Sorry for taking so long to cast 😠The first episode is out and the second episode is currently in production. Since [most of] these are additional voices for later episodes, I will be viewing them at a later time [if not, I am going to make those decisions right now.] Again, I am terribly sorry for making you all wait this long.
Shintaro is the main protagonist of the series. A digital girl named Ene that lives inside his computer causes him to go outside for the first time in two years, where he meets the Mekakushi Dan and becomes its seventh member.
Shintaro is a young man with an IQ of 168. Thanks to his high intelligence and likely the latent use of his eye ability, Retaining Eyes, he has perfect photographic memory. However, likely due to subconscious memories of past Routes, he finds that everything in the world is predictable and has obvious answers, and he would get perfect scores on his exams and even games he has not played before. Because of this, Shintaro grew up with an apathetic personality. In middle school, he was openly selfish and arrogant and showed signs of depression. It is implied that his loneliness prior to meeting Ayano Tateyama is a significant contributing factor to his depression and also his personality.
During his first year in high school, he became close friends with his upperclassman Haruka Kokonose, and they would spend time with Ayano and Takane Enomoto often. He becomes distraught after learning about Haruka's imminent death by his illness. On the night of August 15th of that year, he meets Ayano, whom he doesn't know is actually Kano using his eye ability. Kano tells him that "everything is your fault". The next day, he learns about Ayano, Haruka and Takane's deaths, and afterwards, devastated, he drops out of school and becomes a NEET. He also does not go outside for two years until the present plot. A year before the present plot, he downloads Ene from an email from an unknown sender and is thereupon unable to remove her from his computer.
Retaining Eyes: Shintaro's eye ability, given to him by Marry after promising long ago to "never forget this Tragedy", allows him to remember everything he sees. Unlike others, he does not visit the Kagerou Daze each Route to gain this ability and instead has it since before birth. When his ability is fully activated, he can remember events of past Routes and directly speak with the Snake of Retaining Eyes. In Manga Route 2, Ayano Tateyama trades her life to become the snake for this ability.

(about Ene) "When I first saw her, I thought, "Hey, she's cute," but in reality, she's nothing but bad news. What kind of nut job would write a program like her, anyway? She never shuts up, she deletes my files... Seriously, she is the worst."
(frustrated) "This day sucks! Just my luck. On the one day I happen to go outside for the first time in two years, I end up as a hostage for a terrorist group! (calm) Well, I guess I'm not entirely helpless...
*strictly* Absolutely not. If you want to study, you can do it at home.
*angrily* Didn't I make myself clear?!
*flustered* I said I don't know! Go look somewhere else!
You should go ask the police. You know, police officers!
*authoritatively* Excuse me! I heard that a class around here was running a shooting game booth!
*surprised* P-Please excuse me! Does that mean you are Ene, then?
*pleading* Master Ene! Please play me!!
*in shock* Who... who are you?! I lost at a shooter?!
*in awe* Skills like yours can't be written off with such superficial words! I could tell by the look in your eyes as you played.
*surprised* N-No way! Did she cheat or something?
Wait, did you say "Ene"? That monster who came in second at the nationals?!
That was the monster's witchcraft talking, not him! She was probably planning to use Tsukihiko to attack the village eventually...
*annoyed* Why are you hesitating? Let's go!
*skeptically* But Tsukihiko said that he'd taken that monster as his wife...
Hey, is that supposed to be the monster's daughter?
*panting as he runs up to the scene* Did you get her?
What the hell? She disappeared! I don't believe it! W-Witchcraft?
*hesitantly* Are you sure this is a good idea?
Wait!! She's just a little kid! There's no need to- *is interrupted*
*forcefully* Talk! Hurry up and tell us where to find the monster who's controlling you!!
We don't want to hurt you... but we can't let that weird thing run loose!
*calling out* Hey, they said there's something that looks like guide marks leading out into the forest!
*announcing on TV* Look at this crowd, even though it's 12:00 midnight! I can't believe it! What in the world is going on?
All of you, halt! Put your hands up!!
*In shock* They... they vanished!
*startled* W-What the--
Look out! Behind us!!
*authoritatively* All right, you people. Come along quietly.
*surprised by headphones buzzing* Damn it, who could be calling now?
