The banner/profile for this looks terrible sorry but it's the best I got rn (old art... Yay....) Also be prepared for a lot of yapping.

all character designs shown are just a basis, I am in the process of making concepts of them all.

more roles will open once more characters come out, this is a basis. Voice acting isn't a main priority, but it's here because I might as well get it early. Also once this listing is deemed unsearchable by CCC, I'm putting up a new listing with roles that have not yet been filled.

Ok so this is the pitch kind of:

The world blurs as your eyes open, sunlight scattering through the dense canopy of oak trees above. Leaves shimmer in hues you can’t name, and the air hums with a quiet tension. Your back aches and skin burns, as if you have been dragged across the world. You’re lying on soft earth, wondering and unsure on how you got here, when a blurred figure steps into your vision. As your vision becomes clearer, you can see a girl with pink hair and soft eyes like dawn, standing over you. Her presence is calm, almost comforting, yet something about her feels… nevermind, that's not important. Her voice is gentle, lilting, almost a whisper, and it carries a weight you can’t place.

"John… come look. We have a newcomer."

(purity) is an upcoming Roblox story-adventure game, inspired by An Underground Hangout and Omori. You awaken far from the Banlands, your place of exile, and are thrown into a world shaped by legends, rotting gods, and shadows of the past. You will encounter popular myths and hackers from Roblox, admins they call gods and a being created out of divine obsession as you learn the true meaning of “purity”.

The Hollow has been waiting for your arrival for a very, very, long time, Fledgling.

I aim for this to be a project that encompasses both things I notice people (and I), have enjoying a lot recently, like Roblox admins, hackers and myths, but also my own characters and lore mixing in with that. So it will be a little bit different, kinda Roblox related, kinda not.

I will be the one handling designs and animations (there will be spots open for people who can do this too, because it's a lot for me to handle, but it is what i can contribute aside from direction) and general direction of the project (and likely more aspects too but that's my extent of skills) but I am looking for:

-Voice actors

-Builders

-Composers

And probably some more positions to fill in the gaps of things I am not capable of myself.

Also I'm like literally broke so it's a very small/no budget unless I find a way to make some robux for it (cries, no real money 😭 maybe like.... Four bucks to split, how does that sound) like with UGCs or smth. I don't think you need any money to actually make a roblox game though so its probably fine.

REQUIREMENTS/other stuff:

-Must have Discord for easy contact

-Must be over 13 to participate at all. Also preferably under 18-20, but if you can handle yourself among minors then it's chill

-You understand the type of project this is (hint hint: it's a passion project)

-Have reasonable availability (and by this, I mean don't just vanish for like months at a time. It's ok to take breaks)

-Have basic respect for other staff, me and the characters

-Just... Be a good person? Please.

Ok last thing, but most importantly. there is a chance this entire project will be scrapped, but nothing is certain/confirmed. If the project doesn’t start strong or I get overwhelmed, it may be canceled or postponed.

It’s a 50/50. Please keep that in mind before joining. Once again, this is a PASSION PROJECT and something I have personal freedom to put down and work with it.

If the project gets cancelled, please respect my choices. I am not very mentally stable as a person and to try and start something like this is very overwhelming. I'm aware it's dumb to start something like this when I'm constantly in a poor state, but I always believe it's good to try something new :D

  • Update for VAs auditioners and a general update

    Heyo to all the voice actors who have auditioned (and possibly yet to audition). I’ve started picking out a few people for certain roles that I really enjoyed!! (though not all roles yet)

    However, with that said, nothing’s fully set in motion yet. It all depends on how well the game gets off the ground. If things move forward the way I need them too, those selected for roles WILL be able to just jump it and start what they signed up for basically

    Also just a quick note since I need to stop making a billion updates and bothering everyone: I'm currently putting together a Discord server and will send that out in an update when I'm done! You can join just out of interest even if you hadn't applied for anything yet.

    AND FINALLY some roles will be taken down from this CC (specifically the ones that did not match into the sections I needed, such as the scripter stuff. That will all be added into the dc for auditions if you are interested)

  • UPDATE: WOAH, ITS NOT POST-PONED ANYMORE PROBABLY?!?!?

    HI! Haha guess what, I've decided to start reworking this, like making it easier on myself (ex. removing some characters [dw, no one's who's already been auditioned for yet], changing lore + possibly game style, etc.)

    However, it is still teetering on the edge of being completely cancelled and actually attempting to gain progress. Sorry this is always something that's said, but it needs to be known because I am a extremely indecisive person (+ I've been trying to weigh pros and cons...) so yeah.

    But yes, definitely look out because many things are changing!!! (while still keeping a basis, I hope, of what I promised)

    Also something that would definitely help would be people who can get involved with creative roles of the production of the game, aside from VA's, like SCRIPTERS, MODELERS, UI DESIGNERS, ARTISTS, MUSICIANS, ETC... I know this isn't quite the place to find some of these types of people, but I believe it's worth a shot since I have not much anywhere else I can promote this.

    Ok yeah, that's about it, and also tytytyty to all of the people who have auditioned as VAs, there are definitely some I have taken an interest in...

  • Post-poned

    As title say, post-poned for a good while. I have ended up figuring out something much more manageable, mostly after deciding this was too much for someone like me to handle. Also due to the lack of attention (3 bot replies for example) and also lack of my own interest currently. Feel free to still audition, I don't mind, though there's no point lol. I'll still have the project in my hand for a while, so it's not entirely forgotten about. Also this is mostly for anyone running across this now, just a note. Ok bye

(Agender. It/its)

Think like a mixture of Cyn (Murder Drones) and Bill Ciphers (Gravity falls) voices. The way of speech is like Cyn, but it's actual voice is more along the lines of Cipher. A voice modifier can be used to get a more glitchy effect or whatever you wanna call it. 

It has a flat or monotone tone to it usually, but it can be more expressive depending on their code at the time. It is very robotic and doesn't have full comprehension of its world, though it does have some.

Cool and commanding. She doesn't have a booming voice, and she speaks softly but it's still loud enough to be heard. Elm is the deputy of the Hollow and she has a cool horse wow
