NEPENTHE || Minecraft Cinematic Roleplay [EMERGENCY RECAST!!! + New Role]

Finn is one of the two protagonists. He's a very complex character, and it is extremely important that you can fully embody his character. We will absolutely be having conversations about him to help you get a better idea of your character.

I picture Finn's voice sounding pretty cool (temperature-wise, idk how to explain it lol) and clear. He's not a very loud man, but he can be when he's upset. Obviously, don't let this deter you from auditioning if you don't sound like this and don't hurt yourself trying to mimic what I've written here lmao. This is just for reference.

SHORT CHARACTER SUMMARY:

Finn may seem like a gruff and rough-around-the-edges kind of guy, but he means well and is actually very gentle and tenderhearted. He has a hard time trusting others but is extremely thankful for the friends he does have. Finn often takes on other people’s problems and blames himself for things that go wrong, even if he isn’t responsible in the slightest or couldn’t have done anything about it. Small details matter to him; he tends to learn more about others by the things they don’t say, rather than what they do say. He often struggles with self-doubt and is way too hard on himself, something that he just can’t seem to fix. He can be sort of high-handed at times, often making decisions for others or getting involved when he’s not needed, but it does come from a place of love and concern. He enjoys working with his hands, probably why he works as an electrician (Spark N’ Zap Electrical), and is a natural leader. He doesn’t own a car, just a motorcycle that he’s had for years and loves. He likes to take care of those he loves and will always put them first. He is twenty-six years old.

Emma is a fairly simple character to voice. She's a pretty active character in NEPENTHE, so you'll be in most, if not all, episodes!

I don't really have an idea for how I'd want Emma to sound, so surprise me!

SHORT CHARACTER SUMMARY:

Emma is an extremely intelligent woman skilled in almost every aspect of witchcraft, though she specializes in elemental magick, enjoying it way more than other forms. She even taught herself to write her own spells, something that takes even the most dedicated and powerful witches years to learn with a lot of help. She is usually a calm woman, but can be very overprotective when it comes to people she loves, and kind of blunt at times. She’s the kind of friend who will tell it to you straight. If you get her mad, though, she can get very loud and will throw things. Emma is very playful and energetic, the exact opposite of her girlfriend, Hadley. She’s been aware of her sexual orientation since she was very young and was occasionally bullied for it, but other kids quickly learned not to insult her because she had no issues fighting them, and she was known for winning every fight she was involved in. She’s also very intelligent in the field of medicine and biology. She works as part of a group of people dedicated to finding new ways to use magick with modern medicine and make treatments for previously incurable illnesses. She’s into fitness, nature, music, and in her spare time, she plays roller derby, using it as a way to get out any unwanted anger or frustration. She spends a lot of her time outside, jogging down paths near the beach and in parks. She is twenty-four years old.

Killian is probably the toughest character to voice in NEPENTHE. There's a lot of variation in his tone depending on who he's around and what he's feeling.

I picture Killian sounding fairly gruff. His voice is a bit on the deeper side with a little gravel to it, and he's got a very slight southern accent. Obviously, don't let this deter you from auditioning and don't hurt yourself trying to mimic what I've written here lmao. This is just for reference.

SHORT CHARACTER SUMMARY:

Killian is way smarter than anyone gives him credit for. He’s often underestimated in such ways, and most live to regret it. He’s a gentle man, and the only time he’s ever really physically harmed someone was in self-defense or defense of his sister. He values hard work and honesty. Being as hard-headed as he is, he refuses to accept help from anyone. He will try again and again until he manages to accomplish whatever it is by himself. He’s a very determined and resourceful individual, having learned a lot about survival during his time in the military. He has a strong sense of justice and thinks very little of the legal justice system because of his views on it. He’s very much a loner, much like his mother and his baby sister. After the military, he got a job at an auto shop. He’s thirty-five years old.
