Project Overview
Basic instruction
Hello, and welcome to "MatchMaker*❤", a visual novel & stat-rising hybrid game. I'm not new to creating fun and coding, but I have taken a break from it, so I'm excited to get a team going and work on this passion project of mine.
Monetary compensation
Currently, there is no payment planned, but if the game progresses with ease, and we'll have enough content to show to the public, I will start a funding process for the game to support its continued creation.
Story plot
You play as Rory (Name changeable) who is a complete fanboy over the school heartthrob, Teddy (Theodore). Wanting to live out a real-life romance story, he decided to help one of the guys with feelings (an obsession) for Teddy. Now, can Rory juggle playing cupid and his studies, or will he fail again and get expelled?

The game is planned to involve themes like:
- Queer identities
- Obsessive/toxic behavior
- Description of abusive relationships

Project Update 2
Currently I'm working with fleshing out a more robust idea for the mechanics, what backgrounds will be needed, and figure out the code for the minigames that will be added to the game.

For today, 1.5k words have been written down, the prologue has been finished. Before the coding begins, I'll wait for the art to start being made, and the prologue to be revised.
Currently, we're going to be working on one route, and after it's fully finished, we will move to another route, if everything goes to plan.

You will be working closely with the director of the project, with them aiding you in the designing process by discussing what should be added, giving descriptions of the characters, and more.

Your role will be to turn the given rough design done by the character designer into needed sprites. You will be asked a specific number of expressions and such, only based on what is needed at the moment. You will be working closely with the director, with them helping out as much as possible.
