Meckid (College Project/Indie Pilot)
Project Overview
IF YOU PLAN ON AUDITIONING, PLEASE DO IT ASAP. This is a College project that needs doing urgently, so if you could audition, that would be great.
Mike Chang is a young boy who lives a normal life. He goes to school, lives with his mother and has a few friends. But unfortunately, the Town Mike lives in is riddled with criminals. These bad guys rob banks, destroy buildings and worst of all… *shudder* JAYWALK. The citizens have had enough of these villains, so a few of them try and form a resistance. one of these four people being Mike. They try going up against someone… and fail. Three of these people have minor injuries, but Mike is the most damaged with most of his bones broken. However, the town noticed the bravery of these people, Mike especially. The government and the military decide to turn Mike into a half human half robot to try and save it from the villains, who have caused damage to the people and city for far too long. After intense surgery, Mike has had most of his bones replaced, and been given mechanical powers. He can now change into a superhero named Meckid. Mike
has to keep his identity secret, the only people who know are the resistance, the council his mother and his 2 best friends. He has a normal everyday life still, but when duty calls, he runs off, says “GO, MECKID!” And turns into the cybernetic hero. This series takes inspiration from many 2000’s superhero and comedy cartoon shows. Ben 10, SpongeBob, Powerpuff girls, Danny Phantom, Ed, Edd n’ Eddy and the like. Meckid provides a good mix of both action and comedy, it can get pretty silly, but also pretty serious. This is only a test Pilot for college, so it will just be a silly little short, but I'm hoping on turning this into a full fledged series.

Mike Chang is 13 years old. He is full of energy, makes a lot of quips and one-liners and can make mistakes on occasion. Mike is also very selfless and brave, proving to be a loyal best friend. However, Mike Also has the duty of protecting the City of Leymont as Meckid. As Mekid, Mike has improved fighting skills, and can use his powers to combat almost any enemy.
For Mike's voice, I want a young sounding yet heroic male voice. Similar to Alien force Ben 10 or Danny Phantom.

GO, MECKID!
Emi Chang is 31 years old. She is a single mother who is currently raising her only son, Mike. She’s not too strict, but she’s also not too soft. She can worry about her son from time to time, but as she knows his secret, she knows her half-robot son has got it covered. She’s overall a very kind and humble, not perfect, as she can get occasionally hot-headed, but is an overall chill person.
For Emi's voice, I want a calm, motherly voice that can also get a little stern sounding on occasion.

Cam Kanu is 13 years old. He is one of Mike’s best friends. He’s like a twin brother
To Mike except Cam’s a bit sillier. He quips more than Mike, he pulls pranks and gets
Into trouble more often than mike. He can also be a little more irrational with his actions,
But he is also a faithful friend to Mike and Alex. Cam defends his friends and doesn't
Mind doing the odd favour for them.
For Cam's voice, I just want a young male voice. I have opened this up to both male and female voice actors.

Well, this has... gone an interesting way.
Alex Browne is 13 years old. She is Mike’s other best friend. She is the more level-headed of the group. But she has her flaws at times. She’s an A level student at school, and has lots of trophies, but still likes to hang out with Mike and Cam, who are the more unpopular kids at school. She can look past her accomplishments and see people for who they really are on the inside. She can also call the boys out when they're either acting out of line or a bit stupid.
For Alex's voice, I want either a young British or American female voice.
