Nest of Horrors
Project Overview
About the Podcast -
The Nest of Horrors Podcast is a short horror story telling podcast in the style of nosleep and creepypod. We make short horror stories submitted to us by authors and we create full cast audio productions, complete with music and sound design.
Distribution -
The podcast is available on YouTube (link) and all podcast apps, inlcuding Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Google Podcasts, Links to which can we found on our website (link)
Compensation - (Please Read)
At this moment in time the podcast is not able to offer you compensation for your work, however, this will change as soon as the podcast starts making money.
Before Auditioning -
Our podcast is more about quality rather the quantity, and is for this reason we have some requirements that you need to meet before you submit an audition;
- A high quality microhphone, we will not accept audtions recorded on a laptop or headset mic, I wish we could but quality is important to us.
- Minimal background noise, it can be hard to have no background noise without a booth a low noise floor microphone, thankfuly small amounts of noise can be covered up with music and sound design so we're not expecting perfection but make sure it's minimal.
- Communication, there is a time frame within which we prefer to have the current episode finished by, not being able to finish on time is not that big of a deal as long as you make us aware so that we are not guessing as to what is going on.
- Patience and cooperation, if we choose you for a role, and you submit an audio that has issues with your acting, or background noise (eg traffic or dog barking) we will as you to rerecord until we are happy with the result, if you fail to cooperate we will give the role to someone else. we are serious about this project and we expect you to be as well.
Casting -
We will not cast anyone until the casting call is closed, which means you are just as likely to get the role regardless of when you submit the audition.
and if you'd like to be notifed about future casting calls feel free to join our discord to stay up to date of the podcast and casting calls we put forward (discord invite)
A male character taking an uber to his destination, it just doesn't go his way
Hmm. I dunno. Something reliable and with good gas mileage. A new Toyota Camry? <asnwering a question, consider the answer for a minute>
Those must've been the days. <agreeing to a statment>
An uber driver just taking a customer, little did he know what was about to happen,
The construction's always bad up here. I mean they're always working on it. I'm talking years and years, one section at a time.
A '66 Chevelle, a Shelby Cobra, or a souped up 442 are up for grabs and you pick a stinking Toyota Camry? <Slight anger, like your ranting about it>
