LEGO Batman: Tales of the Dark Knight

A new LEGO Batman series is looking for talented voice actors and voice actresses for several roles for Season One.  Please submit an audition sample and indicate what role or roles you are interested in performing to [redacted] or [redacted] in a timely manner.  When a role is cast, it will be removed from the list.   Please note that not all roles listed are main characters/series regulars.

CHARACTERS:

MALE OPEN ROLES

Detective Arnold Flass – A former Green Beret turned corrupt cop.  Not very educated but he has a PHD in how things work in Gotham and takes full advantage of the situation.  One of Commissioner Loeb’s favorite operatives and Gordon’s partner.

 Commissioner Gillian Loeb- The head of the corruption in the GCPD.  A political ally of organized crime and the corrupt Mayor Hill.  Gillian Loeb sees oodles of “potential” initially in Jim Gordon, but sours when Gordon plays by the rules of the law and not the “way of Gotham” that Mayor Hill, Carmine Falcone and he have established.  Cab be both quite the politician and ruthless when he needs or wants to be.  Loeb seemingly has all the right connections and strongly opposes The Batman.

 Anthony Zucco- Top Mafia enforcer and drug smuggler working in the Falcone Mafia Empire who works for Sal Marone.  He’s a first-generation immigrant from Sicily.  He writes everything in his “journal” and others call him “Book”.  He’s more intelligent than others seem to think and has high aspirations in Gotham’s corrupt criminal underworld.

 Lex Luthor- A scientific genius and a wealthy, power-mad American business magnate, ingenious engineer, philanthropist to the city of Metropolis, and one of the most intelligent people in the world. A well-known public figure, he is the owner of a conglomerate called LexCorp. Lex has a corporate office in Gotham and several commercial business ventures in the City of Gotham.  He’s a vested interest in the future of Gotham, especially in regard to Wayne Enterprises.

 Jimmy Olsen- A young and eager to prove himself as a reliable freelance new photographer st the Gotham and Metropolis branches of The Daily Planet.   Jimmy has an uncanny ability to get himself into trouble which others often must bail him out of on a regular basis. He is pure hearted and means well.  

 Detective Sergeant Harvey Bullock- A broken man who lost everything, including command of the MCU after the Wayne Murders were never solved.  The shame of his new status caused his wife to divorce him and relocate out of Gotham with his kids, whom he barely gets to see anymore.  The demotion at work and his divorce has caused him to become a laughing stock at the GCPD and the once proud, energetic man became a belligerent slob and alcoholic.  

 Carmine Falcone- The Don of Gotham.  Carmine Falcone is a powerful mafia boss who few would willingly cross or double cross.  He’s also a beloved man of the people and has a positive public image.  He’s very intelligent and cunning and often sees many moves ahead.  Falcone uses murder and influence to further his business ventures and protect his family.  

 Mayor Hamilton Hill- a corrupt politician in league with Carmine Falcone and Gotham’s Underworld.  Commissioner Loeb is his right hand man and often enforces Hill’s corrupt will.  He’s not happy at the appointment of Jessica Dent, who is the twin sister of newly elected District Attorney Harvey Dent who is investigating Hill for corruption.   

 Richard “Dick” Grayson- Teenage acrobatic son of John and Mary Grayson who is part of the Flying Grayson’s family and a circus performer/acrobat at Haley’s Circus.  He has got a real zeal for life and Dick’s youth and upbeat personality is one of the bight rays of hope in Gotham that inspires the people he meets and loves, including Bruce Wayne and Batman.

 Victor Zsasz- Expert martial artist and marksman.  The ideal assassin in The Penquin’s organization.  He’s a cool as ice and on the rise in Cobblepot’s organization.  He’s never met a mark he could not take out.  

 Thomas Wayne- The deceased father of Bruce Wayne.  He offers sage advice to Bruce in ghost form from time to time, or his voice is in Bruce’s head when he reads his father’s journals.  

FEMALE OPEN ROLES

 Vicky Vale- A young, beautiful newly hired reporter and photographer at the Gotham Gazette, one of Gotham’s more prestigious newspapers.  She is determined to make a name for herself.  Vale is very fashionable and very attracted to Bruce Wayne.

 Barbara Gordon (Gordon’s Wife)- The wife of Jim Gordon and loving homemaker.  She’s the adopted mother of Barbara Gordon.  After living her entire life in Chicago, she moved to Gotham with Jim Gordon and her adopted niece Barbara.  She is strong willed and hates living in Gotham.

 Mercy Graves- Lex Luthor’s assistant and bodyguard.  Completely loyal to Lex in every way. She’s a strong and fierce woman who is also an expert martial artist.

SERIES OVERVIEW

The LEGO Batman series will be focused on the early adventures of the Dark Knight that will draw inspiration from a multitude of sources; Comics (Golden Age, Silver Age, some Modern Age including Earth One), the 1990’s animated series, the 1960’s TV show and some of the better Batman and DC movies and shows (like Batman vs. Superman and Arrow).  The Arkham video games will also have some influence on the series. 

 The theme of the series will be darker with touches of humor to lighten the mood when needed.  Hope will also be present in some form at the end of each episode or episode arc.

 Each season will see an evolution of Bruce Wayne, the main cast of characters (some will change per season), the Batsuit, Batman’s Arsenal & vehicles, and the Batcave itself. Each season will consist of a year or two of Batman’s life, depending on the story arc. Villains can be main cast characters (if their arc reaches over an entire season).
