Soledad Verdugo (A Bruxa Verde [The Green Witch]) - Portuguese accent

Paid: Flat Rate 70 USD
cast offsite

This is for two episodes. Soledad is Brazilian, so her Portuguese is Brazilian accented. She will say several things in Portuguese but most of them in English. She is a former exchange student who was treated badly by one of the series regulars and comes back to get her revenge. She is meek and subservient in her scenes in the past (not given here), but bossy, arrogant, and even a touch insane in the present, both before and after becoming A Bruxa Verde.

S01E06 will have scenes set in the past and present while S02E01 will be set entirely in the present.

  • Yes. She’s the one I want, Laura. [Pronounce this "lah-OOR-uh"] I saw how she got her powers, too. But I don’t know that there is another amulet like hers. So, we go to the lab. Just think! After all this time, I will finally have my revenge! So, have you assembled the bomb vest?

  • The one who should be frightened is Madison! I have done it, Laura [Pronounce this "lah-OOR-uh"] ! I have power now too! I am a Bruxa Verde! (laughs maniacally)

  • I am a Bruxa Verde and your girl of the year is a bully and a coward.

This is for two episodes. Laura is Brazilian, so her Portuguese is Brazilian accented. She will say several things in Portuguese but most of them in English. She is the aide and friend of Soledad, who treats her in much the same thoughtless way that a series regular treated Soledad in the past. Laura is meek and subservient to Soledad, but finds her own voice and strength as the two episodes go on.

  • Yes, Soledad. Do not worry. We will get into the research facility. (beat) May I have superpowers too?

  • My demands are as follows: I want a car. I want it sparkly and pink. I want a K-X-2 game system. I want a, uh, a pónei.

  • Fine. Bruxa, what is the point of these pranks? I mean, you had to pay that Irish hacker a lot of money just to drive that Madison’s dating score down.

This is a militaristic role. Gruff, taciturn, and deferent to a superior officer, which he or she encounters in their only scene.

  • Sir, you’re going to need to come with us.

  • Ma’am, according to headquarters, the accused was peppering search engines with queries into how Amazing Woman got her powers.

  • Yes, ma’am. Sorry, ma’am. Let’s roll. (beat) Sorry about the door.

This character is a teenager in high school, but as he will be in a scene with three actresses in their twenties but set in high school, I have chosen the young adult age. He just wants to get high and get laid, pretty simple motivation.

  • Where did you get that red ladder from?

  • Nobody will bother us here. My uncle Leonard says half the time he falls asleep working the night shift.

  • (Like you were just caught breaking into a top secret research facility by your uncle) Run!

She's introducing one of the regular characters at a formal function and so has that sort of sound in the first two lines here. By the third, she and the audience have been attacked (but rescued by the heroes) and so she's become a bit more human and real by the third line.

  • Hello, everyone. I’m Claire Givens, president of our chapter of the Girls’ Achievement League. Every year, the young ladies of our program choose a woman to honor with the title of Adult Girl of the Year. And this year, the girls have chosen a superhero whom I am sure you have seen a lot of. (beat) Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce to you the recipient of this year’s Annabelle Huntington-Wentworth Adult Girl of the Year award: Red Light!

  • If you would say a few words.

  • Well, with friends like that, you don’t need enemies.
