Welcome to the auditions for Episode 2 of Misty Moon!
Episode 1 Summary (it's also linked if you'd like to watch the whole thing): The show follows the title character Misty Moon, the princess of Lunaria and daughter of Queen Monica Moon. Misty hopes to use her unique ability to travel to other realms to expand her evil empire and continue her mother's reign of terror. Her plans are interrupted when she and her loyal servant Oberon get trapped in a peasant revolt. Misty uses her powers to escape, but accidentally transport them to the Kingdom of Faraway, an idyllic, fairytale land where everyone lives in peace and harmony. The second episode picks up at this point and sees Misty and Oberon struggle to adjust to this foreign society. The series overall is lighthearted and episodic, and the main conflict of the show is Misty's struggle to follow her mom's destiny for her or choose her own path.
Roles Needed: The show is animated with an animatic style, and is basically a fully colored storyboard. I am looking for artists to do storyboard sketches of the script. There are also three new characters who need voice actors. Artists and voice actors will need e-mail or Discord to communicate with me.
Workload: This project is for a hobby and unpaid. Still, I am serious about the project and will do everything I can to see that it's completed. It will be a frequent commitment for storyboard artists, and you will likely have to sketch 8 frames a week, though I did the storyboards for Episode 1 and will be available to complete whatever doesn't get finished. Voice actors will have less of a commitment and will get a month to record 10-15 lines on average.

The queen of the kingdom of Faraway, Felicity serves as a bright light to lead her subjects--figuratively and literally. She has a warm personality, always smiling even in the face of evil, and she uses powerful light magic to keep her enemies at bay. Ever since she was young, Felicity was prepared to protect the kingdom as its queen, and she knows she can always rely on her sister Fawn when she needs help. She makes a few appearances throughout the series, and speaks around 10 lines during these appearances.
(discussing with Fawn what they should do after Misty caused trouble in the kingdom, thoughtful, naive) Oh, I don't know, we haven't used it in years. I'm perfectly fine with them staying until they can find a way back to their realm, as long as they promise not to conquer us.
(kind, confident) Don't worry, Fawn, they won't cause us any trouble.
(threatening Misty after she tried to attack her, grave, serious) You aren't trying to break the agreement we made, are you?
The princess of Faraway, Fawn has felt the responsibility of being a royal from a young age. While she was born with healing magic, she struggles to use it and believes her sword abilities are more important. She is a capable princess with a strong desire to care for others, evidenced by how she acts as a mother to a group of children in the kingdom, but she struggles with doubting herself and finds that she doesn't fit the royal role as well as her sister Felicity does. She makes regular appearances throughout the series and speaks around 10 lines during these appearances.
(encountering Misty for the first time, standing her ground) Well then, I order you to come peacefully before I am required to use force against you.
(telling Felicity about Misty and Oberon, dryly) Yeah, and their stated purpose here is to integrate our kingdom into their empire through violent conquest.
(questioning her sister, firm but not mean) Wait, are you sure that's a safe decision?
Her name says it all: Cookie's a famous baker in Faraway who is known for her delicious food and sweet personality. She puts a lot of hard work into running her business, but still enjoys the simplistic nature of her life. She is motherly and caring, yet not in a passive way, and keeps up a lively personality despite her older age. She is the focus of one episode and otherwise makes brief appearances throughout the series, speaking around 5 lines during these appearances.
(explaining that she's out of bread, gently letting them down) I'm sorry to say this, but that was my free batch for the day. I can't spare any more food, especially with this festival coming up.
(excited, determined) Alright bakers, let's get to the kitchen.
(teaching how to ice cookies) Don't worry, this is only a test run! Just scrape it off and try again.
Storyboard artists will need to create sketches of scenes based off of the script and replicate the show's art style. I am hoping to complete the episode over the summer, so you would have around 2 months to finish your scene, although deadlines are ultimately flexible since this is for fun. The scenes are on average 60 frames long, and no one will be required to do more than one scene. I will stay in contact with you throughout the process and help you as much or as little as you need! It can be work you've done on other shows or you own independent animation/art.
