once stationed at Dem Der Rocks near Bigg City Port. Now she works on Crotoonia.  Her original voice is currently unknown. Reference to how she should sound : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C2aZGMS_u_M

Sigrid is a supply ship from the show, Theodore Tugboat, who delivers supplies along the Crotoonian Coastline and out to the oil rigs Owan and Tex. She has no original voice. She should have either a North American or Canadian accent

Patrick is a cement mixer who works for both The Sodor Construction Co. and The Crotoonian Construction Co.. Patrick was found to be quite a boastful soul and thought that concrete made him important, until he was put in his place when he landed in his own concrete. He knows all there is to know about concrete and thinks it is one of the essential means of keeping the building site running.

As part of the construction team, Patrick takes pride in his work and makes sure that each job is done correctly. He has been on lots of job sites and knows many different ways to accomplish a task. Patrick will gladly explain how things are done and how they could be done better. He has no original voice.

Alvin is a quarry dump truck owned by Conrad The Contractor. He used to work in a quarry on the mainland, but he was too reckless so he was removed from active duty and was transferred to a vehicle storage facility in Norfolk, Virginia, where Conrad found and bought him. He’s one of Conrad’s most powerful vehicles, but let’s just say he’s not the sharpest tool in the shed.

Blade is a bulldozer owned by Conrad The Contractor. She’s a very scheming vehicle, often comes up with plans to help Conrad get more of the building projects and leave The Crotoonian Construction Co. with very few, although only one plan every once in a while actually works.

Brian is a demolition crane owned by Conrad The Contractor. He’s a cunning genius who, like Blade, comes up with scheming plans to get more building tasks than The Crotoonian Construction Co. and put their construction company on top. Of course, like Blade’s plans, very few actually work on occasion. He’s Conrad’s machine in charge when Conrad is attending to something else, like another project.

Bucket is a front loader owned by Conrad The Contractor. While he is the smallest of all of Conrad’s machines, he is quite powerful. And he has quite a temper when it comes to remarks about his size, so the other machines on the same team know better than to tease him for being small.

Crusher is a sort of demolition excavator owned by Conrad The Contractor. With his scissor like attachment, he can crunch up any rock and demolish just about any building. He can get a bit carried away with his work, which tends to annoy Conrad on occasion(even though Conrad knows Crusher means well).

Hook is a mobile crane owned by Conrad The Contractor. He often does lifting and loading with professionalism, and it usually goes the way he expects. And when it doesn’t, he can get pretty annoyed. And he sometimes works with Brian and Crusher with demolition. Also, he knows a lot of things, so he sometimes acts like a brainiac, which irritates all around him.

Paul is a transport truck owned by Conrad The Contractor. He likes to show off his “superior strength”(at least in his eyes) by transporting vehicles to and from the construction site(sometimes two or three vehicles in a single journey) to and from either Cliffstone Mountain’s Quarry or Baseline Quarry or taking large loads of stone. He can get pretty irritated when he comes across a member of The Crotoonian Construction Co..

Sarah is a dump truck owned by Conrad The Contractor. She thinks that she is hot stuff, considering her good looks and her cunning. She will often compete with Max and Monty in races to either the dump, or one of the main dumping sites/tips. Sometimes she tells them about a shortcut further up the road, which often leads to either a dead end or a detour, putting her ahead of the race.

Silas is a cement truck owned by Conrad The Contractor. He likes to work hard and impress Conrad however he can, but when things go wrong, Conrad gets cross with him.

Winifred is an excavator owned by Conrad The Contractor. Her speciality is digging very deep and wide foundations, but she has do do so carefully or else Conrad gets furious with her.
