Nayélle: The Last Continent

Nayélle: The Last Continent

Project Overview

Greetings voice actors!  Looking for a few people interested in voicing lines for a role-play script that my friends and I have put together.   There's not a lot to the story yet as it is still in development, but we'd like to collect whatever we can for the first chapter.  The work you submit is going to help inspire the rest of the series, so we're really excited to hear from all of you.

Things to Know + Looking for

In the lines for the roles, below, the characters are part of a council, observing how the new guards they hired are fairing against a recent pirate raid.

x  It's a bit of a medieval fantasy setting.  English accents are favorable for many of the roles, but normal accents are just fine.

 x  Decent mic needed.

x  Friendly personalities and able to get along well

 x  Have Skype

About
Since the beginning of time, men have been at war with beasts; "demons" as some say.   As generations of men have evolved and learned to use the magic of the world to fight back, so too have the demons, and it's been an ongoing war for centuries.  Mankind have managed to fight back enough to isolate all the big and bad of the world down to the last continent.  The enemy knows we're coming.  They've saved their best for last.  Every victory counts.

Gallax

Gallax's true age is unknown, but his wisdom and teachings refer back to the histories of lords he's served for the last few centuries.    He often speaks slowly and rarely speaks with enthusiasm, even when he's the process of telling a joke.

  • Princess, I can assure you, our guards have the situation under control.

  • I would recommend not being so harsh to our soldiers. It's bad for morale.

Queen Magnus' age is somewhere in the early twenties.  While she's still young, she's very intelligent and is extraordinary in her summoning abilities.  After losing her parents during the last raid in the Last Continent, she's become overprotective of the only family she has left; her sister Akane.  As Queen, she makes for a kind and fair leader.  She cares deeply of the well-being of her people. which is what brings many to her kingdom.  No one has ever seen her upset, or depressed, except for her sister.

  • I'm interested to see these heroes..... Make sure they are thanked appropriately for saving the town.  Get them anything they need to make them feel at home.

  • You're not leaving and that's final!  There will come a time and place for that, but your place is here and now taking care of this city and its people.

Ravélle is usually the strong silent type.  She's a female warrior capable of handling nearly any type of situation.  She wields several blades; one of which is capable of giving her insight into the future.  Although she doesn't talk a lot, she does smile often.  Her biggest weakness are the people she cares about.

  • We may not have to....

  • You really want to go there?

  • Try me!

Princess Akane is a powerful ice mage, about 16, and although she may come off as cold-hearted, she means well.  Akane wants peace in the world, but doesn't like sitting around waiting for it to happen.  She's constantly upset with how calm her sister and the Queen is about everything happening and is eager to leave the city to fight for her people where her magic is needed more.

  • I could see the fire from my bedroom, Gallax! I just don't trust the safety of this city with the guards we have.  Especially when it's taken this long to take care of just a few pirates.

  • Gallax.  Morale?! Really? We're not exactly in a time of peace right now. If they didn't want to be yelled at, they shouldn't have registered to become guards.  And what's this about being low manned?  We're more than capable of hiring more guards for the city.
