Project Overview
Casting VAs for Nerds Save the World - a visual novel about a transmasc superhero and a magical girl who defeat the Shadow Lord to save the world (and possibly fall in love while doing it).
Note: One of the two leads will be expected to scream. There will be lines for both in raised vocal tones (battle scenes).

Sofia (she/her) is a college sophomore who balances a 4.0 GPA with her dedication to being a magical girl. Introverted and thoughtful, she struggles to connect with others. She uses her math-based powers in creative ways. Sofia is the protagonist of our visual novel, and we’re specifically looking for Latina/Latine/Latino performers comfortable with voicing female characters for this role.

My research showed that the Shadow Lord can use people’s powers to control them. But it’s one thing to read about something and another to see your teammates attacking each other with energy blasts.

Lukas (he/him) is a transgender college sophomore and part-time superhero from New York City. He gives off easygoing, chill vibes, but has a secret sensitive side. He often hides his real feelings (like a huge crush on his classmate Sofia) with sarcasm or jokes. This character is the love interest of our visual novel. We are specifically looking for trans male and transmasculine actors for this role.

The Shadow Lord is an unearthly creature. He/She/They has a menacing aura. Formed from pure darkness, he/she/they look down on human emotions. For this role, we are looking for deep and unsettling voices from performers of any background.
The character's gender has not yet been decided, so the role is as of now ungendered in submission.
