Project Overview
A sheltered young woman with an unusual health condition - haters call it being a "zombie" - enters her local beauty pageant looking for friendship, admiration and to smash some beauty standards!

This story takes place in modern day America, so most of the characters have general American or Midwestern accents.
Some characters appear throughout the entire run of the Miss Vissura USA comic; please do not audition for a recurring role if unable to make an ongoing commitment to the role. Whether a character is major, recurring or minor is in their audition information.
This CCC project listing is seeking voice talent for the 2ND EPISODE of Miss Vissura USA. I am casting for characters that appear in the next episode, which will be posted OCT 25th on YouTube. (Miss Vissura is posted monthly on my YT channel.) If CCC is a responsive forum for finding talent, I will continue posting casting calls here for every episode until this motion comic is complete, so if you're not suited to the current roles please stay tuned for other characters.
"Why monthly casting calls instead of doing 1 casting call and recording the entire script?" The story treatment for Miss Vissura USA is completed, but the word-for-word screenplay is not. I am a one-jester-band, taking Miss Vissura USA from idea all the way to post on YouTube, so casting and recording as I go is the most manageable and consistent way for me to complete episodes.
Communication is key. The perfect voice will be passed over for a solid voice who responds quickly and accurately to feedback. I always give specific direction and happily provide guides/examples of what I'm looking for to keep the recording process fun and productive! 🥰 Miss Vissura USA is an unpaid listing, but I will recast volunteers who communicate impolitely or take excessive time when replying to messages.
Communication is key part 2: this is my first experience using CCC, so I will use the DMs/team chat feature on this site to communicate with cast initially. If that feature is not sufficient for our needs, I will communicate through e-mail, so please have a reliable e-mail address handy.
If the actor's audition read happens to be perfectly the performance I'm looking for, that audition take will be the one that goes directly into the episode! But if there are any small changes I'd like, I'll reach out to the cast member privately to provide direction. All cast members must be available to re-record any lines.
All cast members will be credited in the YouTube description! I will ask your preferred social sites/links privately after you are cast. It is perfectly fine to repost clips of Miss Vissura USA to social media!🤩👌 I'm username "jesterfeathers" on YouTube, Cara and instagram (💖please @ me on there so I can reshare your lovely posts!💞) but you can repost anywhere you'd like as long as you provide credit like "Miss Vissura USA by jesterfeathers on YouTube". It wasn't an easy choice; I didn't dismiss any of the auditions I received because they each had their own special traits that might not have been what I was looking for this time... but Miss Vissura USA is far from over.
