Mysterio VA for Successful Spider-Man Audio Drama series
Project Overview
Audio Anomaly is holding auditions for the role of Mysterio, as part of the latest episode of Spider-Man: The Audio Drama. SM:TaD is a contemporary reimagining of the Spider-Man mythos in audio form, itself a part of the large Marvel Audio Drama Universe (MADU) project. The MADU has been around for a good few years now, and has amassed many thousands of views. Our Spider-Man series, in particular, is quite popular!
This is a fun installment within the story, in which Spider-Man teams up with the mysterious hero Moon Knight, to combat this newly emerging villain. Who doesn't love a good team-up?!?
A couple of things:
18+ No exceptions!
The project itself is a strong PG-13 to (rarely) a very light R rating. Mostly down to swearing (so be advised if F-bombs are a no-go for you!) fantasy violence, and some heavy topics.
No slating! If you slate, your audition will be rejected
Discord is a must! All group communication is handled on Discord
The better your mic quality, the happier we'll be! But performance matters more to us than anything else!
Best of luck with your auditions!
Voice Actor
Quentin Beck is a master of stagecraft and special effects. In our version, he was fired by director/producer Steven Grant (AKA Moon Knight--or part of him, anyway!) for unsafe practices. Beck returns as the villainous Mysterio--Master of Illusion!--intent on ruining Grant for what he perceives as an unjust slight. Unfortunately for him, his villainous debut is interrupted by not one, but two colorful costumed heroes!
As Beck, he's arrogant, defensive, irate--wholly unwilling to take responsibility for his own actions.
As Mysterio, he's a showman, intentionally playing up an air of superiority and mysticism, but with a sinister touch. Think like... evil, delusional John Rhys Davies.
Keep in mind that your lines as Mysterio will likely have some light effects applied to them--we'll handle that, you don't have to worry about it!
- male adult
[As Quentin, Confronting the man who fired him at a party] "Hi Quentin?" That's-- that's what you've got? That's it? After what you did to me?
[As Mysterio, having just revealed himself for the first time] I am MYSTERIO, you braying buffoon! Atop my head sits the all-knowing, all-seeing crystal of eternal mystery! It is an object of terrible power--one which can only be wielded by one such as I--the MASTER of illusion!
[As Mysterio, engaging Spider-Man and Moon Knight in combat] I had simply hoped to scuttle Grant's production, and see him humbled before sending him to meet his maker. But once I've dropped the final curtain on Spider-Man, all will be forced to acknowledge the mammoth mystical might--of MYSTERIO!
