Next Top Singer 2022 - Season 9

Project Overview

CASTING contestants and a host! (Singers and a voice actor.) The host will need to be cast sooner as we will start making the casting episodes in April (and finish them in May).

Next Top Singer (previously "YouTube Idol") is a singing competition with 8 completed seasons so far. We start with casting episodes where the 3 judges comment and vote yes or no on the auditions and give scores. Then the accepted contestants compete with different themes in each round - even a group theme! Each contestant gets honest feedback and scores every round. Contestants are eliminated in each round until the winner remains.

We get better and better each season which I'm really proud of!

Since season 5 we have had "live" deliberations so you can actually hear how the judges argue and get to the decision and see individual votes. Since the 2019 season there's a money prize. The winner of the 2022 season will get $200 from the judges.

How to audition:

For Host role: Audition lines below, but you can also audition through email or Discord.

For Contestant role: Please read "Rules for first auditions". I recommend that you read all of the rules though, except rules for judges. Then audition via CCC, email, or Discord.

DEADLINE for Host role: March 31

DEADLINE for Contestant role: April 30 (set to May 1st here because you have all of April 30)

The competition (round 2) starts in June.

If it says anything else on the info panel, it is wrong. Then it is CCC changing it again, not me.

I don't mind the age or gender except I prefer an adult/mature voice for this role.

Please keep in mind this is not a comedy show (even though there is comedy sometimes). I encourage you to put your own personality into the lines since it's more presenting than voice acting per say, but this sets the tone of the entire show.
