Millennial Monsters (More Roles)
Project Overview
Hello! I’ve posted here before seeking voice actors and was absolutely astounded by the reception.
Now I’m back seeking a variety of additional creative roles for my indie paranormal mystery audio drama, Millennial Monsters.
If you’re passionate about storytelling, intrigued by this concept, and want to be a consistent collaborator I’d love to hear from you.
This audio drama, adapted from my novel on Substack of the same name, follows Wendell Batty, a 32-year-old queer, mild-mannered, vegetarian werewolf who just wants to live an ordinary life.
But, when he’s sent threatening letters and framed for a string of supernatural murders, along with his best friend, Aurora Dark, Wen reluctantly teams up with Violet Sword, the monster hunter who once tried to kill him, and his almost-ex-husband, Cayden, alpha of the Howley-Kirkwood pack.
As he dodges the paranormal police, they embark on a dangerous and deadly adventure that circles back to the night of the Super Blood Moon in 1993 when Wen was first bitten.
It has thirteen episodes and possibly six bonus episodes with a full cast of talented human voice actors. We’re ACTIVELY IN PRODUCTION and nearly done with recording the core episodes. We’re aiming for a fall/autumn release date for the first episode.
I already have a full cast of characters for the core 13 episodes but am looking for some additional voices for the bonus episodes. Many of these characters have just a few lines and other than Wylan and Wendell’s Mom, are not recurring.
Most importantly, you must be comfortable with queer characters and a largely queer cast. We also do not use generative AI.

I’m looking for at least one, but up to 2 or 3 (or more!) sound designers.
This is a very immersive audio drama, rich with sound effects. They range from ordinary ones like footsteps on a hiking trail and paper rustling to slightly more complex ones like a car being shot at with bullets, and a pack of werewolves attacking humans.

As with the character artists I don’t want making music for the show to fall too heavily on just one musician, so I have two positions up here, but am open to taking on more!
It’s set in 2013 so I picture the music being contemporary, no lyrics, and a little synthy like Purrple Cat and Dimension 32 on YouTube.
I’d love to come up specifically with some character theme music, music for an abandoned theme park in the woods, transition between scenes music, flashback music, and music that can be incorporated into a sound bed without being too noticeable.

I’m looking for audio editors and engineers who can bring all of the character audio, sounds, and music together!
This doesn’t need to fall on only one person, I’m more than open to having two, three, or even more on board with us!
We’ve got 13 core episodes with potentially up to 6 bonus episodes. We’re actively in production and are nearly done with the full cast recordings. We’re aiming for a fall/autumn release date, so looking for someone who can start immediately.

It still hasn’t healed. [Wendell’s werewolf bite on his ankle] None of the doctors have an explanation.
[Pronounced, Don-he] DONHE’s containment unit isn’t jail, honey, you’re not a criminal.
[Timidly] Well, with it being Christmas Eve and Christmas, we were thinking just this once to manage Wendell’s moonset here.
Male, 30s - 40s. The human (ghost) form of the werewolf that bit Wendell, unknowingly to Wen saving his life. This is a scene where his ghost appears to Wen and tells him he's a werewolf.

If I wasn’t passing through that day, you’d be six feet under with the rest of them, kiddo.
You got away that night, Wendell Batty, thanks to me giving you that bite on your ankle. That’s one scar that never will heal, by the way.
Female, 20s - 40s. Officially tells Wendell and his parents that he's a werewolf. She's blunt and unsympathetic, very much classic police officer dynamic.

It wasn’t coyotes that attacked and killed Wendell’s Boy Scout troop. It was a pack of werewolves that were inhabiting the abandoned Wonder Hills Fun Park.
It’s almost the full moon. We need to get Wendell ready for his moons.
Male, 30s - middle aged. Another officer who is unsympathetic about Wendell being a werewolf.

Fine. I won’t mince words. It’s not advisable to even consider pulling Wendell out of our custody.
This is a recording of Wendell’s transformations in the containment unit last month. Normally, we don’t remove them from DONHE premises, nor do we play them for humans, but this is a special case. May I?
All of his limbs are breaking, and he’s experiencing total organ failure. His heart is going to stop next.
Female, 30s - middle aged. Only has these three lines.
