Midwich Valley OCT Round 4
Project Overview
I'm currently participating in an Original Character Tournament (OCT) called Midwich Valley where inmates are thrusted into a Battle Royale for the chance to escape a multidimensional and seemingly inescapable collapsing prison.
My character is a small little Space Bee who broke into the dimension believing there were no other residents present, and was hoping to gift this location to his god-like creator, Atsor (from a species known as an Ansheqaran) in order to continue his mission of trapping other Ansheqarans and their servants after a war. So far, the Bee has managed to win against a radio necromancer, the dreaded Devil Himself, and a duo consisting of a veteran with a troubled past and a lovable amnesiac robot guard.
Although our determined Space Bee has slowly been internalizing the complexities of power structures, dynamics, and what it means to be alive, he has committed a terrible accident: Space Bee almost fatally wounded the director of the prison and now has half the prison staff after his head. He is stalling for time until his Ansheqaran can rescue him, but time is running out: Midwich is collapsing and the walls are creeping every so closer with each passing hour. How is he going to find a way to fix or escape the dimension with its citizens, and get back home?
The project (currently linked) is a series of animatics that focus greatly on storytelling and, occasionally, music-coordinated fight scenes. For this video, there will also be segments in VN (Virtual Novel) style due to time constraints.
At the moment, we've entered Round 4 and I have been paired up against eirastrid, versus their OCs, Emilia and her doctor, Quinn. Currently, I'm only missing a voice actor for Quinn. The others already have volunteers.

Quinn is an extension of Midwich Valley itself. A being made of rocks and grudges. She had allowed the prison to build its facility but it now keeps her trapped within its tower and slowly draining the cave system of its resources. Midwich itself is collapsing and her final hope is an inmate named Emilia whom she has a complicated relationship with. The more Quinn is exposed to those around her, the more human she acts: developing romantic but possessive feelings toward Emilia, and holding grudges and anger toward the prison's directors and managers.
Her role is secondary in the story, and through previous entries from the competitor, we explore the frustrations she is going through trying to save her home and running into walls again and again. Emilia becoming somewhat of a beacon of hope, for better or worse.
