An audio recording of a fanfiction for the Need for Speed film!
Summary:
Tobey, Pete, and Tess are all best friends who are closer than family. Together with Joe, Finn, and Benny, the team works together to build and modify cars used in street races. When they work together to build the ultimate racing car, Tobey and Pete set out to rub it in an old rival's face, Dino.
However, tragedy hits when Dino hits Pete's car during a race which results in Pete's death. Seeing as no one else was present at the race and Dino has an alibi, no one can confirm that Tobey was not the one to kill Pete.
Tess goes into depression at the loss of her "brothers" and quits until the team helps convince her to get back into racing in order to prove Tobey's innocence and get justice for Pete.
The team will set off an a race against time as they travel across the country to get to the all-time street race so Tobey can set the record straight once and for all. But with Dino's power and connections, they will run across all sorts of obstacles.
And along the way, Tess and Finn begin to realize that there is perhaps a little something more between them.

When it came to her and Finn, they had been shamelessly flirting with each other for the better part of the last three years, but nothing had ever come of it. Their relationship never advanced past ‘friends who flirted’, even though everyone teased them about it.
Today had been the first day he had ever seen her really smile since Pete died. He had forgotten just how beautiful her smile really was. And her laugh…It was like music to his ears. Music he hadn’t heard in far, far too long.
