MLP Fimfiction Audio Reading
Project Overview
I'm looking for people to be the voices for one of my Fimfictions, "A Derpy Christmas". Its fairly short, but still requires a bit of feeling with your voice acting.
You all have seen the rules everyone else has been putting up, so I will keep this short;
Have a good mic. This means I would like that background noise to be kept to a minimum. This does not mean you need to have an expensive mic
Be advised, to whoever gets the roles for this story, you will most likely be taking part in the second story, which takes place after "A Derpy Christmas". I have no problem with casting new voices for the second story. It's just easier if I reuse voice actors is all.
Audition reel for the second story will be done after the Audio Reading for "A Derpy Christmas" is finished, and the third chapter of the second story is also finished and posted on Fimfiction.net.
Side note: I apologize for the random grammar errors present in parts of the story. They will be fixed before the final audio drafts are complete

Looking for either a male or female voice for this. Need a voice that was convey not only what's written on the page, but also the current moment, if you know what I mean. Don't think I need to explain anymore on that subject.
It was December 13th and all of Ponyville were already in the full swing of the Hearth's Warming season. Everypony was hard at work shopping for gifts, while others were busy getting their decorations up and ready. The whole town was almost buzzing with Hearth's Warming passion. This holiday was going to be wonderful this year, even more so for a certain pegasus pony, who was out looking for a perfect gift; for a certain classy pony.
Derpy rushed home to drop off the gifts, before leaving in search of the perfect gift for the doctor. But what could she get him that he either doesn't have, or would like? She went to find him a new necktie, not like he didn’t have like twenty of them, but surprisingly they were all sold out. She rushed around frantically to find something and eventually her hunger and rather short attention span caused her to lose her train of thought and go get muffins.
Derpy came to a stop after a while and leaned against a tree. Her heart ached. No matter how much she tried, she could never dream of actually impressing the doctor. She was certain that he saw her as a simple friend and nothing more. Besides, why would he think any different about her? She didn’t think she looked all that cute, or at least cute enough for his level. The doctor had been all over the multiverse. What did Derpy have that he couldn't have seen from many others? Lost in thought and sadness, Derpy made her way home and wrapped the presents before heading to bed. Her head hurt from all the thoughts racing around in there and as she laid there, her heart ached more. Even more so as she continued thinking about the doctor.
Just right off the bat, getting this detail out there. This is not Time Tuner. This is the Doctor Hooves who accidentally ended up in Equestria with the TARDIS. Now that's out of the way...
I'm looking for someone who can act out how nervous the Doctor is around Derpy, as well as how silly and sweet the Doctor tends to be.
I know he doesn't have many voice lines, but there's more opportunity for voice lines in the second story. A British Accent is not directly needed to play the role, though it will be greatly appreciated.
*spoken with much concern* "Are you okay? You're crying. Did I mess up again?"
"Derpy. I love you dearly. I always have. Ever since I saw you here. And I would love if you'd stay with me for as long as we-." *spoken with a sweet tone, followed by being abruptly cut off by a kiss*
*spoken just as it sounds* "Umm... Derpy. I have a question for you, and well, I was going to ask you at Sugarcube Corner but then you suddenly ran off. I then thought I would come over later in the day and ask, but then figured you needed space. And now I'm just rambling on."
"Umm. Derpy? Is everything okay? Oh bollocks. Did I not come by at a good time? Did I not wait long enough? "Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. I still haven't fully understood this world's inhabitants. Please forgive me Derpy. I-I'll come back some other time." *No further detail required*
*spoken in a low tone, just a bit above a whisper* "This is where we first met. Where I first laid eyes on you Derpy."
*tone returns to the Doctor's normal, calm tone* "Here. Merry Christmas Derpy. Oh, wait. I believe you ponies call today Hearth's Warming. So… Happy Hearth's Warming Day Derpy."
Don't think I need to explain what kind of voice I want for Derpy. All I will say is, I would love it if your voice could come close to that of the voice Derpy has in "Doctor Hooves and his Assistant". I honestly think that's the best Derpy voice I've heard.
"Darn it. Darn it. Darn it. I can't find anything for the doctor. Why is it so difficult to find a gift for him? He's only one pony… doctor… Time Lord… ARG!" *No further details required*
"I-its nothing... I'm okay." "I-I need to get going... Bye." *She's highly startled and now flustered*"N-not really. Just a small bit in the morning when I do presents and deliver a few last minute holiday cards. Celestia only knows why they choose to wait until the last moment to mail them. Why? What's up?" *keeping her normal composure but still curious about what the Doctor has to say*
"No. I messed up. You got me a present, but I didn't get you anything. I couldn't get you anything. I don’t deserve your gift." *She's near the put of tears over the current situation*
Dinky doesn't have many roles in this story, as such, I'm including a few lines from the second story as she holds more lines there. Dinky is nearing a more teenage like age, as such she doesn't quite have the same high pitch voice that she used to have before. She's also had to play the role of an acting big sister for her big sister, so her speech patterns make her sound older than she really is.
"You okay Derpy? You look upset. Do you really like it?" *she's concerned about how sad her sister looks and sounds at that moment*
"Look Derpy. It's snowing. It's snowing." *Child-like wonder, no other way to describe it*(This is from the second story)
“Yeah. I’ll be okay.” *normal tone* “Next time, give a filly a warning before you launch her across the room. Unless you want to be the pony who has to explain to Derpy that they sent her beloved sister to the hospital.” *added sass for effect*
*additional sass and chuckle* “You can cook?” “Geez. For somepony who claims to be the universes’ savior, you sure break fast.” “Well come on. Show me this ‘cooking skill’ of yours.”(This is from the second story)
*Read Description for more details*
“It must be hard. Being a pony and all. I know I'm still young to fully understand what all is going on between you and my sis, but I know the two of you haven't been talking as much as you used to.” “
I'm not an idiot. And neither is my sister. We know what you’ve been working on in your workshop. We know you've been working out a way to get back to your world, and that you don't know how to tell us. Derpy has known for a while. She just doesn't know what to do.”
“I don't entirely care or understand your purpose in trying to go home. If it were up to me, and I had the chance to help, I'd be right beside you helping. But it won't be me your absence would affect.”
“What I'm trying to say is… Ever since Derpy and I were abandoned by our parents, my sister has had a hard time opening up to other ponies. With her awkward, bubbly personality and ditsy nature, most ponies either ignored her or straight up made fun of her. Which caused me to have to step in and defend her, or just be her shoulder to cry on. I, the younger sister, had to grow up fast to be able to handle Derpy’s pain. For the longest time, I was afraid somepony would break her, or take advantage of her. That she’d end up believing she didn't belong here. I no longer have that fear. You want to know why?”
“Ever since you came into Derpy’s life, she’s been different. I have never seen her as lively as she has been during the last few months. I could not imagine what she would be like if she never met you.”
“I don't know what you plan on doing if you find a way back home, but just know that you do have a place here in Ponyville. A place with me and Derpy. A place that, frankly would be dull without you in it. Don't forget that.”
To better portray the story, a bit of colorful background art would be most appreciated. All that is required to get this role is to offer, as a minimum, a quick sketch of how you see the first few paragraphs of "A Derpy Christmas". I'm open to having about two artists for this project, mainly to take care of the artwork for the second story.
