Mini Series Dub Roster

Context: Mini-Series are soap operas where each episode is 1-2min long. A standard series consists of 50 episode batches with 10-15 characters. These low budget dubs are not recorded via standard ADR process as matching flaps are not considered a strict requirement. You may or may not be working with a director depending on the importance of your role but you generally watch the footage and providetwo three takes that fits into the space allocated. In this sense, it is more like an indy game process than dubbing.
A few of my clients had recently shifted focus to producing min-series. Their reasons for wanting a dub is usually for either better recording quality than what they have on set, and/or have a more native sound than their existing talents.

For talent consideration:
Rate: $1/line is the floor price. Depending on the series, this may go as high as $2/line. At $1/line you are working at roughly $30-45/hr depending on how quickly you can get through the content. (Some actors can get through 70+ lines an hour by chasing the footage.)
Volume: Each series is produced in 50ep batches but most series will run for 150+ episodes. We estimate 1000lines per 150min of content.
CONTENT WARNING: All series will likely contain scenes of violence, sexuality, or sensitive topics. There are no official ratings on the content but I place it at around an R.
Timeline: We expect work to begin production on 2 series totaling 145min between them in Feb-Mar, 2024.
